It was a much bigger portion of the fan base than you would imagine would gladly chant about killing someone. There has been chants in the past, but this very clearly crossed a line which hasn’t been done before.

I was probably 2/3 of the way up in block G and could clearly hear it. I think it was only one person. In all likelihood probably someone who spends their weekends painting roundabouts, but can’t show how patriotic he is by being quiet for 1 minute.

They’re probably fortunate it’s international break next weekend, could have seen this inciting a bigger reaction next week if we had a game. As it is, things may cool off slightly.

You could quite easily interpret ‘sell the club and F off home’ to be racist. I would imagine that is what they refer to given the ‘home’ in the statement.

@jesussuperstar why don’t you give us some of your thoughts in this thread rather than laugh emojis to other posts? I guess from your reactions here you were/are one of the people who thinks that chanting was acceptable.

He played well yesterday. He’s the best striker for us at the current moment (youth aside). He’s always going to struggle as a lone striker, but he may be better with Bobby as a 10.

Did you challenge him on it?

That new Rudkin chant needs to stop, and sharpish. I can’t stand the guy, but that is a shameful new low for our fanbase.

It was hard to witness from the Kop, must have been traumatic for those nearby, especially any kids. Hoping for good news.
