Why does it have to be one or the other? RVN is a shit manager, the worst we have had. However, the one thing I’d give him any credit for is trying to instil a bit of discipline as this has been lacking since for years around this club. Winks has refused and spends match days sitting having what looks like afternoon tea with his family and posting it on social media. He is unprofessional and uncommitted. They are both shit. RVN out and Winks out.

Vardy, Ward and Iversen to leave at the end of the month.
LCFCJohn replied to ramboacdc's topic in Leicester City Forum
Preston have signed Iverson. Good move for him, he’ll get first team football and he has a good relationship with the supporters there. -
To be fair, Coventry’s record transfer is around £7.5mill and that was in 2001! And Norwich about £9mill. Is it just me that thinks Birmingham spending £15mill on a single player in League 1 means they should have been expected to smash the points record? Obviously it’s not always that simple but smash the history of spending in the league by that much and you should have something to show for it as record output! To flip it, you’d have to say they’d underperformed if they’d got much less.

Thanks for the intel Mrs Okoli

Darling and Brownhill from that list would be great. Brownhill sounds unfashionable but he is the right side of 30 still, in his prime and would replace the goals and assists we had from KDH last time out.
-
Sorry but that’s an awful (but very Leicester), ‘Players to consider’ list! Majority of them would be on massive wages and not be coming for any reason but. We need to get the PSR problems under control not add to them. Kelman the exception. Oh and Doyle but I thought he was below average when he was with us before so wouldn’t go near him. Given we should be targeting players on the up, who will see us as an exciting move, and who won’t be wanting wages that will send us into another 5 years of PSR mess, I’d rather; Harry Darling (over the likes of Keane and Lascelles) Charlie Savage (over Ward Prowse)

It’s a good season, though I wouldn’t say great for Chelsea. Champions League qualification and winning the Europa Conference League. It’s not like he could physically have done better in Europa and realistically not better in the league as Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal are better than them. Domestic cups could have expected better given both were won by teams outside of Man City/Liverpool etc.

Newcastle, even if it was due to the extra place. To be fair, it’s hardly been a ‘rich 6’ lock in for many years. We had EL runs, Newcastle and Villa made CL the last two years. Palace with presumably their first run into Europe coming up. Presumably you are referring to Forest and wanted them in the CL but you might be in the wrong place for that Always hope for your Leeds lads next season
-
Same for me. To be fair, it’s a confusing place! In Leicestershire, Derby postcode, Derby is geographically the nearest city, you go on way out the village you continue into Leicestershire towards Charnwood, straight out into Nottinghamshire another way and pretty much straight into Derbyshire as you get on the A50! I always found there was quite an even split of Leicester, Derby and Forest, with a smattering of Notts County and others (glory supporters).
-
This is the weird point for me. When it comes to offsides they are determined to allow play to continue, even if a player ends up in a coma as a result like Awonyi. But on this case the ref whistled straight away rather than see what happened and let VAR look at it? I agree Villa had their luck to stay in the division a few years back but it seems the ref has shown his inexperience here is probably the kindest way to say it. Maybe if he has reffed outside the top flight more than in it, his mind isn’t set to VAR and letting the move finish?
-
So Forest were ‘doing a Leicester’ and comparing themselves to us in 2015/16. Their best season in 50 years! In reality, they finished a point, 2 league places and an FA Cup behind our 2020/21 side

Have a read of the ‘LCFC Supporter Bans’ thread on this forum…. If they banned everyone that criticised them, people from this forum that would remained unbanned would be you, Onions and Bob Hazels shorts But I never said everyone did I?

This is absolutely it. Top and co are so out of touch. It’s actually unbelievable how incompetent and out of touch. ’We must play like Man City’. This is despite the actual Man City and Pep struggling more and more now this style has been found out. Meanwhile, teams doing well have now adopted alternative ways of playing. ’We must have PL experience’. Meanwhile all the clubs you have mentioned are using data and scouting to recruit not just players but managers from abroad. Clearly Top’s method is solid though. I mean who wants to be an established Premier League team with no PSR troubles anyway?

Our owner bans large numbers of the clubs support for criticising him! He also puts out statements after relegation playing victim as well as taking no accountability for anything. Marikanas bans Neville for speaking out against him as well as putting out a statement not taking account for his actions. Similarities no? The you have the PR spin, ‘Today’s result confirms our place in the 25/26 EFL Championship’. Erm, the result sees us relegated to that league. Talk about PR spin! Very much similarities with Marikanas. Men children with victim complexes who won’t take any responsibility for their actions.

