Hopefully we do, Maresca seems to have a good idea of what players work for him so i trust him that Sensi is the right player for us.

He went on a free

In regards to 14/15 you cannot compare the club's first season in the PL in a decade to our first season in the championship in a decade, of course the fans were more up for it than this year. There were also a substantial number of fans calling for Pearson to be replaced at this point in the season despite the brand of football.
-
It's interesting because there were cases where people moaned about Rodger's dull brand of football and got spat on. Whilst i am not the biggest fan of possession football, Enzo's style is a lot more dynamic than Rodgers ball and yet it's apparently much more acceptable to moan about the style we are playing now than the one we were playing 1-2 seasons before it. Hopefully the atmosphere improves when we get promoted because it's put a dampener on an otherwise great season.
-
Or he's really good next season and we lose him for nothing. 1.5 year contract is too short for me, especially if we're spending £2mil for what is essentially a loan.
-
There may not be any options in the Winter transfer window but if we get an offer for 40m in the summer i would take it, we could replace him and give ourselves some FFP wiggle room for other transfers with that money.
-
Not sure there's many strikers who could get 5 goals in 1100 pl minutes, let alone 5 assists on top of that.
-
40m is a good price for him if we're being honest. Dont get me wrong he is a very good player but that kind of money would help us out a lot.
-
I think it may be just me who thinks Cannon's pressing is really weak. Whenever i see him when we're not in possession he's barely moving.
-
Still think that even though he's not at his best he is still our best striker. I would feel much more confident going into next season with Vardy as our main man than Daka or Cannon, even though i do think they are both good. Hopefully he stay at least one more year.

Leicester vs Birmingham - FA Cup - Match Thread

They were overperforming prior to Rooney like Preston were. They are very much a midtable side. -
Luke Thomas to Middlesbrough until the end of the season

Training at the gym as an amateur and training as a professional athlete are different situations. Football players not only have to be strong but they also have to be mobile and flexible, the club physio most likely will have given Thomas a workout routine and would not want him to train too much on developing muscles. -
Luke Thomas to Middlesbrough until the end of the season

I disagree, Thomas was a better player when he broke through. Yes he could have worked on his game a bit more but he also seems to have suffered from being in a bad environment and mismanagement which was down to Rodgers. His game does have weaknesses but i think he is struggling with lack of confidence as much as anything else. -
Had a good game last night but when the popular opinion is that youre a bad player it's hard to turn that opinion around.
-
Ispwich used it as an opportunity to line up their press. We think we're "inviting them on to us" but 5 seconds later theyre breathing on Hermansen's neck with no passes available to him.
-
Who are we going to play instead of him though with Dewsbury hall and Ndidi injured. Praet and Akgun are on a similar level to Casadei (that's assuming Praet is even fit).
-
I think the claims that he's not PL level (or PL proven or whatever) are a bit ridiculous. He was arguably our second best player in 21/22 when we finished 8th and he performed well in EL and the conference league against teams like Napoli, PSV, Rennes etc. If youre basing it on last season then yes he was substandard but players like Tielemans and Catagne were also below the standard for staying up and they're PL level.
-
I think he could if he finds the right team. He has a good mixture of athleticism, technical ability and foofball intelligence.
-
Bamford seems to have played his way back into being first choice for Leeds. Just shows the difference in levels between the PL and the Championship, Bamford was ridiculed in the PL and Piroe was praised in the Championship yet Bamford has ended up on top.
-
They cooperate on signings but Casadei and Sensi are probably players who Enzo picked out and Glover gave the green light to and players like Mavididi, Yunus, Fatawu, Winks and Coady are probably players who Glover picked out and Enzo gave the green light for. Winks might have been a player maresca requested himself.
-
On form he is a CL level player, Inter Milan fans said his performances when he first joined were some of the best theyve seen recently from a midfielder.
-
There's been quite a few players who have struggled at championship level then performed elsewhere. Balogun was mediocre at Middlesborough then got 19 goals in ligue 1 one season later for example.
-
His positional sense is weak which is one of the most important attributes in a possession side and why he has never done well here apart from as a wide midfielder. He has the technical ability but lacks the football intelligence to give us the control we need from midfield.
-
For me we just lacked the same amount of control when he played as we had with Ndidi and Dewsbury Hall. Ndidi has missed plenty of sitters this season as well but with the dominance we had it didnt matter as much.
-
He was a bit disappointing but i think he would have kicked on for the rest of the season with Ndidi out injured.
