"Technical decision" is all he says, and it's very unclear as to what that means. I have a theory based on nothing that Ward is actually a good personality to have in the changing room, and that's why he's being included in the matchday squad. It's the only thing I can think of that makes sense. Otherwise, if you're that worried about 2 keepers getting injured in one game, you just get Choudhury some extra Keeper training sessions. (Only half joking there...)

Not really, £20m is remarkably cheap for a striker like Iheanacho never mind that he's our first choice in that position. If anything, I think that's heavily undervaluing him.

Stats look decent from his year at Preston, if nothing special. Can beat a man and looks like he can press. Can't say I've ever seen him play but not opposed to getting him in as a backup. That said, if the plan is to sell Nacho and replace him with this guy, then I won't be too impressed.

I'm not saying I'm for this, as I would very much prefer us to keep Iheanacho, but Casadei as a false 9 with Ndidi sweeping up behind in a forward press could definitely work.

If he's still here on Monday, then there'll be some happy faces too.

That's a big issue with the contracts signed, and one that needs to be addressed, but that's a long term issue, and each player that walked has either left a successor, or we've recruited this window in a way that looks good to replace them. Obviously only time will tell on how good.
