  1. "But if he were any good, why would he be part of Leicester City's Academy?!" seems to be the mindset at play.
  2. The problem being that we do not have a set of pacey wingers available. If we were capable of playing Mavididi and Fatawu either side of our striker, with El Khannouss or Buonanotte behind, with another pacey winger on the bench that can come on, then I'd agree. Instead we have Ayew and Decordova-Reid, who's advantage is that they are apparently good at defensive hold up play, despite our defensive record being worse when they play, and we still score no goals. In the current system, those two can come on for the wingbacks or the second striker, so they have use on the bench as subs, while we can tighten up the defense and play on the counter. Having fullbacks like Thomas in CB allows the wingbacks to move forward and be fluid on the counter, while letting Thomas move into his natural position. It also helps keep Coady and Vestergaard from being on the pitch at the same time...
  3. For anyone thinking Dyche is the answer, compare Everton now, to them in the first half of the season. I know Moyes is a decent manager, but it's absolutely night and day what he's been doing with the same squad of players who were comparable to ours not so long ago. It's a damning condemnation on Dyche's ability as a manager.
  4. Time to get Gordan Ramsey in to call Ayew a donkey.
  5. I kind of assumed that was the point of the Murphy appointment, as succession planning. With his experience, he's ready to manage a Championship side.
  6. The van in general was great. The only grievances was to a couple of the chosen slides.
  7. That's both TNT and Sky Sports bringing attention to John Rudkin now, and partially agreeing with the fans. That's interesting.
  8. I mean, I'm against the more personal attacks on the van, but I'm not pretending that I don't find them funny. They are. My arguments against are about the reaction in the media, other club's fans, and most importantly, the club. If there's even the slightest whiff of bullying is in the air, and right now, it is, the club board are far more likely to rally behind Rudkin, which is the exact opposite of what we want. The chants are fine, pointing out perceived errors is fine, saying Rudkin Out is fine, because all of that is targeted at his role at the club, and that we're unsatisfied with his performance in the role. The moment any comment is made about him as a person is the moment that it becomes unnecessarily personal, and undermines the entire protest.
  9. OK, only ones I don't think are productive are the valentines one, the clown one and the tracksuit one. The rest are all great.
  10. Yeah, "Premier Ambitions, Amateur Decisions" should never leave the side of that van. It's perfect.
  11. Yeah, to add to the positive side the discussion, "Premier Ambitions, Amateur Decisions" is a spectacular line. Simple, puts the message across loud and clear, catchy. Props to whoever chose that.
  12. Completely agree. Throwing petty attacks around like that is more likely go have the opposite effect, and have the club rally behind Rudkin in defence against the "childish fans attempting to bully a man out of their job". The base image of Rudkin with the red line, and the message Rudkin Out should be more than enough. If you want to add more, instead of petty, personal remarks, state established facts that have gone wrong at the club that were his responsibility. "14 seconds late" "X players gone on a free, £xm lost since 201x" I haven't got figures to hand, but all this stuff has been posted in here over the last week. But stuff like that. That van is the perfect way to demonstrate to outside eyes exactly what we are angry about, but like that, it's just going to demonstrate that we're all entitled fans lashing out because our team is a bit bad.
  13. I don't think the intention is to overthrow the King of Thailand! Not unless Rudkin has really worked his way up the ladder...
  14. You need to speak to Rudkin about that one.
  15. Hermansen Justin Faes Okoli Kristiansen Soumare Ndidi El Khannouss Ayew Vardy Decordova-Reid That's not the team I want to see, but that's what I expect it to be.
  16. But they can't prove that, because you can. It's also very difficult to prove a negative.
  17. Why do we have a new thread for a Liverpool player? Move on, this is looking needy.
  18. Highly disagree. He's very raw, was regularly struggling to beat his man against Stoke, and the glimpses of talent on display does not mean that he's ready for the PL or can add anything to our squad. Right now, as players, all of our wingers are better than Will Alves, which is to be expected at his stage of development. Regular competitive game time at one club in the Championship is exactly what he needs right now, and if we don't get relegated next season, there might even be an argument in the summer to send him out on loan again, depending on the next 6 months.
  19. I thought they were about to go into his breeding pedigree then and I had to check that it wasn't the Racing Post...
  20. brb, getting DeepSeek to write a 5000 word essay on Tete...
