  1. Southampton looked very good against Wednesday. I think we may get a better understanding of how good they are today against a good side. We passed our early banana skin home game against decent opposition, let’s hope they slip on there’s.
  2. I’m not sure why so many people are bitter about him going to Spurs. He’s quite clearly far too good for the championship, he needs to cement his place in the England squad and this is the way to do it. He was nothing but good for us (of course he’s had bad games but on the whole) and he’s also been respectful In the way he left and he’s been complementary about us and the club as a whole since he left. I think it’s a real shame he’s left, but a shame for us more than anything. Anybody who boos him when we ever play against him again needs to reevaluate, he gave us some of our best times.
  3. The ‘new, new’ testament is released. ‘N’golos testament
  4. That’s the one. after a bit of research we got him on a free from Aston Martin or somebody and he scored our first ever ECL goal
  5. Very impressed by how composed that young wimger has been (who’s name I’m not going to attempt to spell) first time I’ve seen him and he looks good
  6. It’s on Sky! Main event, must be Lloyd dyers testimonial or something
  7. We didn’t win a game KDH didn’t start last season apart from Wolves at home and he came on at half time. I think some people underestimate how good his press has always been for us. He’s not technically brilliant but he brings organisation and can actually play football off the ball, unlike the rest of our midfield last season which left the defence so exposed
  8. 😂😂 No, it wasn’t. But I can relate to exactly how his punter felt!
  9. No excuse! I live a 4 minute drive away from QMC, I still refused to have my second child there. Although I did have to settle for Derby Royal because she wasn’t keen on carting down the M1 to get to the General whilst in labour….. Selfish if you ask me. look, I’m not saying I have a favourite child all I’ll say is one of them was born in Leicester and the other in Derby, you read into that how you like.
  10. Understand your point but I hadn’t mentioned Gerrard’s slip as I’m assuming you mean by that one moment? One of my best mates is a Liverpool fan (don’t ask me why I like him) and I watched them with him a lot that season. I would say to him every match he was a liability for them. That whole season he was a yard off the pace. I base my comment on the season not him slipping at that game against Chelsea because as you stated, that evening they chucked the lead away against palace was probably more defining than the Chelsea game.
  11. Fair enough, it did seem incredibly low. But still that would be about £11,00ish (haven’t done the math). still pretty good going. I just think Cov have done well with what they have.
  12. I think you’re right in terms of nobody wanting Vards and I think that’s the issue. Because Dakas wages are comfortably less in the course of a year than what it would cost to buy a new striker next season. But again it’s a gamble on getting promoted. I think loaning Daka out is probably the sensible option as you state but then you run the risk of not giving him championship minutes to develop in the English game or him playing regular football somewhere in a nicer city and going hang on, I think I want to leave Leicester. By the looks of it, we should raise some liquid from Somoure and Timmy so we should be ok with funds coming in. The hit isn’t actually on Daka, it’s on Vardy. We can’t shift him even if we wanted to and his input to outlet is completely unjustified in terms of business (obviously I love the guy and if there’s anybody I’m happy to do that for it’s him if I look at it on an emotional level) but that’s the reason he has no takers. whoever offered him the extra year has made a horrible, horrible decision for the club from a financial perspective. Liverpool did the same with Gerrard, when it was clear to see he was passed that level and shouldn’t be playing. That cost them the league that year as well. i’ll give you one guess who was the manager of Liverpool at the time…..
  13. Agree with your concept completely but surely you get rid of Vards on that basis (tear trickles down my face) from a business point of view, he will be on higher wages than Daka and if we are serious about being promoted you have to plan for that and say that next season we will need a striker that will play on the shoulder a lot more. Vards won’t be here next season due to contract situation and if we were to be promoted we’d then have to go out and spend 20-30 million on a striker that plays on the shoulder. Be a a bad decision to get rid of Daka when Kel and Vardy only have 1 years left on there contracts
  14. I’m not sure how true the below picture is but let’s say it is, that would suggest they’re using funds from sales (and probably a bit of net spend as well) on those players. if the below picture that was posted on here the other day is true, they’re average player weekly salary is £3,141 per week. (Based on a 25 man squad so the the reality is probably even less) obviously I can’t say too much but I was looking at a players mortgage for them who is guaranteed to sit on a bench every single game in league one who was on more than that. Of course, they will have players on more than that but it’s still a credit to them for what they are working on as a squad
  15. I don’t agree with the McAteer chance being a half chance. He should have put that away, it was a one on one (not a criticism of him, he’s 21 and that’s his 3rd appearance for us) also, Doyle’s header at the back post was in the first half wasn’t it? That was a great reaction save from there keeper. I’d say we were most certainly better and had the better chances in the first half. People keep saying they had so many chances but we had the same amount of shots and more on target from us. We also had clear cut chances missed that people are ignoring.
  16. Has anybody read the BBC report of the game? In short, it says Cov battered us and deserved to win the game. I don’t know how these people get paid to write the stuff. Unless I had my city shaded glasses on we dominated them first half, they dominated us second half until we scored and I’d say we edged it the last 15 minutes. Stats were very even for both teams to back that up bar we had more possession which would suggest they were more direct than us when they had it. Based on the above, with us being on top for the longer period of the game I’d say we deserved the win but a draw wouldn’t have been an unfair result either. fair play to Cov as well, they looked a decent enough team on a cr*p budget
  17. Never, I repeat never talk about Jamie Vardy and use the term honking again! I will talk to my grandchildren about that man. grandchild- grandad, who was better out of Messi and Ronaldo? Me- Jamie Vardy was son, Jamie Vardy was.
  18. Agree with most. Vardy should be coming on to see games out now. Through no fault of his own just an age thing combined with the system. Build the mans statue, pay the man what he wants but just start Kel. Painful to write that.
  19. This keeper scares me how far he comes out already. PTSD from losing it so much in the middle of the park last season I can just see him getting lobbed.
  20. Have you ever watched a game of football?!? clearly a 4-4-2, Vardy will play off Vestargaards flick ons
  21. You responded to me saying I know HE wasn’t being serious 😂 he was being sarcastic, I was being sarcastic then you were being sarcastic….. it’s sarcasmception at this point.
  22. You do realise I know he wasn’t being serious don't you?
  23. I think the easiest way to explain your point is to just tell people to google what a closed bridging loan is. Explaining it in a way that we don’t pay it back won’t really help because although the legality is the funds never enter our account, people will understandably still consider it us paying it back as we are owed that money (although contractually not anymore as we’ve already cashed it in at a price). if I were to try and put in laymen’s terms I’d say we were getting paid at the end of the month but decided to take out a pay day loan to see us through to payday
