Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!
orangecity23 replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
If he did get any offers from other clubs, he'd probably be checking out the walking distance between their car park and training pitchs before he could decide if he could be arsed to walk that distance. I'm half convinced the "good at winning free kicks" thing is a skill he's developed to get out of having to run with the ball. -
Just did this as well, popped out to Fosse Park on my lunch break and picked it up. No bundled Mario Kart now, but hey ho, at least its here.

There's a couple of other Monkey Ball games on switch, Banana Blitz which is a hd version of the Wii game, and one other which supposedly was better (Banana mania - I never played that one). Banana Blitz gets quite cheap (£5) when it's on sale in the shop.

I'm another one who'll be all over that GameCube app on the Switch 2. Love the cube, ever since I picked one out the window display at Gamestation on Granby Street and took the magnificent purple brick home with a copy of the Resident Evil remake on it. They've made some nice picks for the list of titles announced so far, the Pokémon and Fire emblem titles cost a bomb for original copies these days so it's a nice way for lots more people to get a chance to play them. Would love to see some of these get a release as well: Mario kart double dash Smash Melee Twilight Princess Wave Race Resi 2 Resi 3 Donkey flipping Konga Eternal Darkness Warioware Mario Tennis Mario Golf Mario Strikers Metroid Prime 2 Star Fox Assault Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes

It certainly would not be surprising if it became urgent to change the PSR rules now that Man United are on the brink of breaking them. The league needs it's plastic willy puller team near the top, because the broadcasters want to endlessly show Yanited matches to plastic glory hunting tossers who were at school in the 90s and picked the team winning all the time (but wouldn't recognise Manchester on a map) to "follow" because they think associating them selves with a faceless number 1 sporting brand is a substitute for a personality. It would be "bad for business", just like they got to choose their own punishment for trying to destroy the domestic game with the super league plot - couldn't dock them points for that, because it would be unfair to "punish the fans" - strange how we never get that argument applied to us in the press. Media wants to look after their golden goose.

Vestergaard is a great symbol of how disfunctional the recruitment under Rodgers was: Needed a centre back due to Fofana being injured Had an ongoing issue of conceeding lots of goals from corners So the genius level thinking probably went: "We were fine when we had Maguire. Find me something like Maguire. Vestergaard is tall and can pass - just like Maguire. Perfect." Phones up Vestergaard to butter him up and convince him to sign He arrives Rodgers realises Vestergaard is way too slow to play a high defensive line, immediately kicks him to the kerb and doesn't use him for the next 2 years, flushing 15 million down the drain for no useful purpose. How was it a surpise to him that Vestergaard was incredibly slow? Anyone who had ever seen him play in the prem was obviously aware of this - it's blatently clear after seeing him play even once. How could you not realise this? If you were so wedded to the idea of a high defensive line, why did you need tall centrebacks (rather than pacy ones) in the first place - except to cover the fact you were abysmally crap at coaching organisation at defensive corners (was Souttar another attempt to stick a 6 foot 6 sticking plaster over this glaring weakness - one that largely went away when the club finally employed a set piece specialist coach to sort it out) Perez was signed for massive money to play out of position on the right wing, instead of just getting an actual right winger in. Praet was bought in, then sidelined, then loaned out, then used again, then left on a bosman. Soyuncu was sidelined and left on a bosman. This bad recruitment, coupled with the fact we seem to be extra-ordinarily bad at negotiating any kind of deal, whether it be incoming, outgoing or contract wise had put us ina position where the Prfit and sustainability regulations were at risk of being breached - but instead of doing the bare minimum to get the least punishment possible whilst maintaining the competitiveness of the club, we have completely destroyed our squad, lost almost every player of any value and loaded up on duffers. It cannot be stressed enough - we were so worried about a PR points deduction - which might have relegated us if we got one, that instead we set off down a path than has, instead, relegated us twice. And then failed PSR anyway. Because we couldn't "afford" to keep Kasper, or sack Rodgers - we've been relegated, which seems to knock about 40% off the entire turnover of the club. That certainly doesn't sound very profitable or sustainable to me. We were a lot more sustainable when we were a top 10 prem club before we decided to start "trying" to comply. Right now we look more likely to become like Stoke City.

