  1. Doesn't sound like it's been particularly high octane or sapping for the players at least...
  2. Same. It's very disappointing, not even one major fall out yet and the only truly absurd comment was early on from @weller54 and that's hardly a shock. The overall theme seems to be everyone is very bored except @StriderHiryu because he enjoys suffering for his art and I appreciate him for it.
  3. I doubt we'll face a team that sets up like this against us much if promoted. But hey, I'm relying solely on the posts in this thread to inform me of what's happening, so what do I know?
  4. Why do I get nervous when I read that
  5. Patience, are you out of your mind man?! Do you know where you are?
  6. Quite possibly the worst game of football I've not seen so far. Thread is honking.
  7. Ndidi rocket incoming
  8. Love that the major honour debate has now transgressed beyond kick off. And here I am loving every moment.
  9. So relaxed about this game I've let my wife use the streaming app to watch her team whilst I sit back and enjoy the full, glorious unabridged, never anything but calm and rational, FT match day experience 😎
  10. The most ridiculous thing I read recently on here was that 'not all conspiracies are secret' - despite the fact the very dictionary definition of a conspiracy contains the word SECRET. Strangely it was posted by someone that I suspect has Trump sympathies. Post truth era indeed.
  11. Seen him covering a few championship games. Think he's far better than some of the current dross Sky have covering the Prem
  12. They had McAnuff covering the Palace Brighton game last night. Now, albeit he's played for Palace but I'm hoping they were blooding him to cover more Prem games.
  13. Can you identify the the PC brigade folk that are so outraged by the use of merry Christmas? Because I use the term Christmas frequently to a wide range of people and at work and my employer uses the term Christmas. My employer happens to be one of the most 'woke' charities in the U.K. and has been criticised with some justification in the past for being overly PC in it's use of language. So, is the PC brigade really to blame or are you being a snowflake. See what I did there?
  14. I have just purchased a 4.5kg pork belly from the butcher as I fancy doing Porchetta on Christmas day. There will be two of us on Christmas day. My wife asked what sides we'll be having with it. Porchetta.
  15. Tell me more friend.
  16. We mustn't let the objective, verifiable facts get in the way of our subjective and flawed judgement? Perhaps the facts should help inform our judgement, rather than be ignored when they don't match our opinion.
  17. KDH has been bloody fantastic this half.
  18. Stirring the pot 😂
  19. Thanks Debs, I've seen many online but tried and tested are best. Here's a link to the KFC YouTube video I use He also has the recipe on his website just stick in Wiessman KFC to Google. I've printed it because I use it whenever I want to make KFC at home. I guarantee if you follow it to the letter you'll get the KFC flavour but a far better, crunchier fried chicken. Sourcing buttermilk can be a pain. The white pepper for me is key, definitely the dominant flavour so if you have to sub any of the spice don't sub that! I don't make all those sides because I'm not aiming to be fifty stone for a while.
  20. Did you have either the brisket or the rib out of interest? I have a smoker at home which I use a lot and I'm always interested in trying BBQ places to see what the professionals are doing. The ones I've been to in the U.K. so far have been a bit meh. I am (probably unduly) concerned by the menu stating the Secrets in the Smoke. If they can't use an apostrophe do I trust them with live fire and meat?
  21. Semantics over phrasing. Most people seem obsessed with Cannon puns. That said, he's a player we haven't seen much of, so naturally people are curious and hopeful. That's not really obsession is it? Nacho, whom I have long defended, just hasn't been very good this year, his heart doesn't seem in it and he's likely off. Vardy is reaching the end of an illustrious career, and father time has started to catch up with him. IF Cannon proves himself, on current evidence, he could easily displace both, just my opinion of course. I'd already start Daka over both of them.
  22. Crying into his Tetley's
  23. Problem is if I make another chilli I'll scream. I've made every variety of chilli under the sun. Haven't made tagine for ages, good call. I'll have that recipe for Mongolian chicken please Debs...
  24. Yes! Every now and then I go on a hunt for new easyish recipes but at the moment I'm just recycling the same shit day in day out. I will generally make stuff that will do a couple of nights. The reality is I'm just not organised to batch cook and freeze regularly, I wish I was. I do bake all the bread, naans, brioche buns etc etc we eat so I don't make my life massively easy in that sense as I'm often baking at weekends. Soup for dinner several times a week? I suggest you ghost those muthers asap. Maybe people can start posting links to weeknight recipes...
  25. I don't have kids and it's still a chore planning meals for two people week in week out. The weekend stuff where you've got time to prep and cook something different or fun is what I enjoy. Grinding out the weeknight meals and trying not to have the same thing week in week out is a ball ache.
