Just happy it's a loan so we can use him next season in the championship. A real chance he's the only striker at the club after this season
-
Honest question here, but which was the last transfer window we didn't seem short in a certain position? Last season it was creative midfielder in both January and the Summer. This summer, it's CF. Maybe the January before relegation even though it turned out to be disastrous? I don't think we've had a truly succesful transfer window since summer 2020.

Well that's our ability to score more than one a game gone. Luckily we can rely on the defensive abilities of *checks notes* Wout Faes and Yanick Vestegaard ****

Development/Youth Squads 2024/2025 Thread - U18/U21

Nelson looks like he's off to Oxford. Again, a really solid club choice for him. Good coach, should get plenty of games and will do plenty of defending whilst also suiting his playing style. Whoever is arranging our loans out is doing a good job this summer -
Cannot wait for the realisation that we got promoted and immediately went from Vardy, iheanacho, Daka and Cannon to Vardy, Ayew and Daka
-
Can fully imagine him pulling into Seagrave today, full training kit on, oblivious to what day it is
-
This one seems to have come out of the blue a little but makes sense, was showing signs of being above U21 levels and too often we've been a year or two too slow to loan these players out. Good move for him
-
We will run out of time on Fotis, not be able to agree a deal with Chelsea for a Datro loan and bring in Danny Ings on a free 2 days after the deadline
-
Great loan, we know he's more than likely technically up to the job. Attitude seems good too, only question is his physicality. Looking forward to seeing how he does.
-
I'd rather have Ward as backup than spend £10m on someone else. If the argument is we cannot risk Ward being backup for 6 months, then we just need to bring someone in on a free or on loan.
-
Why bring Kaminski in if it isn't to play? Not only do we have either Ward or Iversen as a backup, but also Stolaryczyk to come back from injury. I'm calling BS on the story, but we're so incompetent that it wouldn't shock me if true.

Imagine if Cooper ends up bombing out Ricardo, Hermansen and Mavididi
-
Thank God, desperately need a keeper. An area we are very short in
-
Personally think Justin is a little unlucky in that goal. He's massively let down by both centre backs and slightly by Fatawu too. He steps up a tad which is an awful decision when he should have massively backed off and waited for support, but one player out of position causes panic. When both centre backs are ridiculously out of position, you can't be too surprised when the one remaining defensive body makes a mistake with his decision making.

A free header from 6 yards isn't exactly proof he's the 2nd coming of Baresi
-
Happily see him go for the right price, will always be borderline premier league quality in my eyes and think we can replace with a better player for a similar price. Cannot blame the guy one bit for being dissalluisioned with the club though.

Would be amazed if Feyenoord sell for less than 40m
-
If we had our shit together over the summer we could have easily been a midtable side this year (without points deduction)
-
Couldn't care less about the cups this season so I'd rather this just got minutes under the belt for players. Ward Ricardo Nelson Okoli Thomas Skipp Braybrooke McAteer. Alves. Mavididi Ayew Preferably lead at half time and get Skipp, Ricky and Mavs off as I'd like to see all 3 start against Villa. Would be good to see Golding and Richards make appearances from the bench.

Agree, Vesty and Faes both really poor positionally. Abdul switches off completely too. Just hopped onto a Fulham forum to see their thoughts on us, safe to say they thought we were really bad. Funny, as on here, majority think we need a centre forward and attacking midfielder. Fulham fans seem far more sure that our back 4 was our biggest issue. Okoli hopefully not far off being given a chance.

Everton and Southampton both look absolutely abysmal
-
Just me clutching at straws, or does an offside Alex Iwobi stop JJ getting to Smith Rowe for the first goal?

Bobby De Cordova-Reid joins permanently - Official

Bobby De Cordova Reid Cooper thinks he's fantastic Signed him on a bosman Because Rudkin is a spastic Play a proper winger Steve It should be ****ing easy You've got one sitting on the bench It's Stephy Mavididi To the tune of Yankee Doodle -
Last season it was a side, better on paper than 90% of those we played, with good squad options. We've downgraded. I honestly think the side and coach we had last season would give us a better chance than the one we have this season (dependant on what we do this window). Ricardo and Mavididi starting would also boost that side for me, but honestly, do you look at that side thinking we can either a) keep a clean sheet or b) score more than 1 goal a game. I don't. It's really poor for this level
