If it's a choice between Ricardo and Cooper then sayonara Cooper! Hopefully Top and Rudkin make the right choice.

They need to come to terms with the fact that they are relegation fodder this season as well. I dont think we will play many teams away from home this season where we will leave thinking we should have had 3 points.

I fear that it already has, we have to pay Bobby Reid and Ayew's wages for the next 3 years, no chance we are going to be able to offload them. Will Alves isn't even getting on the bench for us, his treatment under Cooper reminds me of O'Riley's under Scott Parker at Fulham. Sadly for him he didn't see the signs during pre season and wasn't smart enough to run down his contract with us like O'Riley did at Fulham.

I dont mind him but I dont see him having much about him either. Not his fault that he costed so much but I feel it's a bit premature to call him excellent and a bargain before we've even won a game with him in the side.

He's a good midfielder for the level of a newly promoted side that expects to lose every game. I'm not so sure that warrants the £20mil price tag.

Fatawu has not been honking. At his worst he's our best defensive grafter on the wing and at his best he wins us points going forwards like Spurs.

I wouldn't say Kasper, Drinkwater and De Laet were PL experienced players before they joined us. The others do show that there is value in PL castoffs though.

Alves wasnt playing in the u21s at 15 years old. He also had that ACL at 17, otherwise i think he would have broken through last season.

We're a football team, we're not going to give him gametime as a charity exercise. Jeremy Monga is one of the best talents we have produced in a long time, he's not a "school kid" he's a potential 8 figure asset that we need to be careful to hold on to. There's a good chance that giving Monga more incentive to stay with us than to move to a big 6 side will benefit us more than it does Monga.

Pathway to first team football mate, not consistent minutes. Give him some some minutes in the league cup and FA cup and assure him that he will be around the matchday squad in 3 or so seasons and he will stay.

Young players will go where there is a pathway to first team football and where they will be paid well. If we cant offer one of the best English talents of his generation that then the people responsible deserve to get slagged off.

He's good but Neuer's a tough act to follow for any keeper.

Mavididi only ever struggled against low blocks. When the opposition comes at us he usually excels.

Considering our fans were desperate to sign him for £20mil when he was at Celtic surely this isnt a bad deal at the right price.

I dont think this is correct as he was not cheap for the player that he is. If we do sell him I think we will struggle to get our money back let alone make a profit. In Italy he was considered a €5mil-€6mil player which is around half what we have paid, not very shrewd business. The buy low sell high model only works if teams with money to splash are interested in him. I dont think his ceiling is high enough for teams with enough cash to spend the £15mil+ on a centreback that's required to make a profit will go for him.

I am not sure that it is as wild as you are saying. If there was are strong arguments for signing him then I wouldn't mind hearing them. He's currently not good enough to displace Faes or Vestergaard, and they are hardly knockouts at this level either. He costed too much in a transfer window where we needed to spend our money wisely on improving our team. Especially when we had Coady and Nelson ready to play the backup role for us. All signs point too very little thought being put into this transfer by the club. Yes he might come good in a few years but so can Nelson and Nelson has the higher ceiling.

It feels like we had allocated around £10mil for a centreback this summer, we went through our list of targets and asked around and Atalanta snapped our hand off for the money offered. Then we went through with it as it was easy business and another position off the checklist. If he really is "one for the future" then we should have just stuck with Ben Nelson. As a club we need to be smarter with our transfers and actually put some thought into whether they are better than what we already have available.

I am sure there are quite a few people on here like me who were content with the Cooper appointment as we thought he had 2 qualities that would work well for us: 1. Youth development - It's fair to say now that Cooper is not pro youth development. Ben Nelson is further from the first team than he was last season, with Okoli who might as well be a youth prospect being in front of him. Alves is now also behind Reid (who also might as well be a youth prospect based on his performances), Alves looked good against league 2 opposition, Reid has looked terrible against PL opposition. Is Alves better than Reid? We haven't seen enough of Alves to conclude that as Cooper barely played him in pre season. I think he is better than Reid though. 2. Pragmatism - Enzo got plenty of criticism from our fans for his lack of tactical inflexibility but at least his tactics allowed for our best players to be on the pitch. I would argue that Cooper has been even more tactically inflexible so far than Maresca was. He has benched one of our best, if not our best player in Ricardo Pereira just because he is set on playing the RB as a centre back. If he wants to do well at this football club then he has to adjust his tactics to get Ricardo onto the pitch. Now that we have more of a clear picture of what Cooper at Leicester looks like some of us are not liking what we see and personally for me so far it hasn't been about the performances which can change on a dime but the transfer strategy and his approach to our key players

Sadly Leicester under Steve Cooper is not the place to develop or get chances for young players. Maybe under Maresca it would have been better for him to stay but he needs to go out on loan ASAP. It's a shame as i think he could have performed well for us already, even at this level and it's a risk sending him on loan where a medical team might not take as much care with him as we would have.

Whilst Okoli seems like a not so great signing, I think he's a similar level of player to Faes. At least if Faes goes we can get some value for our £13mil.

Experience is a very overrated aspect in football. I would feel more confident in staying up if we had Alves on the left wing than Cordova Reid.

I could understand the Buoananotte signing if he was genuinely an elite talent but currently i dont see it, he very much looks like a standard talented 19 year old who struggles to impose himself on the game at this age. I am not so sure he is any better than Alves.

If we had signed 1-2 genuinely good players this summer we would be set to avoid relegation. A little bit of quality can go a long way.

I think with teams coming at them instead of sitting back they will be a lot more entertaining.

Should be the other way around, the right back position should be locked down for Ricardo and Kristiansen and JJ should be competing for the left back position.
