The match thread has become a parody of itself and is actually quite amusing at times. One down to Millwall with 80 to play and some of the hysterical comments would suggest we're bottom of the league. Those same people go very, very quiet later in the thread. At this point I'm assuming they're all Forest fans trolling the forum.

I generally use a Meater which measures both the internal and ambient temps and even calculates a rough cooking time. Absolute God send for beef as well and guaranteed you won't overcook it. All of that said I'm usually on the cautious side with chicken but I'm with you on 72, especially if it's been held there for the appropriate time. Personally though I much prefer juicy thigh which requires a higher temperature to break down the collagen etc and is much more forgiving. Juicy breast is harder to achieve. What do you think is better juicy thigh or juicy breast @Jattdogg

I agree entirely, Nacho has not done enough to be nailed on first choice and Vardy is in the twilight of his career. Be an interesting insight into how flexible Maresca is with regards personnel. Unless of course the club have told him they want Daka off the books asap so he doesn't see any point integrating him except where absolutely necessary through injuries.

Someone posted an article by Blackwell saying that this is very unlikely to be Daka's chance of a renaissance under Maresca and that he'll be back down the pecking order once Nacho and Vardy are fit and indeed he's off in January. Hopefully he's wrong but to state that so definitively you do wonder if that's what he's being fed by the club. Could be pure conjecture of course

Pork is the finest of meats. Sausage. Bacon. Pork Mince. Pork Belly. Pork loin. Pork tenderloin. Pork cheek. You can go fatty or lean and it's more forgiving than chicken either way. Works with virtually all herbs and spices. Takes smoke on board beautifully. The most versatile of all meats and reasonably priced. Chicken can fvck right off. Crackling. I mean is there anything better than perfect crackling?

Superb work my friend looks delicious. I've done drums and thighs so far (boneless and bone in/skin on) and wings are my next project. Did you brine or buttermilk the wings? Love sriracha as well, I went through a phase of putting it on everything! Definitely can become an obsession, when fried chicken is good it's just about the best thing going to eat. I've just done various buttermilk and spice/salt marinades so far and some different flour mixes as well like plain mixed with cornflour etc. I've seen some people make a batter rather than a dredge but I think the dredge results are good. For the KFC 11 herbs and spices clone I've found white pepper to be key to recreating the taste, I was being lazy and using black pepper as that's what I had in, but the white pepper makes a huge difference. If you haven't already check out Quan Tran on YouTube. Guys a lunatic but great value and he's got some good fried chicken videos. He is Mr Fried Chicken.

A very simple and damning stat for the last decade or so of our governance is the rise in homelessness by around 75%. Judge a society on how it looks after it's most vulnerable and right now we're a fvcking disgrace.

On the general subject of mash if you're feeling particularly bourgeoisie then a small amount of truffle oil with the butter (and possibly egg) is delicious. What are people's views of potato ricers Vs the traditional mashing implement?

I only watched it on the box but there was definitely a point in the game where we were on the break and then halted and passed back to the defence. Booing was audible and it wasn't West Brom. Comms even mentioned it rather incredulously. In fact they mentioned obliquely a few times that our fan base has some entitled tw@ts in it.
