He probably offered to send a mini submarine.

Congratulations, I don;t envy buying and selling the UK now, so easy over here, 5 weeks from offer to completion. It was more stressful cleaning the rental we were in before!

Europe spent more on Ukraine than the US too, but don't let that distract anyone.

Unfortunately he has an awful lot of power, and unlike most Presidents has no moral compass to limit his use of it. We are essentially back to the old pre WW2 world of major powers deciding things between themselves and other countries falling into line or getting invaded or cut off.

Except for political podcasts where Trump provides so much content they are struggling to edit them down to reasonable length.

I can't find this definition anywhere, which suggests either 1) You are wrong, or b) it is so entrenched everyone but you are too embarrassed to mention the real root of the phrase. I am going with iii) both.

I'd forgotten he was in prison, that has cheered me up no end!

No-no club more like.

How lovely for you all. A loving connection with a baby at that early age is so important, I have no doubt her ability to have what sounds like pretty normal relationships with her adoptive family is down to you and your wife. I think for adoptive parents it must be a bit terrifying to allow contact when you adopt a baby from difficult circumstances, your desire to protect your child is paramount. I hope your younger granddaughter chooses to reach out when she is old enough to choose herself. A sister and loving grandparents could be an amazing discovery for her.

Or the midfield, bench, manager or owners.

Probably their worst cross all game

Not sure if this is a sign of how we’ve fallen or whether Wilf is back!

I think on balance you are conflating two very different relationships.

Labour have plenty of time to learn on the job.

The major European powers need to seriously up their Military spending now, if not sooner. 4-5% I think at least, else we are going to seriously regret it. The US is no longer willing to fund our defense for us, that much is clear.

I don't think it does really, you just tend not to visit the same sort of areas when you are visiting as when you are living, commuting or working in a city. I have seen plenty of shitty bits of Paris, Madrid, Milan, Sydney, Jakarta etc.

I'm not sure again what those two facts have to do with each other to be honest. Plenty of other banks to choose from these days, so they are doing something right. Interesting that despite high interest rates and cost of living crisis, they have record low levels of bad debts, and they are seeing increased savings levels which hopefully means a lot of people have more disposable income.

Labour will improve over the next few years and probably win a second term, so no indeed she has sod all chance even if she does fight that election. Good chance Tories and Reform merge though after that out of necessity. The right finally has the same problem of split vote that the left has had since the 70s.

She paid for the damage to the cab the following day. This has been a massive waste of the courts time over nothing. The police officer made a second statement 9 months after the fact when the CPS said no chance of prosecution, saying how terribly upset he was, then in court seemed not to be able to explain why he was upset. I am sure he gets a lot worse on a weekend, but they concocted this nonsense case. Very strange choice imo and you have to wonder why.

While it is depressing, he is correct. When we are trying to save our steel industry by avoiding his stupid tariffs, it makes no sense to argue publicly with his stupid ideas. They are never going to happen anyway.

War is bloody awful, that much everyone can agree on. Except those making the weapons and ammo obvs.

Most of the time I think they look on Google maps, run an online valuation using the usual property databases and update their LTV model.
