Is that official? I heard that now the pts deductions and appeals are confirmed as yet un-named clubs had pushed ahead with their claims. One of the cabal of "football Finance experts" was on the radio the other day saying there would be at least 40-50m in compensation due via the PL. You'd think our lawyers would want to factor that lost revenue into our losses for last season.

For all the talk of King Power and Rudkin and who's to blame, don't forget the "Faceless 8" that sit there presumably advising and coming up with ideas. Operations Director? Strategy Director? General Counsel ? ? When anyone talks about sacking the board - this is the board. I'd challenge anyone to define exactly what any of these people do.

Or use the Winks tune I wanna tell ya I might as well do About a club that have won everything We're the Leicester The mighty Leicester We won the league We won the cup And the shield

Not only that but with Nacho in his last year we couldn't be sure if he would be here either. There were various reports about Palace and Brighton being interested. Everton needed a sale and if he'd gone elsewhere we were going to pay more for him further down the line. He's an investment going forward.

Go up and the PL will throw the book at us. Stay down and the EFL will tear us a new one. Personally I'll choose going up. I prefer to scramble to 40pts than have to fight past 24 desperate husks of former football clubs all whining about "Parachute FC" as we sell off our last remaining assets on the pitch.

Nothing but respect for what you've done but I do wish you guys would drop the little old Ipswich thing and references to money spent as you've proved that money doesn't equate to amount of success. The division is filled with wrecks of clubs who didn't make it back first time and didn't use their Premier League experience well - Blackburn, Stoke, QPR, Wednesday, Baggies not to mention your mates from Carrow Road. We had a hollowed out side and what was left was a frail mix of Rodgers rejects and players unwanted elsewhere. We jettisoned 11, many on frees and spent wisely on experience and promising talent. You don't just throw players in together and watch them destroy the league. I'm not sure we've got 5 times the money, certainly not 5 times the talent but I hope we both go up because I'm sick to death of TalkLeeds LeedsSports banging on about their golden boys.

Bit revisionist to be missing Casadei tbh. He was fairly limited in that 8 role and certainly offered no more than Praet or Akgun. You're not missing Cesare, you're just missing Wilf.

Winks has struggled more with Ricardo being out IMO. He's that link man in midfield, buzzes round a lot more, covers in behind him and is always one pass away from him. Hamza can break up play but he's rarely within twenty yards of Winks when he's drifting back into the RB slot all the time. The only pressing Sunderland did today was when Winks had the ball, it was like a trigger for them. Let the defenders carry it as far as they want, especially first half and then as soon as the midfielders have the ball, move in.
-
I won't go as far as immense but he was absolutely solid today, you could see him all game talking to the midfielders and other defenders keeping them in position, a defensive leader. He may not be the best defender but he's a talker and with so many young heads on the pitch we need that. Whatever else they are, Faes and Vesty are pretty quiet. Steve Howard said in the post match stuff on RL he could hear Coady from the stand (because the Mackems were so quiet )

Happened in the QPR game too. Doubled up on the wingers and sat one guy on Winks all game. Without Ricardo he's doing all the work in there because Hamza's not used to the inverted role and kept drifting back wide. -

Weird thing is he was so good earlier in the season. Maybe it was because we'd had Keith Stroud the game before that he looked so much better. You can't even say the crowd influenced him because that's the most passive I've ever heard the Sunderland lot at home. -
This is the worst take I've ever seen. Anyone watching Justin vs QPR couldn't possibly think that Doyle is worse than that. His passing - for someone that age - is fantastic and his early season defending was mainly superb apart from one game where (can't remember the oppostion) put their winger man for man on him and turned him inside out for an hour. "Not the most adventurous when he has the ball" should be captioned up underneath his assists for McAteer at Rotherham and Cannon at Millwall and then compared to Justin playing a ten yard pass to Mavididi into the stand.
-
Maresca was asked this by RL and he said it's as simple as having 4 strikers in the squad and one striker on the pitch. He can't play all of them. Sometimes it's Nacho out, sometimes Daka, sometimes Cannon. I agree though and playing him out wide as a sub or in behind another striker is wasting him too. He needs to be the one starting and then be subbed if necessary late on. 15 mins here and there won't help us or develop him.

I genuinely don't know. If you talk about the honours board of the club, two FA Cups would be great but I hate this anonymous, badly-officiated, s#ithole bunfight of a division with all my heart. BUT that day at Wembley, sexy masks 'n all, was incredible. BUT it's not the same as being up there with the elite. BUT it's a trophy. Can't we do both? Go up and win the cup?
-
More worried about Hull than Sunderland even though they've had the odd blip. Keep Doyle in ahead of JJ, maybe start Wilf and give him an hour. Cannon up top but I'm losing faith of seeing him start a game again. The players that have played virtually every game like Winks and KDH are starting to look tired earlier in games.

It's weird, when Stephy was in form he was getting hooked far more often. Now he seems to be trying to get him back in form by keeping him on. He's been all over the place since that Leeds miss. -
Let's be honest that "never quit" spirit vanished in about 2017 with Huth, Morgan etc. Last time it was remotely in existence was the cup final. We have leaders like Coady, Winks, Vardy but there's a lot of young, nervous players in that side.

6 games ago Saints looked better than us. Wouldn't surprise me if they turn their form round and pip both of them to second. The division hasn't changed in 20 years. -

No but as fans we were saying the same 12 months back and look what the club did in terms of recruitment. We were all thinking we'd be mid-table rebuilding, some kind of fire fighter manager and Championship hoofball. We back the team, get the title in the bag and leave the rest to the recruitment team and manager. You can dominate this league and get hammered next season - Burnley. All I'm saying is this season won't make any difference to how we do from August onwards. -

The players were always going to be cautious, they've just lost 3 on the spin after putting most teams away this season. You don't just start playing one touch slick football again and flick the switch. Its a mental thing. -

No point even discussing next season, it'll be a much-changed team and it's 6 months away.
