Brilliant again today! Very rarely gives the ball away, great in tight spaces and physical to go with it! There’s an argument to be made for him and Winks to be the best CM pairing in the league, if not yet than certainly as the season goes on

One of very few positives tonight! I thought he took up some lovely positions, was aggressive to win the ball back on a number of occasions and a lovely timed run for his goal! Not surprising to see the only player that hasn’t been involved around this club in the past 2-3 seasons looks confident and positive ( Bar Abdul but not tonight) Will be a solid, steady player for us this season! 🦊

A win however it comes, Would take us to 15 points from 8 games Averaging just under 2 points a game With all the upheaval and mess behind the scenes, players still here that reportedly don’t want to be here and Marti having 5 weeks less than he should have had, that would be a good start!

Not as frustrated with this one as the Ben Nelson situation, Page came in and looked pretty ok, but it also looked like senior football had arrived a little too soon for him especially at Charlton- in a important position where you have to provide that link between midfield and attack He’s only 17 so he’ll have his time for sure, great talent for our future and I’m sure towards Easter he’ll be in and around the first team more ( especially if we get rid of a couple of bodies in Jan) but I think he’ll benefit more from playing consistent minutes at 21’s at the moment than 10-15 for first team every 3-4 games, Monga and Nelson look more prepared for the first team minutes in my opinion 🦊

Relatively happy with that! especially the loan fee! Clearly the rat didn’t want to be here, credit to Marti for dragging him at Preston and then sticking to his guns and leaving him out the last 2 games! Imagine if he’d played , scored a couple and was now going they’d be a lot more uncertainty and instead Marti’s given Page 100 minutes of senior football that he wouldn’t have got. Great section and atmosphere tonight! Think singing the songs for longer really helps build the atmosphere and noticed that happening tonight, It sounds ridiculous to say but think there’s something in it; sometimes the section can be too quick to try and move onto a new song rather than letting the noise travel and the song pick up to G1/G2 We love you, Leicester boys are we, Marti’s Blue and white army ; being classic examples of this! He isn’t match fit in my opinion, still looks a little off it. We played a blinder playing him against Fiorentina to prove to West Ham that he’d recovered so they’d pay us the fee , If anyone watched that game against Fiorentina he didn’t have a save to make and looked a little wobbly with a few passes especially in the first half. He’ll come good I think, the logical thing to do would’ve been to play Areola in these first 2 games and then brought Mads in for the midweek cup game, Potter’s thrown him in straightaway after no proper pre-season and put him under huge pressure.
