  1. Drinkwater's half-volleyed equaliser at home to Watford in the promotion season was a good 'un. Think I ran the length of my row in L1 doing my best Jose Mourinho impression! (Bit depressing that the row was empty with people leaving early "to beat the traffic"... lol!)
  2. That might be the single most mental I've ever gone at a game. Helped that Leeds didn't shut up all game until the goal! And a few pints before loosened the inhibitions
  3. What a time to be alive that was! Mind, a week or so later was it when Deeney scored. Football gives, and it certainly takes!
  4. One of my favourites that. Think I've still got the bruises on my shins from crashing into the seats when jumping about!
  5. No doubt about it, he was a bloody good player.
  6. Agreed. Arteta looks like he's finally getting the squad that he wants, and the performances to match. If he stays there, I can see them becoming more of a threat to the top positions.
  7. Moira? No, she's still there. I used to work with her daughter. Its a great little boozer in my opinion. However, and this is again just my opinion, I don't think football fans are what they're after in terms of clientele but they just can't turn the money down.
  8. Just to add, so you get your soft drink in a crappy plastic cup to take to your seat. As we all know, it's predominantly standing in these blocks so you run the risk of wearing the drink in your socks if we score and there's a rush towards the away fans. But what really annoys me is I don't like Pepsi, I prefer Coca-Cola. So they're not letting me bring in my own choice of soft drink, but their options on offer are crap.
  9. Enjoy the Edinburgh Derby! Just as long as the Jam Tarts win!
  10. I'll second this. Absolutely brilliant.
  11. Did you get the quails eggs in OK though?!
  12. Celtic do it for the Lisbon Lions in the 67th minute. Love that chant. Definitely think it'd be class to do the same for Vichai regarding singing the chant for him at the same minute each game
  13. Feel like the club have employed this fella
  14. Even if it is, I would simply counter it with the fact that Djimi Traore won the Champions League.
  15. Why is it? Do you think his performance on Sunday warranted Danny Murphy waxing lyrical over it? He wasn't bad by any stretch, but it wasn't the kind of performance that should have had pundits gushing with praise. The fact he has played much better and not received the praise due for it on their show is frankly an irritant. The whole thing just smacked of "Oh, we need to talk about one player of each team, we haven't really watched the game so regarding Leicester, let's quickly cobble together some 'highlights' of Maddison's performance."
  16. Yes! Purely for the return of "Good eee-buh-ning" in his post match interviews.
  17. Danny Murphy raving about Maddison's performance yesterday. Don't get me wrong, he wasn't bad but he's had better games and nothing said.
  18. An absolutely brilliant post and I think you've hit the nail on the head. Sir Alex Ferguson is the perfect example of Jock Stein's theory - how many times did Sir Alex overhaul the squad at United, or alter things (whether formation or the daily schedule) slightly to get a reaction from his players? Admittedly Man Utd provided a very ample budget to allow him to do so. I think ultimately we have to say thanks for what Rodgers has done for us, but it might well be time for him to either reinvent himself a bit, or move on.
  19. During a lull in the second half, I could hear the singing section from where I am in L1. Fair play to those involved. My biggest gripe with the Union FS is their branding - hate the US Army Corps 1970 style font they use
  20. Same here. Quite liked him at Dortmund, but I don't speak German so I think that's why I never noticed his constant whinging!
  21. I was having a pleasant morning until I read that. Now I'm just sat feeling numb with Dido "Thank You" playing on repeat.
  22. Now there's an idea...!
  23. I would imagine so, as long as the international transfer certificate has been processed and received by Nice. They'd then have to register him with the FFF and LFP - no idea what deadlines they'd impose. I think the bigger issue, albeit not insurmountable by any means, would be on how much time he's had with his new team mates to work with them. Nonetheless, I've set it to record while I'm down the City!
  24. Probably too busy being above average at lawn bowls or inline skating.
  25. Clinton Morrison actually makes me yearn for Andy Townsend, he is that bad. Much to the chagrin of some, Emma Hayes is one of the best pundits. Tells you why you have seen what you've seen, instead of just doing the audio description person's job!
