  1. I havent seen anything from Cannon to suggest he's a striker that excels at holding up the ball. He seems like more of a pure goalscorer.
  2. Justin's been a bit frustrating recently, would have liked Doyle to start the next few championship games instead of him.
  3. Pretty sure it's mostly the Algerians who refer to Mahrez as Mehrez, i always assumed it was a kind of variant on the name.
  4. We got 24 points from the last 22 games in the 19/20 season, it wasnt inconsistent, it was consistently lower midtable form for over half the season. For example if we had that form in this PL season we would be between Bournemouth and Crystal palace. The 19/20 season is incredibly overrated, a run of games where Vardy was finishing every chance that landed to him masked the fact that we were poor for the majority of that season.
  5. https://theathletic.com/5335889/2024/03/13/jamie-vardy-leicester-phenomenon/?source=user-shared-article At the end of the article Rob Tanner says we are looking to renew his contract in the summer
  6. How did teams like Aston Villa, Fulham, Brighton, Leeds etc get away with spending 100s of millions soon after promotion. Aston Villa in particular have spent more than us and have higher wages.
  7. He's scored in our last 2 games consecutively and he's scored our last 3 goals.
  8. We're in midtable form, if Enzo cant improve on that with the squad we have then it is his fault. A run of poor form is not the end of the world but he does need to turn it around soon.
  9. Similar was said when Rodgers got us fifth in his first season after having a 14 point lead. We have thrown away our points lead on second, Enzo really needs to show he knows how to turn around a poor run of results as he wont leave this season with much credit if we finish 3rd or even second really.
  10. Southampton and west brom are harder
  11. Think callum doyle needs to be first choice, Justin hasnt been good recently.
  12. Burnley's issue was that they tore up their championship title squad from last season, not that the team weren't good enough to make the step up. Who knows, they might have done better this season if they had made less transfers in the summer. Personally i think keeping a conistent core of players from the promotion side is vital to staying up and establishing yourself in the PL. At least 7-8 of our regular starters should be starting next year.
  13. Interesting to watch the 13/14 season back, there were some terrible performances at the start where i think i current team would dispatch them easily but the 13/14 team hit another gear at the end of the season where i think they edge out the current team.
  14. If you dont think that Vardy, Mahrez and Kante were world class then i dont know what to say. Vardy has one of the best scoring records in PL history, Mahrez has been the best player on the pitch in games against the likes of Real Madrid and PSG in the CL and Kante has won pretty much everything in football.
  15. 9 penalties. Nugent was a good player but he wasnt a reliable goalscorer from open play like he's made out to be nowadays. 13/14 Vardy was already a better goalscorer than him.
  16. The issue is is that Ndidi usually seems to have a hard time returning to form after coming back from an injury. Hopefully he will be starting and playing his best for us sooner rather than later.
  17. With all the crosses that we put in he could have been a useful tool against low blocks in the second half of the season.
  18. Their left back in that game was far worse than Thomas. Saka went past him like he wasnt there.
  19. We have spent a lot more money on far worse players since we sold Mahrez. I would rather spend 19 mil on an inconsistent but exciting young winger than the 60 mil plus that we spent on duff like Ghezzal, Perez etc.
  20. Just me who thinks he hasnt been bad at all recently?
  21. He just seems a lot more suited to playing off the left than the right, on the left he can put decent crosses in and get on the end of good goal scoring opportunities. I am not sure what he offer when played on the right of midfield.
  22. Pretty sure youre not allowed to drag the ball on a free kick but we take that.
  23. Leeds after beating us at Elland Road
  24. He's got good passing ability, unlike iversen for example, he's just not as calm on the ball as someone like Hermansen. This can be improved with age and experience.
  25. Championship title is a trophy for me. It's not on the level of the FA cup or League cup but it's still something for the history book.
