Likewise I am away and would be grateful for a stream. Please don't leave me to the mercies of this thread alone.

No, he didn't want to change his position to fit Maresca's system. Absolutely nothing to do with good or not good enough.
-
I'm not sure dogsh1t is very tempting, because that's what his attitude was when he came on against Spurs.
-
Guess he's being used as our second striker option at the moment to come on for Vardy so we can't play him from the start. If we are going to use this system a lot we simply have to get another 9 in. Unless Mavs smashes it.
-
Ah got you, thanks. Still bollocks I'm sure. I never trust any article which states 'bid incoming soon' or the equivalent.
-
Let's be honest it wouldn't surprise anyone if we simply rotate Mavididi and Ayew in the 9 position with Vardy and don't bring any new striker in. On that basis I would take Broja over nobody.

Based on his bio I am inclined to scepticism: However, based on his profile picture I approve this twitter account.

Looking over the last three windows is probably a fairer assessment as Brighton have made some big sales. Over that period they are down -75m (peanuts compared to West Ham for example) and are probably confident they've got a couple of big profit sales next summer from one of the inevitable gems they have unearthed. Wages may become an issue as it did for us. Of course a couple of bad windows and things can change fast.

5 11, it's a no from me.

Fair point. For the record I actually really like Ayew as an option and have no issue with him coming into the squad. I think he will be popular with fans. But I can't get my head around the price. Maybe that's accentuated by the fact we seem totally unable to shift our own players when they've got a year left. I also don't want it to stifle younger player development. A very weird transfer window. If we got in a decent number 9, that Greek dude for example, I'd say it's been pretty good. A 9 and 10 it's been very good. Neither of those and it's been shite imo because we will have used our resources in areas that aren't as critical. With Daka out a 9 is absolutely essentially surely. Hopefully CoolHand is right and there's more cash to burn.

Hoping it's a case of Ayew and Bobby being used when we need some control/ experienced heads depending on game and game situation. Coops has mentioned numerous times he wants different options for different moments in games and different sorts of opposition. Weren't we all crying out for flexibility in a manager? Of course this coping mechanism won't work out for me when we start with Ayew and Bobby in our next game.

Why, it was reported they were appreciative of the clubs pragmatic approach to Maresca, so what has changed since?
-
How tall is he. Asking for @RumbleFox

We still need a striker if Cannon doesn't go on loan.
-
Is he better than Jordan Ayew?
-
I've said before he'll do fine, he's a good pro and I always liked his attitude and his nuisance factor when I've seen him play for Palace. His final ball and finishing is highly questionable though. In fact its been shit whenever I've watched him. All that aside you don't need expertise to see this is an atrocious deal financially given his age.

Tell us the fvcking fee Percy. Tell me it ain't 8million. Please.

Fulham v Leicester - Pre-match thread (August 24th)

Weird I've heard Cooper is resigning at 4pm -
I don't mind Ayew, he's a nuisance. He'd be an okay squad option. But £6m for a nearly 33 year old player with one year left on his contract? More than the initial fee Brighton played for Facundo. That would be foul and abusive.
-
I know nothing about the internal workings of the club, but logic dictates the chief scout looks at a suite of players based on the DoF/managers strategy rather than being responsible for the overarching recruitment strategy itself. Input yes, but should a chief scout really be dictating transfer policy? I may be wrong on that and I appreciate the club may not currently be acting logically either.
-
We don't really know but the implication seems to be PL experience is Cooper's preference. We have definitely been linked with good, young and exciting players from abroad, presumably identified by Glover and his team. For whatever reason we haven't got those signings over the line. Don't think that is on Glover.

Ric Flair Live & Direct on BSLB Podcast

Jordan: you've left you're nothing to do with me any more. Also Jordan: ten minutes of analysis on Maddison, his inner psychological state and the fact he wandered about for a bit of a clap at the end of the game. Otherwise enjoyable as ever, Sam spoke well. -
Massive respect to Mark. No longer at the club but still doing more than Rudkin to try and help offload our tripe.
