  1. Just bumped into a neighbour of mine who is a Blades fan and at the game last night. Nothing surprising about what he said. Was expecting a tough game but was shocked how bad we were. He wasn’t mocking, was genuinely shocked and apologetic for us having to watch that. He said definitely the worst side they have seen down there for some time. Not seen a side incapable of finding their own team mate as often with numerous times just passing the ball straight out etc etc. Always good to raise awareness with other fans though. He said he had heard some Leicester fans talking about the boycott but I made him aware of the issues and he was very supportive of the action the fans need to take. I think most reasonable people will do. It’s unfortunate we have many of our own supporters actively working against this…
  2. What about the analogy where one child is in hospital, the other at home with a cold and the dad is down the pub with his mates each night?
  3. Will leave this here re the bolded word… A cult is a group dynamic where devotion to leadership suppresses criticism and replaces rational evaluation with unquestioning loyalty.
  4. I don’t know if that was me. I know I had a debate with someone, might have been you. If so, I would like to retract any defence of Thomas that I made and admit my judgement on that was well off…. I really thought he should have been able to finally settle down and find some form at this level. I am often guilty of wanting to give players more time than other people do. But he’s been atrocious. Whether he can regroup if he went elsewhere or not is still a question but why would he have wanted to stay here. Maybe he has an emotional attachment as a fan. Likely money though. I’d like to think if I was a player, I’d rather enjoy my football and perform well at a lower level than be completely out my depth and targeted like he is being each well. But perhaps the money is just too much of a reality.
  5. I’d say those results yesterday just about do for any play off hopes we might have had. Yes it’s only 6 points but we can barely string 2 wins together…. And that’s before any deduction.
  6. Or the actual hot day on the opening day against Brentford where he didn’t make any subs! Then again, reptiles blood does run differently to ours which might explain him not getting hot and cold right!
  7. Were you vocal about the ownership as well as the poor performance? Just wondering if it is another case of these people resorting to physical violence against innocent fans s a result of them defending Aiyawatt.
  8. Is it yourself the original poster I replied to was referring to?
  9. FFS, these people (I won’t use the term @Dahnsouff) are out of control. People who care about what is happening are expressing there right to free speech and getting attacked for it. Absolutely unacceptable and yet they won’t get kicked out or banned. What did you get banned for again @Dan?
  10. Go on? Presumably some fans expressing anger at the state of the club being attacked by those defending the regime at all costs?
  11. I know Sheff Utd are a good side at this level but they aren’t world beaters. The fact we can’t get a kick or get out our own half is appalling.
  12. Proves what point? So what if they have sent the messages you said. It’s the reason why that is of interest. It’s clear to see where the aggression comes from. It’s by those defending Aiyawatt just as it was the same people attacking those calling for Rodgers head. What ‘feedback’ do you think they are reacting to? ‘Oh, UFS, your drum is too loud’? No, they will be getting harassed by those who sit on their hands and don’t open their mouths to back the team or add to the atmosphere at games and only seem to come to life when it comes to attacking Leicester fans.
  13. Yeah, clueless. They are all that is wrong with football.
  14. I mean without using terms like KPFC or over complicating things. Yes, if he did the things you mention in your structure heading, people would likely back off as ultimately, this has never been a witch hunt, is it people concerned about the running and direction of the club. Aiyawatt will have had more patience from all fans, even those who despise him now, due to the past. But many of us now look to the present and future and have turned. But like I say, does the trust ever fully come back or would concerns of a repeat be round the corner? The idolatry heading. Yes, unfortunately the fan base is divided. Both sides rub each other the wrong way and it distracts from the issues. I ultimately think like any other club is, owners should be accountable and take criticism for their failings. We have a situation where we have a section of the fan base who won’t do this. Who won’t hear a critical word against the guy. I realise I could be biased but that for me is where the problem and the divide comes from. And this is why Aiyawatt/KP need to go regardless for me. We need to return to a position whereby the club is first and foremost, the key consideration and the most important thing. This club has been in existence since 1884. Our ancestors supported the club and it is not Aiyawatt, KP or Vichai. But these people make it that way and that is a big problem.
  15. I’m not sure you have said anything I haven’t. Even if things miraculously repaired (I agree they won’t), does that trust come back? Put it this way, if your partner continuously cheated on you, to your face and disrespected your relationship, but you stayed together and worked past it. Would the trust ever be 100% back how it used to be? And what about the actual bulk of what my post said that you have quoted? Even if all that happened, this has shown that one man is bigger than the club. What if things go wrong again? You don’t think it’s a problem having a custodian of the club who is immune to being criticised?
