In fairness I don't think Ward or Iverson are bad gks. Just not good enough for us. Given the limited time I've seen Iverson I would say that he seems to be a better shot stopper but his distribution won't cut it. Really needs to work on his kicking. Not even passable. The club have really screwed the pooch when it comes to this. It's Ward till the end of the season or bust.

Ideally you'd want players pushing the first eleven for playing time. Unfortunately he's not that player. At least when our attack is hitting on all cylinders. That isn't happening now and I doubt Rodgers or another manager will be satisfied with aiming at the status quo. Need more young hungry players now. Our attack needs to improve and that means goals. This whole situation leads to another topic. What is going on with our player development and when will it produce players capable of competition for the first team. Luke Thomas, KDH and that's it? This club can't afford to go out and buy all it's players on the market. Normally Praet would be sold and someone would be ready for first team minutes. Not always in his position of course. Just hate to give older players new contracts for very limited playing time. Isn't that part of why we're in the situation we're in with having to replace so many players at one time?

Rodgers got the same kind of opportunity from Liverpool and with time (year) almost won the league.

Still back this guy 110%. Best of anything I've seen in that position since Rodgers arrived. An actual player who has the ability to take on players, create scoring opportunities and score goals. And he actually puts in a shift and works hard on defense. The guy has just arrived from the Ukraine and France and is now having to acclimate to the fastest, most physical league in the world. Out of all the show ponies in that transfer thread this guy by far has the most potential. If you're looking for the finished article you cant afford him. Lucky he's here.
