Chelsea in for Mike Maignan as well - so if that deal happens, looking like Man Utd who've scouted him could be frontrunners.
-
We've had incredible to very good experiences with the two Italian coaches we've had. It's also been reported that Davide was key to his father's tactics. Couple of good articles here, feels like he could be similar to Maresca in his dedication and preparation but more flexible in playing style: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/articles/c722wppjdxqo https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/4-rules-davide-ancelotti-bares-35215545

Yeah, it's a risk but seems the players he worked with speak highly of him.
-
Wow, they turned down Davide Ancelotti for Martin - guess his interview style worked better for the new American owners. Maybe they also realised that Ancelotti comes with Balague as his spokesperson, and they thought nah, not dealing with his BS. Sounds like the club was being used to hurry Rangers along.

Verbruggen at Brighton, think we can avoid that one!
-
Blame both. What I still don’t get is why the club didn’t try to get a goalkeeper in the January transfer window having seen Ward and wasn’t good enough. Appreciate we had a very good of results ahead of the window but the club stunk the place out in January. If we’d paid for a quality GK what we spent on other players, we stay up. But then we even tried to get another attacking player in Harrison, shows Rodgers had lost the plot.

Just seen he was statistically the second worst goalkeeper in the PL this season based on expected goals conceded having just played a couple of games. #impact
-
His agent is saying he wants a more ambitious challenge so is looking to leave the club. 😢
-
Don’t know much about him but part of Red Bull and worked under Guardiola as well:
-
Sure you’d said that you’d heard that it’s going to be Russell Martin on one of your shows. Apologies if not but confident you had.
-
One ITK said it wasn’t done, it’s looking promising it’s not Martin: @LoxmDoes this mean your source is Geoff Peters who then went on the record saying he expected RM to be appointed?

Suggestion here that the punishment would apply next season, and minimum 12 points as the overspend is £17m (and mitigation only applies if overspend is below £15m) plus potential further punishment for aggravation - this would be very damaging: https://inews.co.uk/sport/football/leicester-minimum-point-deduction-guilty-psr-3720796 It's behind a paywall so can't share the full copy. Feels like having made the EPL look foolish for 22/23, they want to hammer us this time. Just added: But Stefan Borson says this is incorrect as we were a PL team for 2 of the 3 seasons, and as PL have jurisdiction, they’d apply their rules:
-
What an arse, digging out our fans when he could just say good job Enzo. I’m an Enzo fan but this is pathetic. Chelsea have spent a billion - just because their team is younger, doesn’t give them a free pass for higher expectations.
-
Exactly, the ceiling on getting the right manager is huge and all the more critical at this club when there is DoF who doesn't have a strategy.
-
Yeah, the logic on scrimping on manager fees to help with PSR is very off. Given how the club relies so much on the manager, you'd have thought a bigger investment there makes more sense than spunking £20m on the likes of Skipp, or giving Vestergaard a new contract. Clear example is Corberan who the club were very interested in but decided to go for a manager not in contract and look how that worked out.
-
For anyone hoping Rangers are looking to appoint Martin so he doesn't come here, Balague has just published suggesting that Davide Ancelotti appears to be the frontrunner but Rangers need to get a move on to appoint him as he has other options. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cvgv4xvqe00o

As others have stated, has to be his departure. Find it difficult to laugh at his blunders as he is the personification of our decline - was key in our 22/23 relegation and played a significant role in this one too. If he had even just been half-decent, we'd have stayed up a couple of years ago.
-
Nope, he doesn't! They've got a big summer ahead.
-
This would be the type of DoF we should have. Think we were linked with him a few years ago when Walsh left.
-
The way Cooper treated Ricardo is right up there in his biggest mistakes. Our true captain.
-
Stock is too high now, think he renewed his contact with Strasbourg as well.
-
Likely not true as reported Rangers are choosing between Gerrard and Davide Ancelotti
-
They’re inconsistent - more wrong than right but did call Vesty turning down a move to Fulham first.
