  1. Unfortunately agree. Wasn't able to push on in the Premier League thanks to cowardly management and a horrible injury. And now we're stagnating and he's not developing as he should be.
  2. Definitely. Proper they!
  3. I know the stewards and staff are getting screwed but I reckon they're still paying the players.
  4. I don't get it either. He's strong, decently quick and can play either side but he's not a skilled dribbler or an intricate passer. But I suppose if they're letting Bobb go as is rumoured then he's a step up there, despite being a different type of forward.
  5. Having not read any of the thread, I'm going to assume we're all expecting a resounding win and a comfortable end to the year.
  6. I love Fatawu but if the offer is mid 20's+ we will/should sell. If it's another Mads situation where the value just seems to plummet the longer talks go on then fxxk off. But we can throw Monga in a bit more and obviously everyones favourite wonderkid Silko Thomas can play...
  7. Lookman is the only one you've named there that's gone on to do better elsewhere. You can also have French Ed who absolutely nobody was having, so doesn't really hold water in this context. Under has been shit everywhere including with us. Barnes, Youri and Wilf all won silverware with us, and only Barnes has done it since. In a lesser competition. Vardy won everything with us and is now at a mid table Serie A club. Where's the "much better success since" come into it? They're in better positions than us as a club now, but they've not gone on to be more successful since leaving. That's true of the likes of Kante and Mahrez.
  8. He had a few on boxing day, around 3.50pm.
  9. Seemed to be getting on well with Hojlund at the end there. Probably telling him he should have replaced him at Man Utd.
  10. I reckon it'll just be about us not to expect to do anything in the window because of the uncertainty of any points deduction kinda shite.
  11. Wilf just scored against Tunisia... ...and now Lookman. Ex-players thread stuff!
  12. There's no way Fatawu plays for us in League one, and I think probably unlikely Monga does either. We're not going down anyway. We're absolute shit, but luckily for us you can be absolute shit in this league and still be ok. Assuming (yeah I know) the second half of the season goes much like the first, we're getting about 60 points, the relegation sides are hitting about 40. A points deduction still sees us stinking the place out next season.
  13. There's no real right or wrong answers here to be fair. There's ups and downsides to any outcome. If we leave him where he is, he gets a full season under his belt being the best (absolute standout) player at an absolutely shit team. The positive is he gets a full season behind him. The negative (for want of a better word) is that he's not really proving anything there anymore. The question is what does he gain, and what do we learn from him spending another 6 months carrying this on propping up the league? If we get him a loan to a league 1 side it's a step up. If he continues in the same way he has in league 2 then that further answers the question for next season about how he fits in for us. But he needs to play. It's no good him sitting on his arse at a club that have just taken him on because they need cover in case of injuries and aren't really banking on him to help them. But if he doesn't do a stint in league one this season, will he be in contention for us in the following year assuming we're stuck in the championship. Or will we looking at then loaning him out again to league one level? Which means we're spending another season slowly checking his level when we might be in a position to find out if he's on his way to champ level quicker by getting that done now. The upside is he proves up to it and we then take the next step and bring him into the fold for our side next season having done the business at L2 and L1 level. Downside is that he doesn't get the gametime because we don't loan him to a club that actually needs him. And then there's bring him back to us. Massive downside is that he won't likely get the minutes. Expect JJ and Skipp are the heart of that midfield now, but if we get rid of both Winks and Bouba then it could be a tempter, otherwise does he play? And if he does, he's jumping in the deep end in a pool full of floaters. The optimist/fantasist sees him come in, start, tear shit up and we fill a hole in the side from the academy. Not realistic though is it? A move that in hindsight either looks a waste of time or a stroke of genius. Of course there's an argument that, as I already said, he's not proving anything at Newport anymore, so even just being in the squad can be seen as preferable in some ways.
  14. He's not getting the sack. If there was any budget for January, you'd use that to attract a new manager and the window is open next week. And because there isn't going to be any budget, it further devalues how attractive we are to any potential suitors. So we're keeping him and spending fxxk all. ....and a happy new year!
  15. Makelele and Kante were notorious giants.
  16. You don't though, do you?
  17. I made the mistake of watching the Zambia game instead of the Wrexham/Sheffield Utd match earlier. Patson must have touched the ball all of about 3 times. Woeful game.
  18. The point was Mark, that we can't just have someone come in and shout a bit and sideline half the squad. We won't have anyone to play.
  19. You do if you're a Leicester fan! WAheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeyyyyy!
  20. I genuinely think people are going to be seriously underwhelmed when and if he comes back into the fold.
  21. It's working wonders for us though, can't knock it.
  22. Perhaps there's something contractual about him having to be made available if he's fit. Or maybe we're just that desperate and short.
  23. Well if there is any truth in the theory that there's some sort of trigger at 10 appearances, he's probably not going to openly call it out.
  24. We wouldn't have any fxxking players left. I don't get this idea you just bring in any old twat who likes to kick off at apparent primadonnas and everything works out. Marti has kicked Winks and Faes to the side, as most wanted, and it's done fxxk all to help results. People moan about Ayew, Vestergaard, DCR, Skipp and others being in the side, so kick out a couple of them. Then what?
  25. He's having some stinkers and it's incredibly apparent how devoid we are of an organiser at the back. At least one of your keeper or 2 CB's need to be constantly communicating throughout. Do any of ours even whisper?
