  1. The negativity in response to this info from the club is ridiculous. I agree, calling it a bowl is awful, but come on, they are only saying we've got a few different food options and going through a few routines.
  2. Looks like a machine. Doesn't mind going to ground, covers well and recovery work is good.
  3. Fools and horses.....nice touch.
  4. £35 for shorts just doesn't feel right.
  5. Absolutely bang on. Get behind the man and the club. He seems like a decent bloke, with the right ideas and the passion to be part of something.
  6. Absolutely spot on. Nicely done.
  7. Ripping up the mercury, making bags of it for away games for hours was a regular in the 90's. Love to see 'rip up' back.
  8. Pleased we are up though!
  9. When we score in the first game and, can't celebrate properly untill 'check complete', you'll remember how VAR spoils it for fans. Such a shame, the instant euphoria of the ball hitting the net (or maybe creeping over the line) is gone.
  10. Centre back with pace. Absolutely imperative.
  11. The most disappointing element is the lack urgency and will to win. I'm not against Enzo's way, I can see the plan, but it has to be combined with intensity, determination and bite. It looks like we are trying to be too clever at times though, intentionally we had Abdul marking their wingback? Why doesn't your full back mark, freeing Abdul up. Then when in possession our wide players just stand high and wide. I get that it's designed to spread the opposition, but they had us tied up numberswise. Plus, from these starting positions, which are ok, they didn't move or making any runs. It must be the instructions? The level of the league is so poor, people say it's hard to get out of, it's not if you any good.
  12. Went to O'Neil's. Decent turnout. Went nuts on the second goal. Guinness flowing.....
  13. Anywhere in town going to have a few in to watch the game today?
  14. Wise words my friend. Nice balance.
  15. I was impressed with his movements. He was regularly running in behind. He showed strength on his second goal. Both really good finishes, he tucked them away in the warm up well too. Great start.
  16. Yes, great spot. I thought the other wing back/full back was impressive too. He was quick, strong and busy. Stephy had a lot of ball and ran at him often, but rarely beat him and was forced back. It was a great battle, with both players playing really well.
  17. Classy, experienced work from Winksy after the first goal. He just managed to calm a riot down in the Tilton End. Is there anything he can't do?
  18. A number of people booing them off at half time is laughable. Unless they were booing the ref, which seems pathetic.
  19. If you're talking Daka, he was very lively. Off the ball movement was excellent. As others have said, their high line helped. Loved seeing players spinning in behind though. So important to stretch them and create space. Seemed like the 8's broke well behind when PD came short. Very impressive.
  20. Agreed, on the lack of options and players creating angles when we have the ball at hand back. Winks is definitely the exception, often this causes him to have take the ball in such tight areas. I'd like to see the wide players offering more, either shorter and to feet or challenging in behind. Our build up needs to have one touch play to open up the spaces and break the lines, otherwise the defence just slides across. All of the above is starting to happen, it's new, hopefully we will continue to improve in time. However, I am impressed with the plan and the approach. We will win the league I am sure, but will we master the system in time to play against strong opposition every week?
  21. Can't fault the side. Cannon off the bench. Good balance at the back. Love Nacho to look lively and up for it.
  22. I agree with you. The turn around in opinion of the manager is unbelievable, even by today's standards. Honestly, come on get a bit of balance.
  23. Agreed, the movement short from our strikers seems too short. I don't see our 8's busting the backline in those instances to exploit the space. I still want to see wingers going on the outside more often. Passing from the byline area will always create goals. Finally attacking quickly, 1 touch when we can. Most chances are created with a first time pass (this is an eye test observation, not based on stats!)
  24. They prevented us passing into HW and RP from the back which completely threw us. I was surprised KDH and CC didn't show more to create the outlet. That was the issue at the start of each half. Also, I don't understand why players run into the channel behind full backs when our wingers are 1v1 all the time, it cuts off going on the outside. However, I am absolutely loving Enzo and what is happening at the club. We will canter to the league, playing a new style of play, importantly getting better at it so it works against good teams.