Him leaving at a small profit is still slightly beneficial for PSR, because it would remove the several million pounds loss from next years accounts for his amortisation - and his wages as well. Of course that is counteracted if you go out and buy a crap replacement at a stupid price on silly wages, which is exactly the kind of thing our club would do. This is exactly why the prices we paid for Ayew and Skipp were so bad, as they were always going to have zero resale value. Ayew is a minus 2.5 million next year, and Skipp will be minus 4 million (was it a 5 year deal at 20 million?) for the next several years. -
Enzo went to Europe, to play the champions league-y, Forests fat bloke crying, while eating his Tahini, They said they'd finish second, they said they'd win the cup Now all the forests crying cos they've gone and ****ed it up

We'd have got points deducted the following season, the one Everton had 2 deductions and Forest were also docked points (which they both survived, due to the low quality of the 3 promoted teams). We went down the season before that though - Everton's first charge took a very long time to come in, and if you recall, when they finally got it they complained like hell about getting 2 deductions in one year - if the case had been heard more promptly, it would have been a year earlier - before our first alleged breach, and they would be the ones stuck in the PSR doom loop we are now in. So to sum it up: Everton's first breach was for 21/22 season. They weren't punished until 23/24 season We were relegated in 22/23, when we were alleged to have breached. We would have been punished in 23/24 if we had survived. Forest breached in 22/23 and were punished in 23/24 Everton breached again in 22/23 and were punished in 23/24 Everton's first breach predated ours, they were allowed an extra year before punishment. This kept them up at our expense. We would have breached in 22/23 and been punished in 23/24, but "escaped" because of the relegation, at the low low cost of losing our Prem TV money, our best players at below market value, and getting caught in a never ending cycle that has been going on ever since where we will probably breach every year going forward because we have no squad value any more and still need to ditch duffers, but any attempt at saving money means we don't get Prem cash and end up making more losses.

Something like this must have gone down: Top: Jon, I've been catching up on some old emails, and we need to talk about the squad for next season. I have message from Ruud, and someone called [email protected], and they say we need some more players for "the upcoming season" whenever that was. The list says they need: A new striker, a new CM, a new winger and a new full back. And the email from finance says the budget is ..... zero pounds. Plus, the deactivated guy says he would really, really really like it if they were Premier League experienced, preferably at Crystal Palace. Do you you have any ideas? Rudkin: I think I might be about to solve all our problems, all in one go, for a meagre 80 grand a week for the next 3 years. Top: I knew I could trust you, Jon. I'll go back to sleep now, wake me up when we are playing one of those fancy big 6 teams again.

So to recap - we were worried about breaching PSR in the first relegation season, because we might have been punished with a points deduction - worst case scenario, a points deduction could have relegated us the following season! So we sold Kasper and didn't replace him. Sold fofana and replaced him weeks later on the cheap (Faes). Failed to sack Rodgers because we "couldn't afford" to spend the money on the compensation - but has to do it later anyway. Desperately tried to reinforce at the end of the January window after it was too late. Then got relegated anyway, finishing behind Forest (broke PSR) and Everton (broke PSR), who both got points deductions the next season and stayed up anyway. Doing all that still resulted in us breaking PSR, but we escaped on a technicality. The following summer we sold Barnes and Castange, weakened our midfield and upset our manager by doing nothing in January and sold KDH (and Enzo) at the end of the season - and still failed PSR. Then this season, we went in with expectations of deductions , so hired the "free" option of Cooper, then let him convince them they needed "experience" like Skipp and Ayew, slapping a load of expenditure on this season (and following seasons amortisation), whilst only adding one player who might have resale profit value now (Bilal). We've ended up instead needing probably 2 sets of manager payoffs, got relegated a second time. Given we've spent a bunch and not made sales this season - are we looking at another big loss season this year? Next years accounts will be massive hits to the turnover again as we are back on shitty champo money again. So that will probably mean breaches in 2024/25, and 2025/2026 as well. How many more years are we going to be dragged down by this? We would have been better off just cheating like Forest did, intentionally breaching in this first relegation season but keeping Kasper, getting a proper Fofana replacement in and sacking Rodgers way earlier and getting Emery instead like Villa did that year. Everton or Forest would have gone down instead, and we'd have rode out that points deduction the following year because the 3 teams who came up were all guff.
