That’s a no brainer for Cornet, he’s scored 9 in 26 premier league appearances (21 starts) for a cack Burnley side. His Lyon stats for him on either wing are almost identical and he can play further back in the wingback positions. Ticks a lot of boxes.

A combination of ridiculous money offered, unfinished business with the club regarding the CL and the current state of La Liga finances at the big clubs and the knock on effect of that have led him to signing a new contract. That and the owners threatened to butcher his family pets if he didn’t sign.

Pogba leaving isn’t an indication of them “cleaning house” it’s an indication of him wanting to leave. They offered him an improved deal. He’s leaving and agreeing to take less money than others have offered. “Cleaning house” indicates they’re being ruthless when the opposite is true, they bent over backwards as far as they could go and it still isn’t enough to keep him.

I don’t think he walks into most teams above us though tbh. He’s not good enough on the ball for Man City or Liverpool. Chelsea and Spurs play a midfield pair so need more rounded players. Arsenal have Partey. West Ham (still) have Rice. He’d get in Utds side but with Ten Hag in he might not want that kind of player. And that’s where I think Wilfs options would be limited. He’s great at what he does but he doesn’t do enough of what those other clubs require. You can’t just be a ball winner, you have to offer more with the ball than he does. If Ten Hag wanted a defensive midfielder to sit in front of his back four (which may be a possibility given how weak their backline currently looks) then he strolls into their side with his eyes closed. If there’s interest in him though, then he’s definitely more than 25mills worth.

But is that the perception of the buying party? Fwiw I don’t think Ndidi moves to a bigger club tbh.
