The ground effect era hasn't been good for him really, always been hard to tell how much of that is down to Mercedes building tricky cars or himself. Technical rules aren't my forte so I'm not sure how true this is, but I read recently that next year the regulations are pretty much binning off ground affect rather than being an evolution of them, so will be interesting to see how he adapts then. As for today in Q2 he was the usual kind of time off Leclerc and a quarter of a tenth puts him in Q3, yet he's not even 11th or 12th. It was stupendously close. Don't think running him early gave him the best or the track either

Response to this opinion very different to when I posted it in the transfer talk thread

There seemed like barely any overtakes all race, would probably have finished like Russell/Hamilton last year
-
Great track, but cannot remember the last great race around here. This particularly has been a snooze fest

Turns out they were biased towards Oscar then given how it panned out??? ....

I feel like nobody looked at the link which didn't display a preview....

Huge boost for us, looks like Barry Bannan will miss the opening game https://x.com/secondtierpod/status/1949411221427634469?t=ECtOLMNeTOL1SRyNZQhU9g&s=19

Started watching Frasier, I think it's great
-
Including Begovic? Not saying we were the only club in for him but he's hardly gonna be coveted is he
-
It's really not an extreme negative. 38yo free agent, highly doubt money is an issue, highly doubt we have to promote ourselves as a club/project and highly doubt we had to do the usual due diligence to know whether he could do the job we expect of him, which probably includes never stepping on the pitch for us if all things go to plan. Perhaps we've not been in talks for six weeks just because that's when the first links appeared, but even half that and it's still far too long to be dealing with this.
-
Seriously? there's being repeatedly negative but then there's being irrationally positive. May as well just do all our business in the last week of August then
-
I'm not normally one of those people at all, and perhaps he had multiple offers on the table, but if we've really been interested in a free agent for six weeks and we've only sealed the deal today (at best) it's not great is it? And not just a free agent but a 38yo whos probably just looking for back-up or even 3rd choice status
-
This must be one of the easiest deals to have completed, assuming no one else was in for him, yet it's taken a shockingly long time to get over the line

People who press the button at traffic lights and then cross at the first available opportunity, before they're allowed to cross, should be jailed

I've missed these Europa nights

Let me have a word with Eni Aluko and I'll get back to you

Mate if you make 10 comments a day that will be 70 a week. If you sleep 8 hours a day then that is one post every one hour and 36mins.

It's accurate as it is
-
And it's not (hopefully)
-
Surely the delay is related to the kit sponsor being up in the air... Which is another perfectly valid jibe at the club

Blimey are you okay? Who turned you into hackneyfox? When they're separated for 5/6 hours at most to go and perform their jobs.. sure, why is that absolute nonsense? If all this chemistry building can be done by being on the training ground together then why bother arranging friendlies in that case? May as well just play intra squad friendlies on the training ground all pre season. What is Okoli going to gain today by building an understanding with a GK like Bausor behind him who won't be near the starting XI this season? I'm not at all saying that we should only give minutes to 11-15 players but I'd like to think the squads today are split between strong/back ups rather than a 50/50 split
-
I've never bought two different squads playing two games on the same day as it doesn't help new players gel with the rest of the squad, but I guess that doesn't apply to us.

Two and a half years ago I was 125kg, through varying circumstances I was able to go down to 95kg within 6 months. Since then I have danced between 95-100kg. Last 6 months probably through additional mental health issues thats became a struggle to keep at, tipped over the edge of 100kg last week. I believe I can easily get that down again but at the minute i'm having 2 or 3 bad moments a week which contribute to added weight, despite getting enough exercise. I'm also finding myself to be an occasion eater, like certain sporting events or maybe times of year where in years gone by I ate this/that, almost like tradition that I must repeat the same this year or go big on it. My portion control is pretty poor. On the flipside i'm not a snacker and I don't eat breakfast (pros and cons to that I guess) so I eat literally twice a day. Not up on fruit and on occasions I do buy it to reduce my appetite for meals, it doesn't work and in the end I just see it as forcing food down I'm not hungry for ironically. Motivated myself to go on a walk in the Malverns a couple of nights ago and to wake up at 3.30 this morning to drive a couple of hours and walk the Brecon Beacons. Did between 30/35km there so with a bit of luck i'll be 96/97kg tomorrow. But like you or somebody else mentioned its now about sticking to it which I don't trust myself to do

Can we try and increase the nastiness towards Soumare on non-match days please? Cheers all