  16. Any chance it is because what they are being messaged is unwarranted abuse and harassment? That seems more likely. The aggression within the fan base seems to always stem from the cult, not those who are calling for accountability and change. If I had to wager, I’d say that UFS members harassed by the type of people like the guy who attacked them in the stands the other day. And the messages you are referencing are in reply.
  17. No. Hypothetically, he could come to a realisation and fix it all (yeah right). But the trust is broken. And importantly, this whole episode to date, has shown that it is dangerous to have someone owning the club who a large number of supporters idolise and support more than the club. Managers and players move on much more regularly but an owner is the custodian of the club on behalf of the community and city. They need to be accountable for mistakes they make and damage they cause. As the fan base won’t do this, we need change.
  18. Sheffield Wednesday fans identify very similar things happening in the years building up to 2025 when it all exploded with Chansiri. The only difference is they have bottomed out and we haven’t yet. Same path, further back on it. And yes, I do live in Sheffield. And yes I do have neighbours who support Wednesday and work with Wednesday fans and do speak to them regularly!
  19. Chelsea are so odd. They have the financial means anyway, large club with sustained success, to be able to just build a strong, balanced squad that is capable of challenging Man City in years before and Liverpool (over Klopp’s era) and this year it’s Arsenal. They just seem more focused on finding loopholes such as selling hotels and women’s team and the PSR trade transfers with other clubs. But in the process, they bring so many average and worse players through the door and have such an unbalanced squad with a few stars but loads of crap as well. Guaranteed they would be better off if they just focused on football rather than ways to cheat the system. I was not Maresca’s biggest fan in that I feel his philosophy has been moved on from, his stubbornness to change it up etc. But that’s not saying he’s a bad manager and if he angry about the same things I have said above, fair play to him. He’s a football manager and likely just wants to focus on the football, without the circus going on around him. Unfortunately he has chosen to manage as two of the biggest circuses going!
  20. He should have been nowhere near it. I have to say, I agree with @The Year Of The Fox on nearly everything but I saw you were getting into a debate about the 2024 Championship win shouldn’t have been celebrated at all. I disagree with that as there were many who were not involved in the decline (Maresca and his staff and a number of players) as well as younger fans who might not have been supporting long. So it was still to be celebrated as it was also a record for the second tier titles won. But, it should have been the manger, his staff and players and families and Aiyawatt who was responsible for the relegation shouldn’t have been anywhere near it, let alone bringing all the hangers on.
  21. A good hill to be on Our promotion in 2014 was tarred (in the wider footballing world) with accusations of financially cheating for want of a better way of saying it. But I have always felt that was unfair as Pearson had got rid of a lot of the bigger earners (Beckford, Danns, Mills etc) and the promotion squad was much more cheaply put together. If there’s something we know about Leicester City as this point, it’s that when we spend a shit load, it goes wrong. We never actually benefit from it or breaking financial rules like we are in the shit now. Our successes have come when we have spent little and spent smartly. Both MON’s era and the one left by Pearson were much more about culture which is why we are in such a hole now as that has been chipped away at and nothing remains.
  22. 1. Brought Nigel back. The end…. In seriousness, off the pitch Vichai was much more charitable and better for the community. It feels weird not putting Ranieri as a good decision but I feel most people felt that was a fluke and not through good judgement, if we are looking for decision made that were strategically made. I would say Puel as well, and the staff he had like Macia. He got a lot of stick but he stabilised us after the title aftermath and set us on the road to doing well again before Rodgers, Aiyawatt and Rudkin destroyed it all.
  23. I agree with this take. I thought you were implying that people who criticise the running of the club are 2016 onwards which would be a nonsense take but one I have seen others say. The reference to 50 years being an arbitrary figure. It seems like a lot of those who defend the running of the club all say they have supported for 50 years, to the point it seems that it is in many cases, made up to seem more relevant. That wasn’t specifically aimed at you. But it is true that to have experienced the highest of highs and lowest of lows, you only have to have supported this club for 25 years. But as you say, it is not about the highs and lows but how you get there and that is what is unacceptable.
  24. It’s one of them. I really like the player and would love him to stay. But if he really wants to stay, it’s also a red flag about his own ambitions and mentality to an extent. Unless there’s another reason. I’d hope at the very least, we could secure him and make a profit to help the club but who knows. Without knowing the ins and outs of the loan deal, option available and what that means for other clubs.
  25. I was just talking generally, not even about January. So even in the summer. He’s a quality player and could look at home in the PL which is something we are very unlikely to give him in the duration he’d have a contract with us.
