Just don’t trust them to continue it in the second half

You’re laughing but it’s shameful we don’t have the floodlit cup on our honours… -

The last paragraph is how I feel (although I did meet some Cov fans on holiday in France as a kid and they were decent). Being from NW Leicestershire, I knew many more Derby fans than others and they are all (that I have met) sound. I always want to be above the local sides but I don’t wish badly upon Derby. They were there backing their club through their bad times unlike others (like Coventry and Forest). Forest I have found to be much more arrogant and deluded so I always hope they fail on the pitch. Coventry are just online gobshites and trolls that I wouldn’t otherwise give any consideration to. -

Makes you as bad as them then to be fair. Administration and liquidation when it happens affects more than it’s the club and supporter and affects the whole community. Want them to be crap on the pitch is fair enough and I’d find it funny if Forest fell through the divisions and ended up in L1 again. Doesn’t mean I would want them to go into administration as there are plenty of good, decent people supporting all clubs and working in the communities who rely upon them. -

To be fair, Boro were 2-0 up when I last bothered checking. I didn’t see any of the game as a the Traitors takes priority! -

Looks like @Md9 even leaves TV games on 85 minutes -

@Sky Blues, why do your lot have such an unhealthy hatred/obsession with us? I just had a wonder onto your forum to see thoughts on the game and there’s a whole thread dedicated to hoping we get a points deduction and banging on about administration in 2002. There’s a Leicester fan on there who is probably similar to yourself in being quite reasonable and actually talking football and the reaction to them compared to how you have pretty much been accepted on here (bar a few) is very different. Actively begging for another club to have points deductions and wanting them to go into administration is pretty pathetic and a poor reflection on your fan base to be fair. I’m sure we’d all find it quite amusing if you were to blow promotion after being so far ahead and your fans being gobshites but I doubt most of us were laughing at your mess under SISI. -
Leeds and Middlesbrough both beat us twice each with ease. We had no ideas against them and it was more than not taking chances. So Farke and Carrick definitely out thought Maresca.

The home performance against you was our best performance of the season though. You said before we couldn’t hit a barn door that day. That is essentially the opposite of the rest of the season. Pretty much every other game we are dire and look like we’ve never seen a football before. We tend to carve out a couple of chances tops and players like James and Reid have been taking them. But at the other end, defensively our structure is so poor and the likes of Thomas being individually poor and targeted by every team we play means we will concede at least one (usually more) at the couple of chances we create at the other end often aren’t enough. I think the clean sheet against Cheltenham at the weekend was our fist since that game against yourselves by the way. -
I was going to say this. She had also said I believe that she would give the winnings to a cancer charity so she didn’t need the money. In fact given it’ll be less an £100k, she could still give to charity form her work and book sales. She was just doing it for either the challenge and/or (probably both) the exposure for book sales. I agree she just wanted to stir things up.

This guy has been mentioned by some on here right? 31m ago12:24 Birmingham interested in exploring deal for Denmark U20 international Latest from Sky Sports News' Rob Dorsett: Birmingham City are interested in exploring a deal for the man who won the golden boot in Sweden's top division last season, August Priske. Priske is 21-years-old, a Danish U20 international, who scored 18 goals in 27 matches for Djurgardens IF in the Allsvenskan League. One source has told us that talks are at an advanced stage, although that has been questioned elsewhere. Birmingham are likely to face competition for his signature, with interest from a number of clubs in Europe, including Lille and Besiktas.

Way way out of our league!
-
Hmm. I’m not a critic of his and he does add to us and scores some key goals in December. But this proof is not already known that these awards are based purely on goal scoring exploits as there will have been other players in this league who had better months and contributed to positive team performances

To be fair, Choudhury’s good form at Sheff Utd was when they moved him to his natural position as a defensive midfielder. It is us who have this obsession with playing him at full back. Not that I am saying Joseph is currently better than he is but just that it wasn’t playing right back that made him a fan favourite when on loan.

I mean, clearly you’re going to win. I don’t think we exactly need 90 excruciating minutes (from our perspective) to know this. -
We wouldn’t win the squad in our current situation (ownership/playing squad) with anyone in charge to be fair. We did make the 1/4’s of both cups on a few occasions during our 10 years away from the PL but I still don’t think their is any manager who could achieve even that in the current climate.
-
Tongue in cheek! Barnes is a very very good player. He was underrated when here. King is more due to the longevity and winning all the 3 leagues with us. I don’t think anyone really overrated him in terms of ability. High end Championship player who played a part in the PL but wasn’t really a key player. Chilwell, Barnes and KDH are better more recent examples. But honestly, things are just so crap at the minute it’s the most positive thing we have going so I don’t begrudge people enjoying seeing them get chances. None of them will be playing for us in the PL anyway as I doubt we’ll be back there during their careers but hopefully they make an impact here and/or make us some decent profit.
-
Monga, Page and Nelson look to have it. Not saying the elite (🤮) clubs but like KDH, Barnes level. Aluko looks promising but whether PL or a bit lower unsure. The younger ones I haven’t seen enough of. I don’t believe Braybrooke and Alves will but as we won’t either, could still forge good careers with us.

Yeah exactly. Mind boggles. I don’t get why people love to rip into literal kids anyway but particularly being those who claim to ‘back the lads’! I bet most of them didn’t watch the Cheltenham game anyway. It wasn’t the most accessible being a small away end and TNT. I can’t imagine these casual fans are the type to have the box to watch all matches. So I tend to agree it is based on the Southampton game.
-
It’s the principle that anyone would think, hmm, I don’t support the boycott but I’m going to stay at home to watch Corriedale that I find amusing, and how this is being pushed (along with the weather and back to work/school) as a viable reason for having about 12.5k home fans there!
-
Just too obvious isn’t it? I haven’t bashed Cifuentes as much as others but for all the faults in the squad, and for the good he has done like banish Winks and Faes, this supposed system is not getting the best out of what he has. In terms of the midfield and forwards, a return to that part of Maresca’s system would help.
-
They are still hoping for Rodgers to turn it round as well I just think there’s no need to be jumping in with negativity towards youngsters who are literally in their first handful of appearances. Unless you are inherently against youth players which for me means you are both bitter and clueless to what is needed for clubs like ours to compete.
-
One of those being the 4-0 win at Cheltenham of all places. Away end had some fun that day with the conga and having a great time with the Cheltenham fans. Hearing these accounts of the lifelessness in the away end at that same place yesterday shows how we have fallen in terms of how fans can relate to the club now.

Any lower league. Wigan, Port Vale, Burton, Mansfield, Grimsby or Macclesfield.
