  1. Honestly don't know why the Moorings have gone down that route. It's pricey if I remember. Crap service totally spoils the evening, how doesn't the management see that? Not heard a bad thing about the food at the 3 crowns and anytime Ive been in for a pint the owner makes sure the service is good. Famous last words.......enjoy.
  2. Probobly my age, but I can't stand the graphics on the screen.
  3. I walk past that shop every Sunday and never knew it had a bar inside? Any atmosphere? I thought it was a speciality beer and wine shop.
  4. For her, $$$$ For the republicans, ex UK prime minister validating Trump into the Whitehouse. Boris is there doing the same grift and Farage decided to travel as well.
  5. Last forecast was that the wind was going to die down Saturday andSunday, so you might see some lower scores and a dramatic day.
  6. The boot. 👍 Blast from the past, I had some ex inlaws living locally and loved the place.
  7. I saw he was +7 after 13 earlier. Ended up +6. Mcintyre +1 doesn't look a bad score at the moment
  8. Going for him as well. Had a decent week at the renaissance as a warm up.
  9. I'll play devil's advocate, I know England in general pay little or no attention to the Nations league, but if you look at the past winners and runners up it gives an insight into countries that take it a bit more seriously and its an opportunity to play tournament football and learn from the experience Did Gareth miss a trick by not taking it seriously? 2021 Winners France, 2023 winners Spain.
  10. It was obvious to anyone that watched Madrid in May that he was done physically. He should have been given less minutes in the group stages but the draw with Denmark meant Southgate was too scared to rest him for the 3rd game. Then going behind in every game after that meant he had to stay on in the hope of a moment of brilliance from him. It was the same with John McGinn, it was clear he was absolutely knackered in the warm up games and he struggled on in vain for the 3 games in the tournament, albeit he was subbed a few times.
  11. Lee Carsley's a shoe in isn't he? I thought he was the succession plan, he knows the younger players well and it copy's the Spain model.
  12. Gordon was probobly the form player coming into the tournament. Vastly underused. He could have given England a similar outlet that Williams gave Spain.
  13. Great putt to win the Scottish open by Bob. The Ryder Cup has given him so much confidence this year.
  14. England 5/2 in 90 mins seems like very decent odds.
  15. Numerous Morreti and Neck oil at a memorial service at the The Bedford pub, Balham. Shame I had to come back North, loads of pubs round there.
  16. Aye, decent signing. Might need another domineering centre half to deal with corners?
  17. Lots of positives for England after those 2 games. Scotland did what they needed to do last night, I'd imagine the 2nds will play against Chile and Uruguay. SA Ireland should be a cracker.
  18. My commute takes me up Beacon Road to the top of the Beacon Hill, Woodhouse Eves area. In the past, people seemingly didnt want to pay for the car park so they parked by the side of the road while they go on their walks. That used to bother me. I noticed that there are now double yellow lines all the way up the road to stop this. What are people doing now? Making sure that they park on the grass verges so that they are off the road altogether and just above the double yellow lines.
  19. Aberdeen away. It's definitely split opinion. A touch of the Fennerbachy about it.
  20. Antoine Griezmann. I don't watch much La liga, but I've never seen him play well in a tournament for France. Pogba at Man Utd, definitely, but he was brilliant at Juve and at the Russia World Cup. Lewandowski. Flat track bully?
  21. I'm sure the Louden will be nice and friendly.😁.
  22. That's Twickenham for you....... I was more talking about the throwing of full pints that I saw all too often in Cologne, Munich and Stuttgart.
  23. That's a shame for Austria. Their fans were immense in Dusseldorf during the day v France. Never seen so many drunk people at 1pm when the game was starting at 9pm.....
  24. Agree. Got soaked in Cologne and fed up by people constantly leaving their seats and going for beer. Pain in the arse. Works OK in the 6 nations though.
