  1. Totally agree on Doyle. The cross field pass and first time passes down the left- hand touchline are now on, along with the over/underlap. We haven't had these routes open to us for 16games and it's credit to Faes, Justin, Ricardo, Choudhury that they've filled the gap so well. Strongest side now (in absence of Ndidi and Daka) is: Hermansen Ricardo/Justin Faes Vestergaard Doyle Winks Akgun KDH Fatawau Cannon Mavididi Casadei, Choudhury, Vardy, Iheanacho (assuming short injury rules out Afcon), Albrighton, Coady, McAteer will push them but that's January's team for me.
  2. He has, and now gets the chance to do so if Doyle is back fit and Faes can do a job. Neither should make more than 14-15. starts out of remaining 20 games.
  3. Jorginho would suit our squad down to a tee if we go up.
  4. Was great when coming on today
  5. 7 changes for me. Rest plenty of players but get Casadei, Yunus and Cannon in a groove. Continue Doyles return from injury. Stolarczyk Ricardo Coady Nelson Doyle Choudhury Casadei Yunus Albrighton Cannon Wanya McAteer,
  6. I don't like the idea of undermining the AFCON. We would never expect Abdul to turn down a Euros call up. Imagine if KDH got an England call up and turned it down. It wouldn't happen. I will, however, be happy if we have him and Nacho available through Jan/Feb. Not sure Fatawu starts ahead of Kudus and iheanacho definitely doesn't start ahead of Osihmen.
  7. I'd imagine Doyle will need to prove he is capable of performing again and over a long period before us spending £20m on him. Particularly as he's not the paciest of players to start with.
  8. Hermansen Ricardo Coady Faes Justin Winks Ndidi Yunus Fatawu Daka Mavididi V Millwall Hermansen Faes Vestergaard Nelson Doyle Choudhury Casadei KDH Yunus Cannon Marcal
  9. I think someone will buy Vest for £10-12m if we go up. A bundesliga, champo, eredivisie or ligue 1 side. He can't play the same role in the prem due to pace, but has resurrected his career implementing Enzo ball. On another note, KDH has clearly been told to straighten his runs with the ball. Notable last night how instead of turning and running left channel as he usually does he ran straight at central defenders - 3 or 4 times.
  10. 17 points clear of 4th place is mind boggling. Would love to see McAteer, Yunus, Cannon, Ricardo back in the fold vs Huddersfield and some eta news on Vardy
  11. Hermansen, Faes, Hamza, Justin, Winks, KDH, Ndidi, Mavididi, Fatawu all cracking. Vestergaard a bit ponderous and played people into danger a few times. Daka was Cardiff's most creative player as Elliot said and should have been hooked at half time. First touch like the Yorkshire ripper and composure of a 12yo at a Taylor Swift concert.
  12. You could do a much longer set of videos for Nacho and for Vardy for the games they've played this season.
  13. I will set my alarm for 8.30pm when there are a 100 comments on how shit Daka is playing and how he needs hooked for Nacho or Cannon....
  14. No game choice on red button?
  15. Daka isn't as good a player as Iheanacho. I'll keep saying it until people stop thinking two goals against Rotherham somehow makes Daka, Pele. He has been called a 'competition winner', and 100s of comments of 'is he even a footballer' and all sorts of other stuff but then he puts two in on the line and a peno v a club thats rock bottom and all of a sudden he's first choice. Meanwhile a guy who's played in the team to get us a record start is dogshit and uninterested...... 1 shit game v Cardiff and everyone will say 'let Daka go in the window' i guarantee it. It's mental. Iheanacho won us an FA Cup pretty much, and a charity shield... Short memories.
  16. Would we be back in for diallo?
  17. Opinions are like arseholes buddy, everyone's got one. Mine is that Iheanacho is a better player than Daka - backed up by stats, history of achievements and results this season . If that's the worst take of all time then you need to get out more.
  18. Casadei suffers from the Soumares. He has grown up with 2 seconds more on the ball and isn't used to shifting it quicker. He gets caught on the ball too often in English football as a result. The runs and the tracking back he does are good, but he needs games to get the pace.
  19. Daka has knocked two in on the line and a penalty where the defender passed him the ball clean through. Any of the strikers would have got those goals in those games. His link play and strength with back to goal have been no better than Vardy and Nacho. His speed of thought in lots of situations is terrible still but the tap ins have papered over the cracks. The 1 one 1s and 12yd chances he gets presented with he has fluffed, which will cost us against mid table and top 6 sides which is where we will need the better positioning, runs and finishing of Nacho and Vardy - of the kind that got us our record breaking first 19 games.
  20. Because Daka cannot link play aswell on a consistent basis. Iheanacho is quicker to think and act when we are breaking and that hasn't changed. Cannon is clearly 4th choice as he hasn't been given too many minutes even though fit.
  21. Hermansen Choudhury Faes Coady Doyle Winks Akgun Ndidi KDH Mavididi Iheanacho Fatawu, Ricardo, Vest a rest
  22. His distribution is 10x better than most goalies. He catches crosses and stops almost everything. He is the real deal.
  23. Didn't touch his hand, as you say. That no pen for KDH was the worst decision I've seen in ages.
  24. Our disappointments are always less disappointing than our competitors. Leeds win and then lose. Saints win and then draw 2. We have Cardiff, Huddersfield, Millwall, Coventry in the next 4. We will be on 69 points by the time we play Ipswich at our place and have 1 foot in auto promotion places with 16 games left to go.
  25. Best run for 70 years and they are still 10 points adrift. Saints will lose a couple inevitably and be 20points off. Win this game and we enter another tranche of games we should win at a canter. Could be on 79 points with 48 still to play for.
