Unexpected away wins roll call
Super Shinji replied to Paninistickers's topic in Leicester City Forum
Bit of an obvious one but West Brom away to start the great escape. Thought we’d get nothing from that but being right behind the goal to see Vards rob the ball on the halfway line and smash in a last minute winner…… -
Andddddd…..he brings Thomas on 🤦♂️

And he was looking the other way…

I’m sure he does have some fans, but I’d be really interested to see the sales figures for this in 12 month’s time

Not offside
-
‘ A player in an offside position receiving the ball from an opponent who deliberately plays the ball, including by deliberate handball, is not considered to have gained an advantage, unless it was a deliberate save by any opponent. A ‘save’ is when a player stops, or attempts to stop, a ball which is going into or very close to the goal with any part of the body except the hands/arms (unless the goalkeeper within the penalty area).’ therefore, not offside
-
Yes he was in an offside position but I don’t understand how it’s offside if the defender deliberately plays the ball and it deflects off him.

Crystal Palace Away- Saturday 1st April 15:00 KO

Still 200 left for members at the moment. Already got mine last week but wanted to get one for my daughter for her first away game. Timed to perfection to get number 1 in the queue this morning as had to move my seat (you can’t buy an under 18 ticket on its own). Turns out I could have saved myself the stress! -
Would be nice to see someone actually run at a defender rather than trying to score the perfect goal every time. Every pass and move so predictable every time, every game. No wonder so many teams have turned us over this season, it doesn’t take a lot of homework to work out how to beat us. Pressure us on the ball and we’ve got nothing.

Actually have more than I thought. Paul Dickov used to stay at the hotel I worked at when he played for us (presumably just after he signed before finding a house). Matt Elliot used to be a regular midweek visitor to another pub I worked in, lovely chap. Queued behind Martin Waghorn in a Walmart in Florida in 2019 (probably the most random one!) Often see Conrad and Nugent at my daughters football training (Conrad plays for said club). Savage asked if he could jump in front of me in the queue at a petrol station in LFE once (about 20 years ago). Met Walshy once through a connected friend (her best mate is Walshy’s other half) and we all ended up on a night out down Brauny Gate. Very random night that one!

Was brilliant in the kop after the Fulham game, 2 blokes squaring up to each other with one shouting ‘who we gonna have then? Warnock???’ Probs do a better job to be fair. Either way, Rodgers will be the one to take us down if we stick with him.

Ready to get shot down here but during my school years (through the 90’s) I supported Man Utd. Most of my mates supported them, Liverpool or Arsenal with a few who supported Leicester. I didn’t get into football until late (probably when I was 9 or 10), mainly due to my parents not having any interest in football at all. It was easy therefore for me to follow Man Utd as they were the ones you could most easily watch and follow on tv/in the papers/radio. I also didn’t move to Leicestershire until I was 10 so didn’t have a close bond with the county from a young age. By my early 20’s I had friends who supported Leicester and started going down to the odd game with them. Then I met my now wife in 2008 (during the League 1 season) and she had a ST so bought myself a half ST for the 2nd half of the season and never looked back. Now a ST holder for 14 years. I like to think I have a reasonable excuse for changing allegiance! 🙃
