I knew I wasn't imagining hearing this -
He's a decent player - fully believe he deserved his deal and good to see a local boy in the team. Definitely makes up in heart what he lacks in ability which we desperately needed after last season. I did think he was playing it very safe in the midweek game - did not get forward too much. Not sure if this was direct instruction from the manager.

Macquarie Loan - Cannon, McAteer, and Justin sales

Wouldn't say it's the main reason she's gone as everyone seems to be doing it, but agree the interest would be better in our pocket. -
I totally get the question of the OP being asked. There was nothing about last season I enjoyed. From the threat of points deduction and feeling we had to cut back rather then spend at the start, to the disjointed so signings and managerial appointments, to the general lack of spirit and fight through the team. I do feel more hopeful under Marti that at least the fight part might be restored which is a start.

Fantastic display of hatred towards Cov from Ric. Hilarious. The thought of having to start the season postmortem 6 games in if we lose -
Agree. I think he was one of the few players who actually put a shift in for RVN. Has been solid since. Only recently turned 24. At worst a solid, dependable back up.

Who was our worst manager and why?

Taylor without a second thought. Probably a bit harsh to say he dismantled it, many of the players wanted out. The problem was a complete lack of judgement on the substandard players he wasted the money on. It would be 100% on his shoulders as before days if director of football. Akinbiyi was terrible but he brought worse players - Lewis, Marshall, Benjamin. No where near championship level let alone premier league. I also thought Cooper was bad until RVN walked in. He was useless. -

Great interview with Lee. Interesting to hear how he became "Jobber from the City". Sounds like a good guy -
This thought crossed my mind today when listening to Steve Howard speaking on Radio Leicester.

Mads Hermansen sold to West Ham - Official
King Claudio replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I totally agree with this. We sold because we had to, everyone knew that and took advantage (just as we would). It's a great deal for West Ham, and a poor one for us (unless we know he hasn't/won't fully recover from op) Ipswich have proved that just because you get relegated does not mean you have to settle for low fees... We do because we are poorly run and have made bad decisions. -
Their Salt n pepper fish is absolutely fantastic. They are very expensive now.
-
I don't think anyone can argue they don't invest, they just do it so badly.
-
What? Largely agree with your list, but why Connolly? We signed him for £500k and a year later flogged him for £2/3m on the back of being our top scorer.
-
Definitely agree with point 1. Rediculous rationale to demand same as he was on at Everton. Regarding your last point, I agree and judge a manager by how well he can make most of current squad eg Enzo utilizing Jannik. It is a very poorly balanced squad at the minute though.
-
Nah your alright

Yes I get it's not ideal, we would really want him gone. Using the same sarcasm, let's lean towards the alternative which is to trust the board to put in a replacement... You know, the ones that thought Cooper would be good and RVN. All that will happen is we will have another car crash manager who will fail and we'll be hearing the same "we can't afford to sack him in year" There's going to be no money to spend, RVN has worked with this squad and has used the youngsters and this is a lower level so he should be able to make it work. If he can't, we can still sack him.
-
With all this talk of KP finances this week, I'm leaning towards just keeping Ruud on. The names in the frame really don't seem that much better. Feels like we'd just be throwing money away. We'd still then hold the option of a strategic sacking later in the season
-
Problem is that the fans seem quite critical of the Maresca/Pep/ Potter technical style. As much as I quite like it, it feels our fans would prefer a "blood and guts" more direct style. With this in mind, you can't really blame them for switching to a different lane
-
Maybe even an aggressive clench of the badge.
-
I think that's a pretty big sticking point and was always going to be the problem. They seem to be holding firm for the compensation
-
And you would have to get Ruud to accept no pay off for which he is entitled ...otherwise a good plan
