  1. *bad Spurs didn't really offer much at all until Son came on, it was a lesson by both teams in how not to defend.
  2. That’s quite a specific list you’ve got there. Was surprised to see Joanna Lumley in it but fair enough.
  3. Disgusting. So disrespectful to her majesty.
  4. If there’s one thing that will turn our passive and passionless fan base a bit toxic, it will be losing at home to Forest.
  5. There are Premier League games on today, how would it in any way be disrespectful to sack him today?
  6. Nonsense. It’s one thing being completely down about our situation but let’s not get daft, we’re a much much better project than Brentford. Us being bottom 7 games in doesn’t change that, any decent manager would fancy getting us out of this position with our players.
  7. I'd have to go for Claridge's shin but surprised no one has opted for Knockaert away at Forest yet. As a script for Leicester fans, it's about as good as it gets. Last game of the season, away to Forest where we never ever seem to get a result, both hunting that last play off spot, winner takes all. Something about the tension of the day being against Forest and moving in and out of the play off spots throughout the game, to win it with a last minute winner was unreal. Stunning scenes in the away end. Shame we had the complete opposite emotion a few weeks later.
  8. Imagine by some miracle we pick up 3 points from these two games and don’t sack him. We’ll have to give him more time and more importantly the international break, but we all know we’re still ****ed and we need to find a good manager - this time is absolutely crucial. Our fixtures after Spurs are great and a dream start for a new manager bounce. I’m staggered we didn’t do it after that Brighton game.
  9. Lol Brighton are far too smart for that.
  10. And this is exactly the problem. We will always think like 'little old Leicester' despite the fact our owners are some of the most ambitious going and Rodgers is paid more than most managers in the league, a section of our fans are programmed to lower expectations because we used to be shit. Open your eyes to what we're actually watching, this man is completely wasting a talented bunch of players that we've built up over years of running the club well. It's not a coincidence that the top clubs have consistently poached our players in the last 5 years, we can't think like underdogs if we want to progress.
  11. It’s a huge concern to me that we all know this needs to happen, but there’s a very real possibility we’ll beat Villa and then get spanked in the following game. Then in 2 weeks we’re in exactly the same spot and haven’t done anything about it. Every single week that goes by we lose ground and have a much harder job convincing managers we aren’t getting relegated.
  12. People are so weird with Ward. Obviously he's not had the best start, but the way people were slating him from the crowd yesterday was just odd and completely over the top. Only one person is causing issues with our team right now and even normally brilliant players are playing badly so maybe just calm down.
  13. Got to admit I really dislike the way people obsess over Man City, I have a hard time accepting they should get any credit for their success. It was inevitable from the day they were taken over, the same way it’s inevitable Newcastle will win the league. I’m certainly not looking forward to the days where those two completely dominate and clubs like ours are left to struggle. Yes you need money to compete in football, and it’s been that way for decades but there’s something so soulless about it, like they’ve literally purchased the trophies. It really winds me up when they say things like “Haaland is the signing of the summer” Well, no shit, he’s the best striker in the world turning up at the richest club in the world. If he turned up at Aston Villa maybe it would be worth that title.
  14. It's definitely great entertainment. Like you've said, I'm pleasantly surprised by how invested they seem to be and how respectful to the community they are, because it clearly started as a bit of an opportunity for good tv considering they were filming it before they had a bid accepted. I do wonder how long they will be in it for though, they will almost certainly hit a ceiling quite soon. The belief they can actually make it to the Premier League just because it isn't a closed club like in US sports seems slightly delusional, but hey Americans are known for their positivity.
  15. Got to be honest I have stopped paying too much attention to his post match interviews recently, but there was definitely something about this one that felt like the end.
  16. Not all managers. I think this is something Pearson was great at, always players when it was going well and him (or the refs) when it was going badly.
  17. Say what you want about not signing anyone, he’s getting **** all out of a solid mid table squad. We’re rock bottom and are only getting worse.
  18. Horrific tonight
  19. Absolutely embarrassing people are trying to blame Ward for that. Why has he become the scapegoat? That was due to a huge gap in the defence and nothing more.
  20. Delete this thread. We’re gonna concede more than Forest the way we’re playing.
  21. I’ve seen a crazy amount of people suggesting Cambiasso in recent weeks. By crazy I mean more than 1. What on earth is it about him that people think would translate to success? He was here for one season and wanted to leave as soon as he could.
  22. We’ll it’s a bit of both, the same reason someone like Everton would still be able to get him despite having a shocking squad. I definitely believe we’re still *just* sitting in a group of clubs bigger than Brighton.
  23. I would usually agree with this and I do think our fans could show a bit more class at times, but I really think we have every right to be angry here. We've watched some absolute car crash football over the last couple of years, the way we've capitulated under Rodgers has had to be seen to be believed at times (I still can't fathom how that Spurs home game happened) It really feels like we're watching our club slowly decline for completely pointless reasons and we have no control over it. It's so frustrating to watch us make the same mistakes and hear the same excuses from Brendan every single week. Then immediately after, tune in for Match of the day to see every other ****ing team in this league playing with more intensity and effort than us. When you add all that to the day to day cost of living problems people are facing at the moment - A football ground used to be an escape from all that, now more than ever it feels like our club is just another place desperate to squeeze every penny out of us (Just paid £47.50 for a Forest ticket btw, maybe i'll have a £5.80 pint with that) Then you can add this Fofana nonsense into the mix, a guy earning that kind of money to just say they don't fancy playing is pretty hard to take for your average football fan and definitely pushes them further away from us. You can be grateful for what we have achieved but at the same time realise these are extremely well paid people, who really don't have much loyalty to us or the club, they are always thinking about their next move.
  24. I don’t like the “For this fixture” bit. I think they’ll be back for big fixtures potentially.
  25. I have to admit there was a period where I really disliked him and thought he was done, I really didn't mind us cashing in to be honest. It felt like where players like Mount and Grealish were getting better he had stalled and let his ego get the better of him. Last season he really proved me wrong, you can tell he was hurt by missing out on the England squad. I think we're seeing his drive and discipline finally match his talent now and if we can keep him here for a bit longer we'll be extremely lucky to have him.
