No but its probably then a question of options. Did we have another option to go to that cost less than Vesty? Or was another 20k (if that's the difference) actually not that big a leap compared to what we'd have had to spend for a preferred option? I'm not saying we can't question the wage structure, just that the idea that you can stack a contract totally in the clubs favour is unrealistic. If there's no competition, you probably can to an extent, but coveted players in the prem, probably not so simple.

Spurs fans did say that in the right setup he can be an excellent player. It's just that with his injuries and a change in system Spurs couldn't get the best out of him anymore. That'll be a big factor in why he came to Leicester, he'll have seen that Maresca wants to use him the way he works best and so he can show his ability.

He probably will. It's almost inevitable. We will concede goals and some of those goals will be his fault. But it's not a major concern at the moment because we're playing well, he's playing well and it's going right far more than it's going wrong. We currently have the best defence in the league and he's at the heart of it. Why worry?

How much depth do you want for one position? If Doyle gets injured, we play Justin there. If Justin gets injured we put Riccy there and play Hamza at RB. Then we're onto a 4th choice if they all end up buggered. It's not really something to legislate a player for is it?

Really pleased with his cameo last match and his start today. From the highlight reels we saw when he was rumoured to be on his way here he looked very much like a Gray player who could beat a man and then lose his head straight away and just smash the ball into the car park. But he's looking very productive. And although Bristol were obviously playing a low block and trying to sit in anyway, they still had two, sometimes three shift over to him in anticipation of him at least beating one, which opens up space for everyone else. He doesn't actually have to beat a man to be making space and opportunities for others, once that fear sets in to the opposition. Positive signs.
