He just looks uncomfortable in and out of possession. No confidence and limited ability isn’t a good combination. Whoever signed off on his recent deal ought to be embarrassed. His off field antics others have alluded to already - the less said about the the better.

Exactly this. They’ll have the patience to try and wait out and play through a tricky spell which is just not in our DNA. Really excellent bowling so far, but only one wicket to show for it. Can see Smith settling into it as the ball gets a bit older.

Intention and execution are two very different things. If the appointments are people who will be afraid to unsettle things and make tough decisions then nothing changes. I think the whole thing will give the perception of change, but the reality will be different.
