Top is just such an unlikeable owner. Absolute lack of accountability. Not just with the fan base, ‘poor me, the fans booed’, ‘not my fault we got relegated’ etc. But this PSR stuff as well. Yes the rules of BS. Yes the organisations (PL and EFL) are unprofessional, corrupt and incompetent. But Top and co genuinely think they have done nothing wrong and seeing them play the victim card make me embarrassed to be a Leicester fan right now!
-
I cannot believe the absolute lack of brain cells the people who post on those groups have to rub together! ’Its not Top, it’s Rudkin and Whelan letting him down’. What the people he has a choice to continue employing and refuses to do anything about! The buck stops at the top in any organisation.
-
Absolutely not. How are people justifying this as a good move? Beggars belief!

Signing Cresswell would just be doubling down on what has got us into the mess we are in. Older players, on high wages who don’t really have an interest in being at Leicester. We should be looking at players on the way up not the way down. We have enough of those.
-
You don’t need to worry. He already ruled out going to the likes of Wrexham and Sheffield Wednesday

Obviously I’d like us to shift BDR and Ayew but if Ayew plays more central, I’d be ok seeing him stay as long as BDR goes if we can only shift one as he offers far less than Ayew and is less versatile than Ayew given he only plays out wide where we have strength in numbers already. Same as at CB, I’d like us to shift Faes, Vestergaard and Coady but if we can shift the first two, Coady for the last year of his contract (same as Ayew) in the Championship I could tolerate.

Wow, Southampton’s dugout will be busy next season with Rohl, Still and Cleverley as managers! The media seems to be ‘absolutely sure’ it’s going to be one then then next. Probably the media having no clue but if that’s not the case, Southampton doing their business very publicly doesn’t look great in that none of them really seem like ‘their guy’ who they are going all in on….

Have your say: Foxes Trust End of Season Survey (now live)
LCFCJohn replied to Foxes_Trust's topic in Leicester City Forum
Thanks for your reply to my post @CosbehFox. Good work being done. I would also be interested in the same questions BrummieFOX has asked here. It’s great work being done but hopefully people can be engaged enough to make it more than what the club can brush off as a noisy minority or like Brummie say, a number to make them take notice. I hope people will engage. It is obviously damming to the club but you can complete this survey without being Top/KP out. That seems to be the divide between the fans. Most acknowledge there are problems but some think it’s either not Top’s fault or have faith (perhaps blind faith) in him turning it round. But given the survey is about individual areas of how the club is run, you’d hope people will do it. -
Surely, Top can’t have missed or misunderstood that yesterday. Loud and clear at the end of the Vardy interview with Dorset and Vardy there smiling about it. Clearly Vardy and Top are close. And that’s the third thing, after the ask Jon Rudkin last year, mentioning everyone apart from him when he announced leaving and finding they amusing yesterday that are indications that Vardy does not think much to Rudkin. Surely he will say something to Top….even if he has kept quiet until now. Now he is leaving surely.

We know this. Unfortunately our owner isn’t a football man and/lacks the intelligence to realise this. With RVN likely being his appointment according to accounts at the time, it gives him a reason to dig in and not let his ego get the better of him…

I have gone both on the basis it is, as others have said, the away corner named after him with a statue outside. It’s a relatively small area of the ground but poignant based on his relationship with opposition fans over the years. I don’t think a statue where Vichai’s is for example would have the same effect. Nor the entire East or West stand named after him. Got to be focused on the away end.

Are you able to share what the numbers of responses are currently at? Presuming you can see a live tally? To echo others, it’s good work. -
Got an injury at Blackburn away if I recall, as he was on a roll and didn’t get his place back and trailed off.

LCFC 2-0 Ipswich, post-match thread
LCFCJohn replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
It’s a valid point. Maybe if people stayed and got behind the team throughout the season rather than sitting like statues and leaving with 10/15 minutes to go, there’d have been more desire from the team. -
Can’t believe how many people were falling for the Potter hype. Absolutely fraud.

I think I would be if it was a league title. The cup win, while a great achievement for us and Palace, with Portsmouth and Wigan winning it in recent memory, it’s not unique. I don’t mind Palace winning the cup but yeah I’d hate if someone else won the league.

Bournemouth had Huijsen in their starting 11 at aged 19 with little first team experience (albeit a few games in Serie A rather than the Championship). Clearly he’s a different level for his age having gone to RM for £50mill but it does show they will chuck them in at that age. It only seems to be us that are generally adverse to trusting players in a PL starting 11 until they are about 24!

Jamie Vardy: A Legend's Final Home Appearance
LCFCJohn replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
Yep all this. And like I say, they have nowhere to hide after. That said, next week at Bournemouth should get absolutely vile! What’s the betting that Vardy ends up with a microphone later and slam dunks Rudkin He probably has too much respect to Top to speak out against him. -
That was @Super_horns , resident Watford fan..or pretends to be (we know when your loyalties really are Horns )
-
I still don’t think it will be Chelsea but now the rumours have started, I suspect we will lose him. Perhaps Bournemouth to replace Huijsen or Burnley to replace Egan-Riley. Such is our place in the food chain now…

Jamie Vardy: A Legend's Final Home Appearance
LCFCJohn replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
None of it would have happened without them (and Walsh). The individual player rises such as Vardy and Mahrez and the team achievements. We’d have been flailing around in the Championship chucking £10mill combined on Beckford and Mills rather than £2mill on Vardy and Morgan if KP had their own way! As you say, the best player and manager we have had. -
He’s on 199 goals for us. He damn well needs to score and if it hasn’t happened towards the end of the game, your team have a duty to give us a pen and your keeper to just stand and make no effort to save it

Have your say: Foxes Trust End of Season Survey (now live)
LCFCJohn replied to Foxes_Trust's topic in Leicester City Forum
I wouldn’t bank on the KP lot flooding this with positive responses. Firstly, they are passive by nature and probably can’t be bothered to fill it out. Secondly, even those defending Top and KP, they confess there are problems but put it down to Rudkin and either don’t think Top holds any responsibility as owner or that he should still not be criticised because we won a couple of trophies years back. But given the questions are down to the actually itemised things, it would be difficult for people to vote favourably. -

I put strongly disagree for an awful lot, which was due to the wording actually being positive leading in nature. Yes the example you have given is negative leading but most weren’t. -
Jamie Vardy: A Legend's Final Home Appearance
LCFCJohn replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
I think everyone who isn’t hell bent on defending KP at all costs realises this is very convenient to them. However, we will not see a Vardy type again. Especially given the club is adverse to trying to find value in the transfer market. I have no objection to it being a celebration and goodbye to Vardy today. They will have nowhere to hide once the season starts again. No players left (aside from academy products who will probably all be flogged over the summer) who anyone gives a damn about. Their time will come and it will get more and more toxic…
