Coldest you’ve ever been at a game
Double Decker replied to Nolucklcfc's topic in Leicester City Forum
Bolton away in the early 90's. Hammered it down. Everyone was throwing potato pies about to keep warm. I headed the ball back onto the pitch when the ball went over the bar. The crowd sang sign him on! Loved it......but cold! -

One of my favourites that. I remember climbing up the fence so quickly when it hit the net. -
Completely agree. Seems weird to say it, but staying up means everything. That run was amazing.

On the Bentley for it. Unreal. -
Filbert Street or the King Power Stadium

Not even close. Filbert Street. Standing on a box in the family enclosure, supporters club corner, then progress to the kop. Finished off on the Bentley. Wish my boy could live those moments. -
You are right. That was an early one for me, the keeper got an absolute pasting about the syrup. Seeing the old grounds makes you realise we were lucky to have them. I know times change, but id do anything to go back to that.

Such a good player. Obviously on the ball he showed class, control, strength and skill. He's going to be a real asset. But, I loved the other side of his game, work rate, bite in the tackle and outstanding tackling techniques. Bravo young man. Player of the season in the making. -

Once we settled down and Cooper got into them at half time, we were superb. His interview was encouraging, as was the will to do everything they could to get a point (or more). Some encouraging signs from attacking players too. Great atmosphere. -
The negativity in response to this info from the club is ridiculous. I agree, calling it a bowl is awful, but come on, they are only saying we've got a few different food options and going through a few routines.

Looks like a machine. Doesn't mind going to ground, covers well and recovery work is good.

Fools and horses.....nice touch.

£35 for shorts just doesn't feel right.

Absolutely bang on. Get behind the man and the club. He seems like a decent bloke, with the right ideas and the passion to be part of something. -

Ripping up the mercury, making bags of it for away games for hours was a regular in the 90's. Love to see 'rip up' back. -
Pleased we are up though!

When we score in the first game and, can't celebrate properly untill 'check complete', you'll remember how VAR spoils it for fans. Such a shame, the instant euphoria of the ball hitting the net (or maybe creeping over the line) is gone.

The most disappointing element is the lack urgency and will to win. I'm not against Enzo's way, I can see the plan, but it has to be combined with intensity, determination and bite. It looks like we are trying to be too clever at times though, intentionally we had Abdul marking their wingback? Why doesn't your full back mark, freeing Abdul up. Then when in possession our wide players just stand high and wide. I get that it's designed to spread the opposition, but they had us tied up numberswise. Plus, from these starting positions, which are ok, they didn't move or making any runs. It must be the instructions? The level of the league is so poor, people say it's hard to get out of, it's not if you any good. -
Went to O'Neil's. Decent turnout. Went nuts on the second goal. Guinness flowing.....

Anywhere in town going to have a few in to watch the game today?
-
Agreed. Relax.

Wise words my friend. Nice balance.

I was impressed with his movements. He was regularly running in behind. He showed strength on his second goal. Both really good finishes, he tucked them away in the warm up well too. Great start.

Yes, great spot. I thought the other wing back/full back was impressive too. He was quick, strong and busy. Stephy had a lot of ball and ran at him often, but rarely beat him and was forced back. It was a great battle, with both players playing really well.
