  1. Even if all she does is relay issues from those 6 people to Top then she is useful.
  2. No idea what you people are getting so upset about. Someone who is available and clearly rated within King Power helping out for a while. Some fresh eyes and an intelligent manager is probably pretty useful at this point.
  3. I find the best was to stop these nonsense things being cool is to adopt them enthusiastically myself.
  4. Should just stand around chatting and ignore them completely. Or give them the finger in a very English way at the end while yawning.
  5. I have joined, waiting approval.
  6. Its pretty pathetic. Unless they are willing to control costs, they have to admit they need to raise taxes. Anything else is just smoke and mirrors.
  7. Do you have any evidence the Panorama show was shown outside the UK? Its certainly not available on iPlayer, because that is not available outside the UK.
  8. Pretty serious 10 seconds though. Anyhow, that is not why they resigned I don't think, they resigned because they were under pressure from dysfunctional board, who couldn't agree a simple apology statement in a week.
  9. I do think the BBC, particularly news, is so bloody huge it is impossible to manage. How can you possibly have editorial control over 5,500 odd journalists?
  10. Ohhhh Gavin is Trot, a Trot a Trot!
  11. If you mean have they put him in front of Red Square, then yes.
  12. OK putting the Kremlin behind him was suggestive, but they were talking about his response to the Salisbury Poisonings, and his love of the UKs enemies was almost comedic.
  13. I think it is because they are massive unmitigated arseholes. Could be wrong.
  14. For a lot of people particularly the elderly, the endless bullying postal threats are intimidating.
  15. To be fair to the BBC I don't think they have got much wrong on climate or vaccines in general - although some of the slavish repetition during covid was painful.
  16. I can tell you there is not much sand on Brighton beach. That does look like Cromer.
  17. Its sweet you think the left want to see balance. If we learnt anything from the gender nonsense in the past few years it's that the left wants to scream down anything they don't agree with even lounder than the right. That said the right clearly have quite a lot of influence on the BBC too - Jon Sopel on the newsagents noting the internal fear in news was of pissing off the right - and they have certainly over exposed Farage and his ilk and various parties over the years in the aim of balance. No doubt the right-wing print media want to see the BBC at least severely curtailed, as they well might, as the BBC is a direct and powerful competitor. This muddies the water somewhat, as they of course influence a lot of people. Bravery has been lacking in leadership I think, in terms of backing good journalism which reaches conclusions - like Trump is lying about the 2020 election, like the Tavistock GIDS was a disgrace and so on, without fear or favour. Panorama and Newsnight used to be good at this stuff.
  18. There is certainly a dominant activism in the younger likely to work at the BBC demographic.
  19. Young people don’t get their news from the BBC.
  20. On the contrary, trust is a prerequisite to achieve that aim, and the bbc must fight to win it back.
  21. Not an acceptable chant, and actually I agree with the statement (and the club have a duty of care to their employees, even senior ones) - I seriously doubt anyone at the club goes to work to do a bad job. Or that they are not trying. They are doing their best; it's just their best is not enough for where we find ourselves, and is at least part of the reason we got here. It's not Rudkin's fault he is not the man to fix things and turn the club around - it is up to the CEO/Chairman to see that and take action.
  22. That’s a very low limit. Hitting the middle earners again.
  23. Its ok, they promised not to increase taxes on working people, and that obviously means people earning under 45k per annum, and she is only going to increase taxes for people earning over 45k per annum. Sorted.
  24. Haha, much as the memes are amusing, if you watch the video, Trump watches in concern for about 10 seconds, then after the media lady sends the media out, he turns to face the camera again as if you give the man some privacy and at the same time acknowledge the departing journalists. For a man who reacts weirdly to just about everything this was almost human.
