  1. Well they haven't bought Broja yet tbf.
  2. Tbh I don't think if any of the clubs that have the money to offer us that we want came calling he'd need to be forced. It'd no doubt be a bigger club offering him more money, possibly a greater chance of winning something (though our track record there is top drawer tbf) and he'd be able to leave under the guise of helping the club by way of making the move. Despite being a Leicester fan I don't think that means nearly as much when you're in the profession as it does to regular fans.
  3. Yeah I think you're right. A massive spike in income for one season which gets wiped off doesn't really help other than allowing losses to bookend the year the money was made in. So if we raised a billion in player sales one season, then spent £100mill on the squad in subsequent seasons, in real world terms after year 3 you'd still be looking at 700mill left over and be healthy. The way it works now, the £1bill income would no longer be in the 3 year period and you'd have made a £100mill loss per year for 3 straight seasons, putting you right in the shit, despite the fact you're loaded.
  4. Surely once Man City sue the Premier League they turn their attention to UEFA?
  5. Any big clubs actually want him though?
  6. It wasn't aggressive. I typed that in tears whilst booking a therapist.
  7. What are we gonna pay them with then? Compliments?
  8. And get Robin Koch in...
  9. He's just bought a house in Pontleand, Newcastle ready for when he signs next week... ...for Spurs.
  10. Saudi state already owns Newcastle though....
  11. Nobody is going to offer anywhere near a decent price for him imo. Talk of £40mill is well wide of the mark unless somehow Marseca thinks he's worth that, but even then they'll need to find a buyer for an apparent £55mill for Gallagher before they could do that, and nobody is paying that. Could go all conspiracy theory and draw the conclusion that we're after Longstaff for £15mill and they take KDH for £40mill to ease it through the books...
  12. Potter did struggle to get them scoring despite vastly improving their number of chances. However he did improve them defensively. They went from conceding 60 under Houghton to 54 and subsequently 46 and 44 before he left. So he did at least improve one area of the pitch, despite it being the least exciting part.
  13. There is talk of them selling DCL.
  14. Big stars in their side still and yet it's our very own Wout getting his mug on the send off video! Got an assist too.
  15. What do you mean? An African or European Swallow?
  16. What an odd way to make an assessment on a player.
  17. That's got to be bullshit.
  18. Gareth Southgate relegated an established premier league Middlesborough. That's his club experience. Potter on the other hand has never been relegated. He took a 4th division side to European football after successive promotions and tussled with far bigger European teams to be knocked out by Arsenal. He did an ok job at Swansea in terms of their final position but it was his transforming of the way they played that got him the job at Brighton after Hughtons sacking. Similarly to Swansea the results weren't a massive upturn but he totally transformed their style of play and in subsequent seasons climbed the table. His Chelsea tenure was pretty shit but I don't see what parallels he shares with Southgate other than being English.
  19. Transfermarkt isn't generally a source is it? It's getting that from elsewhere?
  20. Who the fxxk are FIFA? Self regulated, self appointed owners of the peoples game. Fxxk off. You're not needed.
  21. Oddly though I believe the opposite would be true. If he doesn't win the Euros, he'll get the boot. If he does then he'll almost definitely want a crack at the world cup.
  22. Yes but what you've suggested is that a trade off has been offered where instead of being offered 2 seasons, he's been offered 3 on a reduced wage which results in the same amount of money being paid to him. Which is absolutely ridiculous. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you've just worded it in a way that means my interpretation of what you've said isn't what you're actually suggesting happened.
  23. He was injured wasn't he? Wasn't in the later squads.
  24. Interesting, but what do you think is more valuable. 100-500 minutes of Premier league football in which he performs well (assumption of course) under whoever we have in charge, or 3-4 times as many minutes at a lower level at a different club?
  25. I'd be fxxking amazed. What exactly is the incentive there then for Vestegaard? Seems that you're saying we pay him the contract to the same value over 3 years as 2. So he's doing a years more work for the same money?
