  1. Has hardly played football in 4 years and is on £100k a week at Chelsea. Would be a Danny Ward-esque level of signing.
  2. Broja for £25 mil? Bloke is a midtable championship striker at best. The only value a premier league team should be taking him on for is free just to sell him further down the pyramid. He's of no use in top flight football.
  3. The issue with Casadei was that we were developing a player who wasn't ready to perform for us at that point in time. If he becomes our player permanently then instant impact isn't needed like when he was a loan player for us. I think with a season of regular game time he could become a 20 - 30 mil player for us. If Chelsea value him more than 7 mil I would just take the straight cash though.
  4. That's fine but why sign Moder who will come with a lot of the same issues as Soumare with a bit more graft and worse ball carrying abilities? Personally i just dont see why we would want a midfielder who's limited at passing the ball.
  5. It's likely that Soumare will stay this summer. Is it really worth it to risk PSR to play Moder and loan out Soumare for a bit more graft? I don't think so personally. As i said in my previous comment ideally neither of them will be wearing the Leicester shirt next season.
  6. You just know the club are probably desperate to get Soumare off the books as well but are also looking to sign Moder who is a very similar profile of player. Ideally we sell Soumare and don't sign Moder, a decent option would be keep Soumare and not to sign Moder. You just know that Rudkin is probably going to go for the worst options and either sell Soumare and sign Moder or keep soumare and loan him out and sign Moder to replace him.
  7. Not nonsense though is it, it's fairly simple that if you sign senior players as depth then that blocks youth players from breaking through.
  8. He's also not very good though. You are right though, if we are going to block off Alves and Baybrooke's path to the first team then we may as well release them, they arent going to be signing new contracts if they are not valued. This transfer is not only -KDH + Moder but also likely -Alves as well, truly terrible.
  9. Romano was wrong about Potter. Lets hope that he's wrong about Moder, it's like our club have identified the perfect Dennis Praet replacement. Injury prone, low impact player who will be on the bench for the length of his contract.
  10. Isn't the issue with us that we don't sell players at all? It's either a decent sale like Fofana or Chilwell or we turn down good offers like Soumare and Iversen.
  11. Swansea fans seem to like him fairly well, obviously there are a few that dont. He's arguably England's best ever youth coach due to the world cup win and many of the players in the u17 win seem to still have a strong relationship with him after all these years such as Guehi, Foden etc.
  12. Why sign a 20 year old who is struggling to perform in the Belgian league when we could give Baybrooke a go instead? Both of them would be a risk but because one is not already at the club he is seen as more valuable and more ready for the PL.
  13. The same Joel Piroe that many Leeds fans consider to be the biggest flop of the season? No chance he's ready for PL football, needs at least 2-3 seasons in the championship to reach that level, if he ever even gets there.
  14. Think he's talking about Cooper.
  15. We didn't just lose, we got destroyed.
  16. I genuinely think Mavidi, Vardy and Fatawu will be a lethal front three in the PL in a more counter attacking team. Whenever we played a more open team Mavididi in particular would go up a gear. Towards the end of Forest's first season in the PL Cooper had Forest playing some decent counter attacking football and they got decent results off some tough fixtures.
  17. It's not just his position, he looks a different player technically now. At Leicester he never looked fully in control when he dribbled and was rarely able to take players on whereas now the ball looks like it's glued to his feet. Something has to be wrong with our coaching for there to have been this big of a transformation in only a season away.
  18. He was playing like Ronaldinho 😂. Where was that Ayoze Perez when he played for us?
  19. Not like we benefited from that hot young talent tbf. All our best players are still at the club this season and we have Will Alves, Baybrooked and Nelson breaking through who will progress massively under Cooper. Remember Cooper made Rian Brewster look like a 20 mil player from his time in the u17s and at Swansea.
  20. Maybe Bologna actually arent skimming us but are simply offering what his real value as a player is.
  21. That's the championship though isnt it. If we're comparing like for like Cooper walked into a Forest that had won 1 and drawn 1 in their last 8 games to start the season, then proceeded to win 22 draw 11 and lose 6 in the next 38 games which is similar to Maresca's championship record with a far worse squad. At the end of the day a lot of the gloss that gives managers their reputations comes from the players at their disposal compared to the quality of the opposition players. Ranieri was woeful at Watford yet give him prime Vardy, Kante and Mahrez and you can get 80 points. As far as I'm concerned Graham Potter having a 32% win rate with Chelsea is far worse than Cooper having a 22% win rate with Forest. If you look at that Forest squad a 38 point season is not far off the best you would expect from them.
  22. Potter had the backing of Brighton who are a well run club. Cooper had the backing of Forest and their crackpot owner. Potter had multiple elite level players at his disposal, world cup winner McAllister, PL record transfer Caicedo, Pascal Gross, Lewis Dunk, Ben White, Lamptey, Cucurella, Lallana, Trossard etc just to finish 15th, 16th and 9th. Cooper had Morgan Gibbs White and Brennan Johnson, otherwise he had a load of players who arent good enough to get decent results with.
  23. I have a feeling a lot of people our going to get mud on their face when he turns out to be a decent manager for us.
  24. O'hare, Dwomoh and Gabriel Pereira as our signings would probably give me a bigger meltdown than everyone freaking out over Cooper.
  25. This, I would have preferred Corberan but I am just happy that we haven't signed Potter, AKA Brendan Rodgers V2. Potter would have most likely been an unmitigated disaster for the club considering he would join us with one foot out of the door already.
