We're 3 points from safety (2 really but with gd as it is). It's a bit OTT to be calling it over from here. It's almost as if we've not learned from our own history. The season we were relegated we had a shit start and then went on a decent run pre Xmas that got us back up to 13th. That little spell was better than the likes of Wolves and West Ham have recently put together, and once we were out of it nobody outside of Leicester thought we'd drop back into it. On that basis the likes of Wolves, Everton, Palace and even West Ham are still in it. We might turn a corner, we might luck out a few games, somebody else might conspire to implode as we did. There's loads of time left for loads of scenarios. Some of which might see us survive. Comfortably .... on 50 points

True. Trouble is he doesn't really do enough on the attacking front to make it worthwhile either. Whoever plays that role needs a proper engine, mad stamina and ridiculous pace.

I think the expectation for him has obviously risen. He was poor in and around their box, but he linked up play well and him and Bilal got an understanding together. You can't expect the previous heights he's hit to be the standard now, he's still only 20. There were a few times he ran into trouble and the chance that ended up being a fall in the box, he should have got something from that. But it's pretty clear he's still part of our best 11 and a big attacking threat.

You just have to read through some of the threads to see people saying we should bring him back. Generally coincides with Daka doing something wrong or Vardy having an off one. Don't forget we want rid of Edouard.

Given that they've now gotten rid of their manager and Shawcross is currently in charge, he might get exposed to a more complimentary setup for his abilities, so recalling him now would likely be a mistake. Especially if we need to sell players, with Souttar no longer one we can claw anything back on.

I think it'd be disingenuous not to offer some credit to Cooper for Boubas revival. One of the few things he did right.

Everton have only scored in 2 of their last 9 games. Good for them though that a number of them have been 0-0 (4).

To be fair if you're Ruud you probably don't let anybody know what we're in for cos it undermines whoever they're replacing. Fine if you get a replacement, not so much if you don't.

I think this is what makes this a hard one to gauge. It's Man City so y'know proven quality and all that. But they're also in horrendous form and you can see why. However I'd like to think playing that front 4 meaning we have an actual threat is playing a big part. We've created a decent number of chances.
