    Booked 2 weeks in Slovenia for August. Flying to Ljubljana, planning on spending 3-4 days there before heading to the coast. Back to Ljubljana for the flight home. Anyone been before?

    We popped in and just took any table they had the next day. I wouldn't say it was overly expensive. We shared a steak around 18oz, 2-3 sides and a bottle of red, no more than what you'd expect to pay in England. Really nice. Cheaper option, plus plenty of pasta is trattoria dell'omo. Some of the simplest yet tastiest food I've ever eaten. Don't expect anything in terms of fine dining or friendly service. Head to dolce maniera too for some pastries/cakes.

    Ooh I need a pair of trainers. Ooh I need a shoe fix. Ooh have you seen the Adidas in JD. What is it with everyone becoming a trainer wxxker? Especially men. Men who go all gooey over a pair of trainers and turn into girls and talk how lovely these shoe shops are and how much they look forward to go and errr, buy a pair of trainers. These big companies have created great marketing campaigns to get people to buy something really cheap for a lot of money and think they are doing something really special. You have been totally sucked in, your buying a pair of trainers ffs. Trainer wxxkers the lot of you.

    Brilliant, cheers both. We're staying in Prospect Heights, plan to spend a lot of time in Brooklyn/Williamsburg. We're both really into our food & beer so expecting to pile it on. We're planning on Times Square at night as our one visit. Looking at baseball or basketball, can't stand NFL.
