  1. Nacho deserves to be nowhere near the staring 11.
  2. Everyones form has gone to pot. None of it makes sense anymore.
  3. Last game so people book early. We lumped on as soon as available to us but there were definitely less seats available that usual.
  4. Well, not paying is one thing (the amount of business i work with that delay payment does my head in), but not accounting for would be fraudulent. I would presume everything they owe is on the books, otherwise they would be in the real sh1t.
  5. Log term thats great news for Southampton. Slightly worrying appointment for Brighton
  6. I feel inclines to continually point this out. It really wasn't.
  7. And then whine that he didn't pick the strongest 11. Start the team that currently gets us results Mads Doyle Faes Vesty Riccy Winks Ndidi KDH Mava Abdul Daka Daka wont score, but will create opportunities for the wingers. Bring Vardy and Praet on at 60. That teams wins this game.
  8. I might have misread you. Are you saying that Klopp has had next to no budget?
  9. Have you not leant about this sort of posting.
  10. Imagine this place if Hamza started.
  11. There will be more dropped points from each team. Embrace it.
  12. Business end of the Championship is rough as old bollocks. Top 3 teams who have been scoring for fun all season failed to score at all. Ipswich looked lame in that 2nd half, Leeds had one shot on target. It's not just us feeling it. All to play for lads.
  13. Coady yes (but Jannick is the better player) - Souttar is Championship quality, so nothing to shout home about. Vardy way past his best (good in moments but cant be relied upon). Kels has been a failure for 2 years, Daka a failure full stop and Cannon's legacy is a few goals for Preston but held back with Injury issues. These 4 are not a success for us. Terrible, terrible signing for us. Achieved nothing at any level and massive physicality issues. Only claim to fame is some sort of love interest with Torino. Guy cannot wait to leave this club. Unproven at any level, and don't see him making any impact at many of the top half Championship teams. JJ very inconsistent (but can be good). Doyle (a kid who's highest level before us was Cov) can't defend, although in spells is a good passer. Teams target Doyle for a reason. I would if I was the opposition manager. Because our silly club didn't know how to offload Goalkeepers. VK was hardly top drawer for us last year, especially after a fine bullying session from our resident knobheads. Mcateer started well, but started to look hopeless. Can't see him getting in many 1st teams at this level. Albrighton's legs have gone and couldn't make it into the WBA team last year. Nelson a fine prospect but not at the right level yet to be considered as part of the greatest squad at this level. Absolutely not. Our first choice 11 is good (if a little raw in places), but rotation options are hopeless. Names you didn't mention: Hermansen is the best keeper in the division (inho). Vesty great baller - but slow as a tractor. Feas is a bomb scare but has been decent most season. Ricardo is the best player in the division. By quite a long way. Winks is great but not a progressive player. Ndidi had been hopeless for 2 seasons, had a half season renaissance but is now clearly in the exit lounge winding that contract down. KDH - fab when on it, but hopelessly one footed and easy to contain is you flood the midfield. Not good enough technically.
  14. I don't understand why you think the squad is anything special. We have some decent players in there, but depend on a few to be on it for us to perform. Midfield is weak, especially when you consider there is a formula to playing KDH and Ndidi has one foot out of the door. Little rotation in key positions, a 37 year old striker, 2 alternatives that fail and a new recruit thats always injured. The squad is a mishmash of potential stars, yesterdays relegation failures, and overpaid hanger ons who can't wait to leave to get their next signing on fee.
  15. People haven't looked at other Championship seasons. Something i've been banging on about most of the year (why dont people ever listen to me ). Teams get promoted yet still drop a lot of points. Last season Sheff Utd lost 11 and Burnley drew 14. Doesn't make our level since January right, but there has been far to much 'our squad is elite' and 'Dave from accounts could get this bunch promoted'. All the HMS piss the league stuff totally skewed everyones thinking. Remember all the predictions that we would go the season unbeaten, then break the points record. This is one of the most expensive squads thats played in the Championship, but it's nowhere near the best. Too many cast offs from the relegation season who are winding contracts down, a thin midfield and a dependency on a 37 year old striker. But still people comment that this is by far the best there is, even though they saw the absolute shambles they dished up last year. Got to get this over the line, get rid of the deadwood and let the club work out how it wants to deal with the next problem.
  16. Sacked their manager though.
  17. I don't have much hope we can 'react' away from home right now. The only hope is that Plymouth won't be clinical and have one of their 2 shots be an out of the box banger. This will be very much like the Millwall game, just hopefully with a few more home fans.
  18. Tonnes of places show this, such as here https://thefishy.co.uk/formtable.php?table=2&tab=tab-last10 10 game form not pretty.
  19. Its currently stressful. There is a lot at stake. I think you can see the stress in the players. But it's not just with our team. But its nothing like last season. Its been a strange season to be a fan. The expectations have shifted throughout the season and our performances have regressed. However, i firmly believe that a lot of our problems right now stem from not being able to offload players we needed to get out of the door. These are Ndidi, Praet, Nacho, Daka. Not being able to recruit at all in January has compounded this. We needed to get the players with the wrong mentality out of the door. Ndidi had his mini renaissance, but since coming back from injury he has not been committed. But back to shifting expectations, the season has moved like this: Following relegation, and a batsh1t crazy preseason, we expected a poor start. I thought playoffs was a reasonable target The start exceeded all expectations. Groans started appearing that we weren't hammering teams every week, even though our Goal difference was on another level to everyone else. We break some sort of 'start of season' record (dont care). Goal difference on another level still. HMS piss the league meme appears. Lose games - pelters arrive Do well again over very difficult xmas period. More groans that we aren't smashing teams Crap January window - lose Cassadei, don't offload any hangers on and no reinforcements. KDH rumours. Probably best 1st half i've seen against Sheff Weds. Great win against Bournemouth Downturn and midtable form. Injuries to key players. Lose mammoth lead. FFP / PSR rumours Terrible accounts released. Awful performances. Enzo out. 2 good home wins but away from gone to pot. Can't keep a clean sheet. But still top of the league with everything to play for.

    Daka

Yes. But you can't ignore he had a complete stinker again Bristol.
  21. On the whole hes had an excellent season. Had good games in the last few home games. He has played a tonne of football this season.
  22. Its not - its an inconvenient truth. First thing i noticed about Nacho yesterday when he came on was how little he pressed the defence and keeper. Daka does stretch defences which creates space elsewhere. Just a shame the shooting is pony. I'd be starting Daka against Plymouth but not holding ,uch hope he scores.
  23. Its an FFP/PSR issue. If you sell at an amortised loss you incur that loss on your accounts in the financial year you make the sale.
  24. Yet its a team 2nd in the 6 and 10 form guide and one that also beat Ipswich a few days later. All the evidence suggests they aren't turning up to games and rolling over. It was just one of those (currently rare) days where the tactics did their job.
