I witnessed someone be ejected from a non-league game for chanting as people around kicked up a fuss as they claimed it was 'the quiet stand'. No such rule exists and I've never heard of that stand being designated 'quiet' although it usually is. He wasn't unruly. Wasn't drunk. Offered to move to another stand, despite having paid the extra for a seat. The stewards sent the police in and the police removed him. Shambles.

I'd be inclined to cynically just play all the youth prospects to try to get the fans back onside. Uninspired. Not sure what to think really.

Let's be honest about it; that 4-1 loss flattered us. Almost zero positives (nice for Silko to score).

I fancy that this game may suit Ayew especially if our wide players get up and join him quickly. I'd see this as two centre backs that suit him.,

The lack of Monga has apparently genuinely been down to injury but I suppose we will see how much he features. I like him as an impact sub and do thing Mavididi and Fatuwu are in on merit.

A friend of mine goes to Newport semi-regularly and confirms that 1) they are trash and 2) Braybrooke is their best player and 3) Opoku is amongst their better players (but that all their forwards are absolutely terrible). He doesn't think Opoku would get a game for most other sides at the level, but that Braybrooke would play for any side at the level and opposition teams regularly set up to nullify him. Quite a compliment. That said, they can't score or defend so most weeks simply turning up is enough to get a win to nil against them. My local non-league side were trying to get a player from them on loan (unknown which) but he trained with them and they sent him back (!). Only a rumour but at non-league if you hear it from a director its pretty much true!

Seems to be one of our rare non-televised games and can't get to the match today; shame as I had a ticket lined up if I wanted it. I have a VPN though and my DMs are open!

The strong word is that he signs the pro contract and there is a gentleman's agreement or perhaps even something a little stronger alongside it that allows him to explore options to move on for a fee. I would like to think we'd build in a year on loan back even though we'd be developing another team's player. Don't shoot the messenger and the sources aren't top level, but they've always been accurate before. Basically fairly common knowledge.

I think the lino gives it because he's witnessed how slow Ayew is, so assumed he must have been offside to get to the ball.
