  1. Seems like there are a lot of desperate fans on here if we're suggesting Dyche or Big Sam. Please no!. Lampard or Gerard? Again it's a no from me. They're no better than Rodgers. Same goes for Benitez and Martinez, and as for Graham Potter, we've got more chance of getting Harry Potter , although the way things are going ,we could do with somebody with a magic wand ! I think we'll probably have to look abroad when BR eventually goes. Incidentally, Dyche's replacement ,Vincent Kompany is doing a decent job at Burnley. They attack with pace and purpose, press well and look well organised, although defensively a bit chaotic at times. May be one for the future if we get someone in till the end of the season.
  2. On current form, we need to score three goals to get anything from the game.
  3. In our situation, it's a straight choice of Back him or sack him. IIt's that simple, and there's no point in doing anything in-between. We've clearly not backed him, partly due to FFP restraints, but the writing is on the wall, so why wait until after the transfer window and leave the new man with the same players?
  4. Sky reporting £70m fee with a potential £5m more in "add on's".How did we end up getting less than we did for Maguire? Only last week we were hearing that Fofana wasn't for sale, then that it would take a world record fee .It feels like we've been bullied just like we do on the pitch, and caved in to our parasite club yet again. The club's gone soft and I'm sick of it.
  5. The problems we have with ffp are well documented, so we still wouldn't be able to spend the Fofana money without moving a couple more players out. Getting quality players to sign when we're bottom of the league and with a manager on thin ice may be another problem ,but the clock is ticking so maybe loan signings are the way to go. Three or four quality players with a point to prove without the immediate long term commitment might be ideal. I doubt the board would still trust Rodgers to use the money wisely anyway. Incidentally,if the Fofana deal was agreed on Friday, why does it take until Monday to fly him to America for a medical? As I said, the clock's ticking.
  6. Missed a couple of chances today and now he's past it? Really? He's not had a sniff in the previous three games due to a lack of service and poor tactics, so it's no wonder he's snatching at a few. All forwards go through patches of form and Vardy's no different. Stick him in a side that creates loads of chances and he probably scores for fun. Still the best striker at the club. Remember, form is temporary, class is permanent.
  7. From where we are right now,I'd settle for mid table and a new manager. I don't think BR has the players confidence any more and doubt he would bring in the right players to improve things. We need at least one CB, a RW and a beast of a midfielder to dominate instead of being bullied off the ball. There is still time,of course, for more comings and goings, but as things stand he would only get about half of the Fofana transfer money ,less sell on fees and add ons. Probably around £30m which wouldn't allow for much of a refresh.
  8. I'm OK with this side apart from risking Barnes who is our only wide player and Tielemans who, in his head has already gone. Would have liked to see Maswanhise , Braybrook and maybe the big lad at the back included in the squad. Don't get why some think that BR is under pressure and fears for his job. He'd just walk straight into another one with about £20 million in his back pocket. Some hardship, that!
  9. Hope this is correct. Badly in need of some positive news. Even more imperative that we stay clear of relegation! An announcement and two victories would be an excellent week!😐
  10. Low expectations would normally make this game a free hit, however the current state of both clubs at the moment means we have a chance of redemption . We will need to be as aggressive as Leeds were, press hard and deny them time and space. Defending deep is not an option against these with our defensive record, so go with Vardy and Nacho. Also bring in Praet and Soyuncu. Seriously doubt any of this will happen as BR seems incapable of changing from the defensive borefest that we keep seeing. Still,we live in hope.
  11. You can't judge any striker in this current setup. Even Vardy has been criticised on some threads and been accused of being past it. If we create zero chances, the strikers will never be able to do their job whoever they are. I'm pretty sure all our strikers would be more prolific in a creative and less sterile team.
  12. We were in G1,and the singing section were excellent till the end today.
