  1. Unless Rodgers changes the way they play to get the best out of Kyogo then they will be a fair way off Rangers this season. The drop off from last season to this is alarming.
  2. Cure for car sickness..... It did work for my 5 year old brother in the family Ford Sierra, but I think it was mind over matter 😄.
  3. I had to Uber it from Loughborough to Derby and got the direct train too. The 8pm Nottingham train on the way home was packed, but 80% of it emptied at Cheltenham Spa.... That's my 6 nations done for this year, Edinburgh is a pain to get home from and Dublin tickets are non existent, especially since its our last game.
  4. If you get the chance, go to the Trades bar in the city centre. Great Saturday t time pub, just up from the train station. Do not go to the away end at Tannadice. The leg room in that stand is the worst I've ever experienced. Enjoy.
  5. I'm on a train home too. My word that was too close to call. Cardiff really is the king of a 6 nations day out.
  6. Ireland just do the simple stuff so efficiently and hardly make a mistake. Pressure on every opposition breakdown, and virtually none on their own ball. Can't see past them winning a grand slam now.
  7. Football not good enough considering the money spent pre season. All well and good getting decent performances and results in Europe, but drawing and getting beaten by clubs with much smaller wage bills made him very unpopular with a growing % of the fanbase. There isn't any outstanding candidates in Scotland ready to jump into the helm, and Warnocks gushing desire for Ibrox wouldn't make him a popular choice.
  8. I was stuck at that junction going the opposite way. Barrow to Coalville. Arrived at 750am, crossed over it at 830am..... So frustrating.
  9. Cardiff for me on Saturday to see if we get our 1st win there since 2002...... Big game for both teams that could define the campaign for both. I've seen this film before and will no doubt head home with another defeat in the books, but you never know. East Midland train strikes on Saturday aren't helping my journey plans either.
  10. Great Stadium. Nice stroll through the forest lined with mobile bars and bbq's. Plenty of bars at the stadium too, you won't go thirsty. Bit of a pain in the arse getting out and back to the railway station, guess it depends on the level of policing. We got kept in for an hour and frogmarched through the forest in the pouring rain. Old town Frankfurt was good, the bit round the station not so. Enjoy.
  11. Saw him at Pittodrie for Hamburg in the Uefa cup 1981 at the end of his career Mid winter, snow and ice on the pitch and our young forwards ran him ragged. I heard talksport tonight saying that he didn't like heading, our 2nd goal below proves the point...😁 I was eight and didn't appreciate who he was, but my Grandad who took me to the game couldn't stop talking about him pre match. It was exciting for that generation to see a true great in the flesh.
  12. Good old Deano. If you can get past Amy Irons screeching and Craig Levein presenting, then listen to "sacked in the morning" on Iplayer. The Dean Windass one is good.
  13. Good post, I'm old enough to to remember the late 70's and 1980''s so I was brought up expecting to beat the old firm home and away. The 1991 one was a hard one to take. I travelled down without a ticket but managed to pick one up for the away end at £70. Rangers squad was decimated by injuries and all we needed was a draw. We had clawed back a big gap by playing attacking football but for this game Alex Smith went more defensive. 1st minute, a high cross went into our 6 yard box and Mark Hately absolutely smashed our young inexperienced keeper. He wasn't the same after that. At 0-0 Peter van de ven was clean through with Chris Woods to beat.......he fluffed his chance by trying to dink it. Small margins etc, but once rangers scored there was no way back even though we huffed and puffed. It would have been interesting to see what Hearts would have done when George Burley won the first 12 game before getting sacked by Mad Vlad. The only other time there was a title race to speak of was when Rangers were in Div 3 and Celtic had Ronnie Dalia as manager. We managed to keep pace with them up until January when Klopp decided to recall our best player to Liverpool. Danny Ward believe it or not was on loan and was outstanding. Klopp then didn't play him or use him as a sub......
  14. Pretty much summed up the non old firm fans feelings, hence why we'd be delighted for them to swan off to another league. The main rivalries and one-upmanship sit with the rest of the clubs, and we'll all take a pot shot at the Glasgow 2 in hope more than expectation.
  15. Yeah, came home for 3 home games for Christmas. Got beat in the LC final, travelled to Dundee for it to be called off at 2pm and today called off...... To be fair, it's been wild weather up here today.
  16. The display was the AFC badge and unfortunately the Ultras didnt get a chance to let off all the pyro. Did you see Mezzanine twitter today? I think we've chatted about him before regarding uk supporters.com
  17. I'm sick the way we didn't lay a glove on a very average Rangers team yesterday Could have had potentially two penalties that VAR didn't get get involved with, but Rangers learned their lesson from Pittodrie and defended deep which didn't give Miovski or Sokler space to run into. We'll never have a better chance to win silverware in Glasgow against one of you two.
  18. Gamma Ray in the Woods Admiral Glasgow. Touch of a sore head this morning but heading to Hampden for opening time.
  19. Got the train up north for the final tomorrow and my connection was at Crewe. The Watford young lads were well lubricated at 1130am.....😆😆 I doubt they saw 3pm .
  20. Just listened to his post match interview. He's a politician. praises the fans, takes responsibility, reflect and do do better next week. It's blindingly obvious what's happened, they've changed the style from Postecoglu's move the ball quickly (which Kyogo flourished) to boring slow possession. Jota is a definite miss.
  21. He's been stealing a living for the last 2 seasons. A lot of his mistakes and indecisiveness are beginning to hurt his team.
  22. Should be a good mix of UK fans in and around Dusseldorf. Loads of Scots using it as a base. I booked flights 4 months ago from London city. It got cancelled last week but to be fair BA offered me similar times and prices from LHR. I'll be watching the opening game in Dusseldorf Alstadt or fanzone. I'll keep a look out for a LCFC top 👍.
  23. The 1st game is the one I'm hoping I don't get. I fly late on the 13th into dusseldorf and have a non refundable hotel for 2 nights booked. The game is the 14th. The Swiss game in Cologne seems to be the one everyone wants, but expect loads of Swiss wamting to go to. The Hungary one is weird. The FA have sent all their tickets back to Uefa to sell to whoever they want. Maybe it's so they don't get the blame if their boys in black go on the rampage. Where are you staying? Travelling around or basing yourself somewhere?
  24. For clubs in the "shit third tier European tournament" its brilliant. Most countries take it seriously and its great away days. The conference league is fantastic for clubs that play in domestic leagues who dont benefit from foreign sugar daddies and inflated tv money.
  25. Through gritted teeth......well done the 3 Scottish clubs winning in week 6. Helps the coefficient for the 3rd place clubs in the SPL down the line. I think the English clubs are fighting with the bundesliga clubs for 5 places in the CL next year. We've gubbed Eintracht 2 0 tonight to keep their coefficient down, thank us later 😀 ( or throw us £5m cash)
