  1. Conte famously has an incredibly intense training regiment and that seems to have caused problems, more intense that anything we have in England. He was relatively fit last season, I think if we manage his minutes he can be healthy.
  2. Ronnie Edwardsz, Sara and Sensi.
  3. That performance from Hamza was vital. West Brom easily could have won and the downwards spiral would have continued. For all the flak that he gets from our fans he possibly saved the future of our club that day.
  4. Will Alves absolutely needs to play a part. One of the biggest talents we've produced in a while and is finally fit. He reminds me a bit of Florian Wirtz.
  5. Dont mind Southampton honestly apart from their Rodgers regen of a manager. Their fans are generally sound unlike Leeds.
  6. https://x.com/lcfczain/status/1783961747633602803
  7. Piroe has to be one of the worst players in the top 4 teams. So glad we didnt sign him.
  8. He was good in the 2020/2021 season as well. Played a big part in our FA cup win.
  9. Maddison, Tielemans and Barnes had some high highs for us but they also had some very low lows. Not just because they were part of a relegation team but on an individual level as well they would drop off a cliff performance wise out of nowhere. The fact that we had three players that are on paper some of our best ever and were in their prime, in a relegated side, speaks volumes about the consistency and reliability of those players. You also have to factor in that out of those 3 only Tielemans played a major part in our FA cup.
  10. Why would we shift the best striker our club has ever had in order to develop players who wont perform at the same level. As long as Vardy is performing we should try and get as many years out of him as possible, we wont see someone near his level for a while.
  11. Even if he declines next season and doesnt perform it wont affect his legacy in any way. The only risk in extending him is financial.
  12. Mavididi had one of his better performances today I thought. Maybe not at his absolute best but he had a classy assist and that one run where he took on 3 to 4 Southampton players and came out with the ball.
  13. 10 games ago I was the same but now I would be relieved if we finished second.
  14. They might have played more recently and may be more tired but i was saying that we can't play a pressing style like we did at the start of the season. It requires a level of fitness that we dont currently have.
  15. We're too knackered to play a pressing style against Southampton. Our midfield wouldn't get anywhere near them.
  16. Put his body on the line for the badge today. If we go up his performance today will have been a big part of that
  17. Faes LCB I'm presuming.
  18. Will Alves and Baybrooke not getting any first team minutes this season is such a blow. Not anyone's fault apart from Caden Voice but it's so frustrating.
  19. I remember the opposite under Rodgers. There were multiple times last season where we were on a bad run of form and we would revert to a more attacking, free flowing style only for us to return to that rigid, slow paced style once the pressure was off. I remember @Matt being shut down on here for being sceptical whenever we had a decent win because it would mean Rodgers would get comfortable again and put the shackles back on our players.
  20. If we were in the PL and KDH played for another championship team our fans would be creaming themselves at the prospect of signing him. Look at how our fans were desperate to sign players like Benrahma or Piroe, who aren't half the player that Dewsbury Hall is. Also in terms of his time in the PL our fans have been quick to write off his 21/22 season, which was generally very good and proves that he can perform well at that level.
  21. They spent 30mil on baleba and 30mil on Joao Pedro. Brighton arent as tight with their wallet as some think.
  22. If we sell Dewsbury hall for 30m and sign Sara for 20m on a 5 year contract we would technically have +£26mil on the books for next season because of the way amortisation and ffp works. It's not unlikely that we invest a decent amount in a KDH replacement if we do sell him.
  23. If we go up and Norwich dont then Gabriel Sara seems like a like for like replacement. Dont get me wrong we are very lucky to have Dewsbury Hall this season but it's not like he's irreplaceable.
  24. I'm still in, depends what happens till the end of the season. The difference for me is that Brendan was an experienced manager who hadn't improved on his shortcomings from 5 years earlier at Liverpool. Maresca is still new to being a manager and is essentially learning on the job with us. Also unlike Rodgers, Maresca seems to have an idea of what players are suitable to play his style ie winks at DM, Hermansen in goal, Fatawu and Mavididi on the wings. Rodgers tried to play out of the back with Schmeichel in goal and Ndidi at DM which almost never worked.
