  1. I love Fatawu
  2. Other than a keeper or two, the only players I can see moving on are Souttar, Praet and Daka. Sebastian Nanasi has been mentioned on here and would be a great Praet replacement. Ronnie Edwards has really improved defensively at Peterborough this year and could be a good centre back option as either a Faes backup or long term central ball player. And I don't think we bother replacing Daka at all as Cannon should do the job.
  3. Good player but the time for us to get him in was the summer just gone. Will take a better quality of player to build on Yunus/Fatawu/McAteer as right wing options.
  4. He's either had a set back or is on the bench tomorrow. From enzos comments earlier, I'd guess its the latter as Wilf isn't available when we thought he would be
  5. Didn't realise Winks and KDH are only a booking away. Get them no-where near this game. Really looking light in midfield for this game if that's the case though. Hamza, Yunus and Casadei?
  6. Hermansen Justin Faes Coady Hamza Winks Yunus Casadei Fatawu. Daka Iheanacho Get Justin and Winks off as early as possible.
  7. I actually think he has more space because we attack more commonly down the left, so naturally the opponent has more defenders in that area. Mavididi is seeing far more of the ball than Fatawu in games but not in 1 on 1 situations.
  8. Final ball still needs work, and I'm not sure if he's a box to box midfielder who's been asked to be more creative due to the division we are in, or if that part of his game will just always hold him back from the next level. Regardless, he's probably the best player in the league. Only one to have 10 G/A so far.
  9. Best winger at the club for me. Far more threatening one on ons than Mavididi. Needs to work on his decision making and final ball a little but for 19 years old he's a real talent
  10. Plenty of changes and I'd still expect a routine 3-0. Daka hat trick from LW 🤣
  11. Not going to quote the whole post but couldn't agree more with @StriderHiryu. Great analysis as usual. We went long way too much last night. I like it as a surprise option but we completely lost our way with it.
  12. Impressed with Sunderland, although they didn't really force too much from Hermansen. Disappointed with how we played in last half hour, we seemed to lose our way of playing and didn't want to try and break their press, so just went long. Annoying as the first 15 of second half saw us break through numerous times and we could of scored 3 or 4 in that period alone. That being said though, our winning habit just shows no sign of stopping. Sunderland as good as we've played this season and we still deserved the 3 points.
  13. Braybrooke being able to just handle a few minutes for Winks over the Xmas period would be great.
  14. Wouldn't be shocked if we saw him in EFL trophy at Fleetwood on 7th then. Really promising to hear he's close to a return. Hope Sammy is also having similar success with his rehab.
  15. A real possibility we decide not to do anything in January and just wait until the summer when the pool of players willing to move to us is far greater. This however, is one I'd love to see done in Jan.
  16. I was going to suggest Perr Schuurs at Torino, but he's just done his ACL. Although...maybe that means he's perfect!
  17. Looking forward to this one, think Sunderland are one of the tactically most interesting sides in the league. Keen to watch Jack Clarke, would love him at the KP next year
  18. On sale for those with a booking history now.
  19. Inverted roles definitely make the ability to re-create enzo ball a lot more attractive. I'm wondering what roles people have chosen for the wingers when doing this? I've got them on just Winger(A) but not wholly convinced
  20. Highly noticeable at the Preston match how often we played it to Mavididi despite Fatawu being in space. Ricky's position has an impact yes but I think it's also down to Doyles injury leaving us without a left footer in our build up play. It's all on right feet and therefore is more natural, safer and quicker to play to the left.
  21. I think he'd thrive in Enzos system too
  22. Ironically, I see a world where Barnes returns when Newcastle look for the next level of players and choose to keep Gordan over Barnes. Youri can very much stay away though
  23. Utterly ridiculous decision. Eustace was doing a brilliant job.
  24. Fair, but it's a big if on his fitness being good enough to immediately make an impact during afcon.
  25. What was the point in signing Cannon before January?
