It would be nice to get him, but I think we’d want cash as part of it too. They bought him for £27mill ish and Arteta doesn’t want him and never has. You’d hope we could get him at a loss to them. We could probably talk them into a loan to buy if they want to recoup the full fee, that way we’re not taking any big risks and can offset his fee against next years transfer window.

Does he? He passes and moves and he can hold onto the ball and fend off a defender whilst turning, but you don’t often seem him go by opposition players with the ball.

I’d have loved him but thought that ship may have sailed before his injury. He’d not be cheap but if there’s ever a chance it’s now as Wolves seem open to selling players and he’s been fit for a while now but Lage hasn’t nailed him on as a guaranteed starter. After our season though it’s probably too much of a sideways move for him.

I’d sell anyone if the price is right.
