  1. You have followed football before right? 2 games 4 months apart are hardly comparable. Ipswich were soundly beaten by WBA a few weeks back. I like Ipswich though. Hope they go up.
  2. Good on them. I've seen far worse play against us this season. Hope they go on a little run.
  3. Was out - listened on Radio and they said he had been unusually poor. Will reserve judgement till ive watched it properly.
  4. We played quick set pieces pretty effectively against Watford. The vast majority of our corners are taken long, but everyone mixes it up.
  5. This is what you sign up to when you take development talent on loan. He could click 2nd half of the season.
  6. Because we are in the Wednesday post match thread, where Enzo is being criticised about not being flexible enough?
  7. I mean, Wout if frikin invincible. This is unbelievable news.
  8. Why would you do it when you are 1-0 up. Madness.
  9. ffs - sure this just means 'we need to make better decisions'. Taking it too literally.
  10. He's developing and not ready yet. He might still go on and have an excellent career.
  11. Well, Praet proved his consistency with his injury. Whatever way you spin it, there is hardly a counter argument that Praet should have Cassadei doing up his boots. Both aren't good enough, simple.
  12. Ideal was the wrong word. I suppose i mean that even though we went through this wonderful little renaissance with him i think that its probably done in my mind.
  13. I no longer think Ndidi is ideal either and over performed earlier in the season. Think we need someone much more creative in the role that Casadei could understudy.
  14. Sound like one of the dads needs to go around collecting all the phones before the match, saying that now is 'family time without devices'. Simple. Funny, few seasons back had the displeasure of going to West Ham v Man United (before the whole family got into going the KP for every home match, was Ronaldo's first match). 2 guys next to me played on their handheld steam consoles for the whole match, apart from a brief break to get a disgusting sausage dinner. 2 blokes in front just shouted racist abuse at Antonio all game. About 40% streamed out of the stadium left before Noble missed a penalty. Earlier this year went to see We Will Rock You, on a night where Brian May made a surprise appearance. When it happened, everyone in front and around us whipped their phones out and we could barely see him as they were all filming about their heads. On the way out someone was watching it back on their phone and said they actually missed it at the time. These problems are everywhere sadly.
  15. ffs. What has Praet done to even warrant any sort of praise. Guy has been woeful for years (pops up every now and again). He is supposed to be at the pinnacle of his career. What's he actually done? Even though he's been really poor, Casadei has still delivered more that Praet this season. I think this is the danger with signing development players on loan. I now think Casadei is a year away from being ready for our level in our system.
  16. He has to rotate! Between 25th Nov and 1st Jan we have 10 games! The irony is that most people are saying he should be changing it around more by changing the formation. Rotation is going to catch our everyone - not just us. It catches the absolute best teams out. But we can't expect to just knacker the best 11, and for that not to have any consequences. Regarding 'he thought its a easy 3 points just turn up' , Enzo has always been level headed about this. He has always said there will be dropped points and has made previous comments about the Championship not being playstation. I don't think for one minute he turned up expecting to just win with anything. As for buying proven goal scorers, we've done stage 1 of the rebuild. Do you think Enzo got everything he wanted? Most on here were pleading to keep Nacho (btw, pleads for that were more nauseous that HMS piss the league), because they said he would be scoring for fun. Priority for Jan is to address those running contracts down if we can, although i cant see it happening. If someone wants Ndidi, Nacho or Praet (ha ha, as if!), then let them go. I expect Daka and Souttar to go as else, and fully expect reinforcements that will get used, rather than bench warmers. Don't disagree about Vards. He still has something to offer, but seems it happens more when hes used for impact.
  17. Everyone’s favourite Leeds dropped points to the 2nd worst team in the division last week, and these guys at home earlier in the season. its these type of results this pi55 hole of a division throws at you.
  18. How is this even comparable to last season? From the off i knew there were serious, serious issues last season, and we were leaking goals at stupid rates with a spine of a defence that contained sick note and Amartey, with a Manager openly taking the pi55 out of the club. We were rock bottom almost immediately. Its not nonchalant to point out we are top and have only conceded 11 goals. However, i completely agree we've looked off it for the last 5 or so games (though i still maintain we played well against Middlesborough and 2nd half Watford). There are clearly issues and i hope that team was back in first thing today to debrief on why. The goals largely drying up has to be seen as a huge concern / priority. I think claims that we've been 5hite all season and just got lucky are complete nonsense.
  19. aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!
  20. Others (Brighton, Villa) have done well in possession based systems. Villa took a few windows to get there. Don't just look at Burnley and don't just look at Man City.
  21. 0-0 i reckon. Think we will both cancel each other out.
  22. These guys dont grow on trees, and what evern money we spend we have to consider whether we spend championship money on someone who might not step up, of lower PL money with all the risks that brings in. But i agere, creativity and someone who can deal well with set pieces is sadly missing.
  23. I swear people want him thrown on just so they can whinge about how shit he is as well. I feel they've been pretty transparent about the situation and that he wasn't bought for immediate impact. Being fit and being ready are 2 different things, especially when you haven't had any established place in the team. This is definitely a scenario where i will trust the manager.
  24. I think he's done pretty well to be honest, and there are clearly areas he should improve. He works very hard and unlike Barnes puts a defensive shift in as well. Against Watford he was taking on the defender quite a lot and should have had an assist after a lovely run and cross that Vardy skied. When you consider everything, he's not the problem.
  25. Seriously?!?!?!?! Assuming we get promoted we have 2 windows, young talent like Fatawu developing, Alves and Braybrooke in the mix, and opportunities to get rid of more dead weight. Its going to be tough no matter what way we do it. People are fixated on Burley, but we should do into into with confidence that we can set some solid foundations to survive. No - we want a plan c as well
