Our fans couldn't get behind our manager when we were top of the Championship, had most wins, scored most goals, conceded fewest goals, had best goal difference etc etc. Not sure whats going to change now.

A whole £27 has been matched at the betfair exchange on this market, which shows me that the bookies aren't even bother the lay bets to balance their books. Suggests to me that noone knows anything really.
-
It’s going to be Cooper.
-
Have you seen the teams he scored those goals against?
-
-
They are allowed to feel aggrieved surely?
-
Want Frank in that relegation battle next season.
-
Most people still think he was the worst defender the season we got relegated.
-
I think this is completely fair enough. The way chelsea go about situations like this is awful. They hit the socials hard early on and let the media do their job. Heads turn much easier this way.

If you ever needed proof that Balague is a complete journalistic fraud, then this is gold: Enzo 'soldiered' on !? With one of the strongest teams in the division with salaries eclipsing anything else around him, with top drawer players (Coady, Souttar) he refused to play. @Ric Flair, when you met him did he smell of as much sh1t as he talks?
-
Actually glad the club are sounding a little salty. Yes, we are a stepping stone but i don't think many expected him to court this so quickly. We took a huge risk in signing him. I suppose the reward is promotion but it still feels something is missing when you consider the risk. I think he will do well, but looking forward to beating Chelsea 2-0 at the KP with 25% possession.
-
Cos we didn't play him enough, although he didn't deserve to get picked as much as he did. So Chelsea took him back, and played him less. Class act.
-
I want to see us launching long throws to Souttar in the box, Corberan style!

As far as i can tell, there is no hype at all. More a resignation that its the sort of appointment we are likely to make. I'm still very unsure and would hope the club think about it very carefully. Brighton fans cracking me up, saying that rumours of Cooper are making them fall in love with Potter again.

I still can't get my head around it, but then I suppose i enjoyed more Enzo games than I disliked. Our drop in form was a horrible period, but I all the top teams in the Championship suffered similar fate over around that time. Liverpool had a horrible start to the 2022 season - it happens. What matters is how you come out the other side, which we did better than anyone else. There was a culture of waiting for him to mess up, both on the pitch and in his interviews. Every team has period of bad form, and we were banding around phrases like they were quick fixes (plan b's, just chuck 2 up top, play overlapping fullbacks) - all are valid, but not necessarily solutions. As soon as it wasn't always working for us, everything else all of a sudden became the 'right answer'. When it started working again, it was the players all of a sudden and the manager didn't deserve credit. Thing that really bugs me though - is the people saying 'i don't care how we win the league - just go and do it'. Then those people whinge about everything and anything!
-
For me it all hinges on how he would approach the role and how he want to set up, and our vision etc, and we won't hear any of that until an appointment is made. He played some honking stuff at Forest, especially this season. However, you have to appreciate that he would be coming into a very different setup here. If he impresses our board then so be it, but i don't think he should be getting the job based on his PL experience.

People talk about West Ham like they have the finances of Coventry. Including the sale of Rice, they were one of the top Net Spenders in the PL. 14th, and the relegation form they ended up in this season (9 points from last 10 game, conceding 25 goals) were absolute failures from Moyes. This isn't a chap who will just turn up and everything is going to be ok. I look at those final 2 season where he had far better players than we do and finances we can only dream of right now, and he largely ballsed it up. I get the Euro Conference win (although, just look at the teams they played in the knockout stages - they hardy played PSV or Roma), but his league form is a huge red flag for me.
-
How do you plan on solving that?
-
It bothers me people don't see this. There is quite a lot of excitement that Riccy is just going to become the best fullback again in the PL and the inverted role was somehow holding him back.
-
Why would anyone care? As Finnegan said it's more likely that personnel have been on leave. Also, with Chelsea the noise hits socials before any contact is actually made. Just makes everything seem its taken longer than it actually has.
-
To be fair, there were stories of some quite unsavoury behaviour towards him and i don't think its hard to imagine how difficult the transition would have been for someone who just turned 20. Mid season, in a team where the manager was actively seeking the sack. Also in a team were the majority seemed oblivious to the potential of relegation. Players like Madders and Barnes knew they would be able to move on somewhere. For Victor, this would have been his first chance. I look at this as one of those 'what will be will be' situations. I liked him as a player and couldn't give a crap of those fans that were annoyed when he asked for a bit more support at the Fulham game - he was young and experienced & made a mistake, and you've got to give kids the chance to learn. There is a good player there and i would like to see us bring kids in and help them grow and get good fees for them later. But if too much has happened then both parties need to work something out - i just don't trust the Italians to help in that regard! I still think that cross to Castagne in the Wolves game pretty much kept us in the fight to stay up when our start like Madders were completely ineffectual. He had some good moments.

Genius.
-
Good. And unless Cooper has spent the last 6 months at the University of Pep, shaved his head and grown a solid stubble then i imagine it wont be him either.
-
I don't think there will be any issues around him being able to setup how he wants - he will find the players and those he focuses will all buy in. The problem will be all the other top earning players who won't get a look in. And then there is rest of the basketcase club that will see clashes of egos and personalities. Its not going to be easy.
-
He is meticulous, will carry on doing his long days and will learn everything about everyone so they will love him. He has all preseason and it’s a team of internationals and players who have played in many setups. Their shiniest superstar has already played under him at city. It’s not going to take them long to adapt.
