  1. Really should have taken my own advice!!
  2. Absolutely gutted it’s not “& Sons” at the end.
  3. **** modern football. I ****ing loathe it.
  4. He’s just ****ing nuts isn’t he?
  5. Broadly different - the Rwanda Scheme - the Tories claimed - was designed to remove all asylum seekers who arrived by “irregular routes” to Rwanda where their claims would be processed under Rwandan law. Basically no due process, just deported straight to Rwanda and never allowed to return to the UK. Unlawful and had serious human rights concerns given Rwanda’s record. From what I can gather about the Labour proposals, all asylum claims would be processed in the UK, but those whose asylum applications had failed and they’d exhausted all appeal options leaving them with no right to be here would be deported to a ‘return hub’ in participating countries, which complies with UK and international law.
  6. Warra surprise https://www.theguardian.com/business/2025/may/16/wealthy-britons-avoiding-more-tax-than-thought-spending-watchdog-says
  7. I’ll go and fetch the lettuce.
  8. Needed a comma perhaps?
  9. Watched it at home with my dad. We weren’t together for the title win but for every single other trophy we’ve won we’ve been together and often in attendance (including play-off wins). I have honestly never seen him so animated. When that goal went in I remember jumping up and screaming, nearly tripping over my flip flops and falling into the TV. Dad was jumping up and down and just screaming ****ING HELL at the top of his lungs. Neither of us sat down for the rest of the match. I literally couldn’t. In the lead up to the final whistle we were stood up, cornering the telly and anxious as ****. When it finally blew, I remember just two things - me stood still (didn’t want to break my ankles or the telly) screaming with joy into the scarf I’ve had since my first ever game. But my dad, in his late 60s, running around the ****ing house, jumping up and down and screaming at the top of his lungs like a 10 year old. Almost tearing up with joy just thinking about it now. Just an utterly unforgettable moment. How do you even begin to describe that feeling to non-football/sports fans? Or Spurs fans? I’d give anything for us to do it again but it wouldn’t be the same as it was our first FA Cup and just meant so much more.
  10. I wonder if Kemi will try and take credit for it at next week’s PMQs? ”We left you with the fastest growing economy in the G7 for one quarter a year and a half ago or whatever so it’s our doing not yours”
  11. Apparently the club will be bringing out every single player that has ever played with Vardy onto the pitch at half time, including Harry Kane who’ll be bringing his big plate. Half time is expected to last for four hours.
  12. No, it’s a disaster. It means people might have to start giving credit to “Rachel from accounts”.
  13. I swear Badenoch has someone on her team that actively loathes her and feeds her utter nonsense for PMQs every week. This is the store, Beales, that are having a “Rachel Reeves closing down sale” soon “because of the jobs tax”, going into administration in 2020, TWO MONTHS before the pandemic. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-51176418 It also lost £6m in 2013 and closed 10 stores in 2016. The CEO is also a Tory member.
  14. It’s really bizarre from some fanbases. I mean you expect it from the likes of Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal given their dominance - though with the rules set up directly in their favour it’s practically impossible for them to “fail” in the long term. It’s the likes of Newcastle, Everton and Tottenham that get me. Especially when they list their historical achievements. That’s all very nice guys but have they actually won anything in your lifetime? Until this year Newcastle hadn’t in SEVENTY years; Everton it’s now 30, and Spurs it’s just one in 25 years. Their entitlement is off the scales. In my lifetime - born in the 80s - not only has my club won ALL BUT ONE (2 if you include the 1971 Charity Shield) of our trophies in that time and for most of them I’ve been there to witness it IN PERSON. By the time we’d won the Community Shield we’d won League One, the Championship, the Premier League AND the FA Cup in the space of 13 years. That’s a ****ing insane achievement for a club like ours. But it’s not respected because we didn’t win much before I was born. Utterly bizarre.
  15. Remember when Hamza was being linked with Man Utd and Barcelona at the age of 16, anyone?
  16. When I’m struggling with my sleep I try and change my behaviour throughout the day to disrupt the cycle. Like avoiding triggers like social media or doom scrolling. Or drinking fewer liquids. Watching movies helps. It can help change a mood or feeling or just bore the shit out of me. I’m absolutely terrible at scrolling, doom or otherwise before bed - when that gets bad I either remove all devices from the room or at least the chargers to make the battery drain and force me to put it down. I wish I had the attention span to read books again. Hope it gets better mate.
  17. Yes. Hilarious that it took him 12 years to win an actual trophy.
  18. And with many of the same players! Kasper, Morgan, Schlupp, King, De Laet all started. Vardy and Drinkwater were on the bench. (Vardy didn’t even get on the pitch) Even crazier to think that 3 of those players went on to win the FA Cup too.
  19. Alex Smithies - 10/10
  20. Nope. “Rules for thee, not for me.” Scouse Tories.
  21. Honestly wouldn’t be opposed. We need stability and he would definitely provide that.
  22. They bloody well don’t. They keep telling us that!
