On a serious note RW is the only position which we need a clear improvement for our first 11. A cb pairing of Fofana and Evans doesn’t need urgent improvement. That’s why I say after that we go like for like. If we sell Soy, get in a cb, if we sell Dan, get in a cb. If we sell Vestegaard, get in another member of the Addams family.

Top 4 should be the aim. Man City and Liverpool are a step above, the rest could go any way. Chelsea could be in disarray with their situation, Ten Hag could be a disaster, Arsenal and Spurs will have European football to contend with. There’s possibilities there. Of course it could go the other way entirely and all of those get drastically stronger, but the aim should be the top 4, and we adjust expectation as the season goes on. Or 17th and a trophy.

And obviously I imagine he’s a lifelong fan of us, naturally! 2 years left on his contract, Liverpool likely to move him on? His opportunities are as 2nd choice RB now rather than CB. Mind you, he’s on 75k a week so maybe not.