Also retains the Sheffield derby in the Championship! Even though those games are often dull. -
Championship 2024/2025 Season Thread

I’m not sure. In recent years we seem to have slapped Sheffield United around. Sunderland are an unknown so I might not have fancied our chances against them as much. -
Well yes, Rohl has kept them above water and without him, Chansiri would have sunk them. That said, Watford’s owners are massively trigger happy so being sacked isn’t a blot on Cleverley’s name.

I don’t know about the grass if we get the change we need. All I know is the current grass looks like my lawn after the extreme heat in 2022, brown and completely dead!
-
Problem is, if we go down to L1, there are many KPFC fans who will convince themselves that we were there when KP rocked up as oppose to them sinking us to a low (during their time here). When the plane banner thing happened, I saw one such person on a post (a non-LCFC page), saying that this doesn’t speak for Leicester fans in general and is embarrassing as KP saved us from administration. You literally have clowns making up history to defend KP, it’s a bloody cult. So you are right that they won’t turn. They will just twist every new low point we have as a reason to defend their hero…

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
LCFCJohn replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
But apparently Top ‘respects’ him and doesn’t want to talk to new managers Yep showing him great respect you pathetic little man child…. 1h ago14:10 Van Nistelrooy in the dark over his Leicester future Leicester boss Ruud van Nistelrooy has insisted he remains in the dark over his future amid speculation that he is to lose his job in the wake of relegation from the Premier League. The 48-year-old Dutchman, who was appointed in December, has spent recent days reading that his days could be numbered with former Southampton counterpart Russell Martin being touted as a replacement. However, asked about his future at his press conference ahead of the final-day trip to Bournemouth, Van Nistelrooy said: “It would be good to find out. “It would be good to have a conversation. It would be good to come together, if that’s what they want. There haven’t been any other conversations.” Asked further about the ongoing rumours of his imminent departure, he added: “I read them and go back to my job. “That’s what I’m here for. That’s what my responsibility and drive is, to prepare the game for Sunday with the players.” -
Have your say: Foxes Trust End of Season Survey (now live)

Yeah I suspect so. As I say, I am not inclined to but yes I hadn’t considered clearing cache. I’d hope like you say, people just do it once. -
Have your say: Foxes Trust End of Season Survey (now live)
LCFCJohn replied to Foxes_Trust's topic in Leicester City Forum
You’d have to go on different devices so I guess it depends how much effort people are willing to go to to fill it out multiple times. I tried to go on it again, not to fill it out again, but to remind myself what the questions were about financial mismanagement in light of this news this week and it says I have already filled out and can’t see the survey again. I expect if I was to go on a different device I could but as I say, I wouldn’t do that. -
It just signifies our complete collapse that he is leaving us to move to Crystal Palace. But yeah on the face of it, FA Cup champions, playing in the Europa League next season, based in London. Yeah it is a good move. It just stings that Palace are now so ahead of us. But the same goes for Fulham, Brentford, Brighton, Bournemouth, Forest, all smallish clubs that we have been ahead of who have now overtaken us. 151 the Owen reference I presume?
-
This would be so sad…. 41m ago12:00 Could Vardy make shock move to Palace? Jamie Vardy has been linked with a shock move to FA Cup winners Crystal Palace, according to The Independent. Vardy - who scored his 200th goal for Leicester on his 500th game for the club last weekend - will leave the King Power when his contract expires this summer. The 38-year-old is said to be keen to remain in the Premier League and the Eagles are one of the club's interested in offering him a deal. Vardy is just five goals away from 150 in the Premier League, a feat only 11 players have achieved

Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR
LCFCJohn replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Those (few and I mean a handful if that) who constantly defend Top/KP on this form are very notable on their absence from this thread… As for the debate many seem to have over the club vs PL/EFL. They are all as bad as each other. Yes the PL and EFL are corrupt as f***. Their rules are uncompetitive, designed to create a closed shop and they do target low hanging fruit like us, Forest and Everton (not without good reason individually) whilst turning a blind eye to the likes of Chelsea and Man City albeit that is a complex case. They are also displaying a somewhat personal reaction to being challenged back in how they are going after us with such malice. However, that does not detract from the shambles that is the club. The showing ambition line is a load of crap. That argument falls down when you look at the business we have done over the past few years. We have been badly managed, incompetent and the hierarchy show now accountability and take no responsibility for any of their actions, doubling down on their many many mistakes. The board deserved to be punished for how they have ran the club into the ground whilst deflecting and blaming everything and everyone without taking a look at themselves. It’s embarrassing to be a Leicester fan right now. Not because we got relegated but the constant breaching of financial matters and the reputation we have as a club. We have a deserved reputation as cheats. The administration accusations from 20+ years ago maybe harsh due to external factors (ITV Digital) but since KP arrived we deserve that reputation. Shadiness around our initial promotion and now all this in recent years.
