  1. This is a prime example of a fixture which would sell more tickets if on general sale/booking history. Sadly, because the club insists on only selling tickets to season ticket holders and members, it means there isn't a gateway for newer supporters to try out going to an away match. Similarly, it closes off extra sales to casual fans who can only get to very few matches per season.
  2. The start to the season hasn't been overly convincing, but to be 3rd in the league at this stage with only one defeat is more than reasonable, and it's a better start than many of us feared it would be after last season. Marti is doing a decent job and it's nice to feel connected with a manager again.
  3. He's a very likeable player on and off the pitch, and gives interviews which aren't too generic (similar to Maddison in this respect). The club should be looking to build the team around players like Jordan James, and it's refreshing to have a player who firstly wants to be at the club, and secondly wants to realise his ambitions of PL football here.
  4. The fixture is showing as sold out but in reality, it’s probably that the club haven’t opened up the next block/final two blocks. Not the first time they’ve done this and it’s very misleading.
  5. Just worth noting - the club state in the email that the survey closes on Saturday 18th October. The survey itself states that it's Friday 10th October.
  6. That was one of the worst chants last season for sure.
  7. The first block on the East Stand side has nearly sold out, so believe it will then just be two more blocks to open (E1 and E2).
  8. The Trust survey was fine, but agree about the EFL survey. In my experience, it took over an hour to complete.
  9. That ‘we love you’ chant needs to go. Good in the Ranieri days, but very generic and small-time otherwise.
  10. That's probably due to the survey including questions about how the club is being run. Following on from the Trust's survey, they're unlikely to want to encourage fans to give their views and pile on more negativity. Especially as the current regime is supposedly big on image.
  11. Just a reminder as well that although the current squad is good for this level, it isn't as strong as it was in 23/24. No Hermansen, Justin, Ndidi, Dewsbury-Hall or Vardy this time round. The absence of goal contributions from the latter two will continue to be felt, unless other players can step up this season.
  12. The adidas training wear can be nice looking, but I find it frustrating that nearly all of it features the King Power sponsor. This is not the case at other clubs, like Newcastle for example.
  13. The same applies at the end of last season, when some of their fans wanted the manager to go. They're different situations clearly, but it's also the same fanbase who said we turned on Cooper too quickly/never gave him a chance.
  14. This is what makes results like Tuesday harder to take. There's no given right to continually compete in European football or win trophies, but the club was in such a strong position before the decline started to take place.
  15. To read threads like this, it leads me to think more and more that modern day fanbases aren't that different after all. I would still argue though that we're at the worst end of the scale (home and away numbers aside). https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/the-fans.122609/
  16. The encouraging aspect for me is that Marti seems to be on the same page in terms of what the issues have been within the opening 8 games, relating to both the players and his own management. So he still retains my support at this stage and the problems at this club go far beyond the manager in charge. Tuesday's performance was another example of this.
  17. BBC Sport Match Report: After all, back when Leicester were taking on Atletico Madrid in the last-eight of the Champions League in 2017, Wrexham were being beaten by Braintree on their way to a 13th-placed finish in the National League. Even three years ago there were still four divisions between these two sides, so you could understand why the draw was celebrated with such vigour by the travelling supporters. Champions League football was less than 10 years ago. The FA Cup win was less than 5 years ago.
  18. Looks like we've sold out the North Stand side, given that the East Stand side has now opened up.
  19. 29,357 was the official attendance last night. Not bad all things considered.
  20. No different from what was expected really, given that second half performance from the players.
  21. Not saying it does, but packed-out areas can obviously maximise the level of noise produced.
  22. This wasn’t the case in fairness on second viewing but there were certainly areas with empty seats last night.
  23. The Hawthorns seems to be a good ground for atmosphere in terms of how the noise travels, like many other old-style stadiums. I thought it was fairly loud when it did get going, but expected better from the home fans in all honesty. Not aided by the empty seats towards the right of the away section which was surprising.
  24. The away following gave him some audible support at the end last night which was good. Still very much the man to lead this club forward in my opinion. Also, even if it's only temporarily, we've gone up a place from 4th to 3rd after last night's draw.
  25. It's only a small group of tickets which have opened up in NU6.
